Legend has it that Queen Mereldas captor, the ruthless pirate Shake King, is in possession of a wallet that comes with an infinite supply of cash. With his mind on the money, Wario sets out to free the lady in waiting and reap the rewards.
Using the unique features of Wii and featuring stunning, cartoon-like graphics and animation, Wario Land: The Shake Dimension casts the larger-than-life Wario in a classic 2D-style platformer that spans contrasting continents crammed with adventure.
Playing with the Wii Remote held sideways, youll be able to overcome enemies by using special moves that are activated with a simple shake or tilt. Take Warios Ground Punch, for example - a powerful move that can be activated just by shaking the Wii Remote up and down and used to stun every enemy on the screen whenever Warios Shake Meter is full. Youll also be able to grab and hurl the bad guys, tilting the Wii Remote to determine which direction you want to launch them.
There are plenty of other ways to use the Wii Remote, too tilting it to control the many modes of transport Wario must use on his quest or shaking it to empty every last coin from the bags of loot scattered around. As you would expect with pirates on the scene, every level has its fair share of cash and treasure to pocket. The money you earn comes in useful when you visit the shop to buy maps, movie scenes and new items.
Beyond the necessity to make it from start to finish, every level also includes certain challenges that must be completed to earn Wario a Star, such as finishing the stage within a certain time. With all kinds of secret passages to reveal, youll have your work cut out for you to discover each and every one of the Stars on offer.
