Immerhin ist es wohl noch in Entwicklung und kommt nach GT5 ^^ Hab ich neulich auf gamefront gelesen. Hatte dahingehend nämlich kein gutes Gefühl mehr. Aufgrund fehlender Infos hätte man ja durchaus annehmen können, dass es gecancelt worden wäre...
Also wohl Ende 2009.

Square Enix hat das ja z.B auch gemacht mit Dragon Quest. Wär ja nichts schlechtes dabei...

Als ob sich Personal bei Kreativarbeiten so leicht ersetzen ließe... Spiele sind immerhin eine Form der Kunst (sowohl stilistisch als auch technisch), und da kann man einen erfahrenen Lead-Designer oder Lead-Programmer nicht so einfach durch eine x-beliebige Person ersetzen. DQ musste dadurch besonders bei den SpinOffs imo schon genügend Federn lassen...

Gerade bei Rennsimulationen gehört einiges an Begeisterung dazu, um das Ganze akkurat in virtueller Weise zu verpacken, und mir fällt auf die Schnelle kein Studio ein, dass die Arbeiten für Polyphony am GT Mobile übernehmen könnte. Die Leute von Turn10 (Forza) sind zwar solche Autofreaks und imo auch erfahren genug, warum sie als Teil der Microsoft Games Studios jedoch nicht für diese Arbeit in Frage kämen liegt auf der Hand.

Ja gut, die Fahrzeugmodelle vielleicht, aber jedes einzelne Vehikel will ja eine individuell erstellte Fahrphysik anhand ausführlichst analysierter Telemetriedaten verpasst bekommen, und das können nunmal nur die erfahrensten Leute, die fest in einem ambitionierten Team wie Turn10 oder Polyphony integriert sind und direkt am Hebel sitzen, gewährleisten. Ein bisschen Modellieren und Pipapo ist da keine große Sache, das kann man irgendeinem Noname-Outsourcingteam überlassen. 
(hoffe, dass ich jetzt nicht von einem Fettnäpfchen ins andere trete 
)

Gerade weil das modellieren eine sehr große sache ist, wird dies meist über outsourcing realisiert ;-) , da dies für die meisten Teams gar nicht zu stemmen wäre, auch die Fahrzeuge von PGR3/4, Dirt, Sega Rally, aber auch ältere Titel wie DTM oder LA Crash bedienten sich dieser Möglichkeit.
Poly sind eine der wenigen die die Modellierung noch selbst übernimmt, das ist auch mit einer der Gründe warum ein GT so lange braucht, und warum in den Fahrzeugen von GT immer ein wenig mehr liebe zum Detail steckt.
Dafür haperts dann am Gameplay. Na solang die Grafik stimmt.

Nein, aber das Video von GT5-P hat mir nicht wirklich getaugt, da muss das Team noch etwas daran werkeln, Grafik ist nicht alles
Solche Sachen wie "wegschubsen" und "kein Schadensmodell" gehören imho nicht in eine Rennsimulation.
Aber ich bin sicher, dass diese Sachen nur wegen der Demo da waren.

Xbox Live Arcade Sales, Week Ending 12/29/07
'Sensible World of Soccer' scores a goal in it's sophmore session, while newcomer 'Spongebob Squarepants: Underpants Slam!' has a mediocre start

Despite starting off to a rocky first few days due to the wrong version of the game being pulled and replaced 2 days later, Codemaster's The Sensible World of Soccer shook off the controversy, and scored a huge goal it's first full week on the charts, garnering an estimated 15,000 units of sales it's first full week. Even though the charts are still in their infancy, these numbers are the highest any game has recorded being sold for a full week - only free downloads have done better.
While SWOS was garnering all of the attention for it's blistering week, Sierra Online's Arkadian Warriors , Xbox Live's first RPG continued it's strong sales, selling another estimated 13,000 units - a slight increase from last week.
However, this week's only new title, a Spongebob Squarepants game (a favorite cartoon in the United states) started rather weakly, with an estimated 1,400 units sold. Despite being released the week of Christmas, children tended to buy other big games with any newly-recieved points cards. Although Spongebob cannot be considered a poor showing ($14,000 in 3 days isn't something to laugh at), sales will most likely follow in the pattern of fellow cartoon-turned game Shrek 'N' Roll, which is at $66,000 LTD revenue.
In other news, some games are "missing" from the charts. That is, no, or negative sales were recorded via the methods I use for sales. These charts are based, and compiled off of Mygamercard.net achievement traffic. Since Mircosoft implemented the new tracking systems, some gamers have most likely deleted low-scoring games they have, removing them from the charts. However, numbers were not impacted severly (the most removed game was Mutant Storm Reloaded, with ~175 cards removed). Sales for these games will continue to be tracked.
