Steins;Gate 0 video introduces RINE Trigger system

5pb. has released a new Steins;Gate 0 video introducing the game’s “RINE Trigger” system.

Protagonist Rintarou Okabe has upgraded from his feature phone to a smartphone. Different from sending e-mails, you can now exchange messages via the RINE app in real-time. Your friends’ reactions will change based on your responses. When a new message arrives, you’ll get an indication in the upper left corner of the screen. You’ll be able to enjoy both the main story, as well as ordinary conversations with the game’s characters. And the ability to use lots of stickers, of course.

Steins;Gate 0 will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on December 10.

Himōto! Umaru-chan Game's Short Opening Video Streamed

The official website for Furyu's "himōto-raising simulation" game Himōto! Umaru-chan: Himōto Ikusei Keikaku (The Himōto Raising Project) began streaming a "short version" of the game's opening video on Wednesday.

The video features the song "Fever Natsu Vacation!," performed by the main cast.

Furyu streamed a promotional movie for the game in October. In the game, the player tells Umaru what to do every day to raise her. The game features an original story "that can't be seen anywhere else" with full voicing of in-game events by the anime's cast.

The game's title references Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project and other games in the same genre. It will ship for the PlayStation Vita on December 3. The game will cost 6,480 yen (about US$53) for the regular edition or 9,980 yen (US$82) for the limited edition.

N8osnvH.jpg

The limited edition will include an exclusive booklet with new art by original manga creator Sankaku Head, a drama CD, a bath poster, a product code for an original idol costume, art for four interchangeable package jackets, and a box to hold everything. Those who pre-order the game will receive a product code for another original costume, "swimsuit Santa."

8c6UGjr.jpg

Sankaku Head's original Himōto! Umaru-chan manga centers around Taihei Doma and his little sister Umaru, who boasts beautiful looks as well as prowess in both school and sports. However, she has a certain secret. Everyone may think she is the ideal girl, but she is anything but. "Himōto" is a pun on "imōto" (little sister) and "himono," which means "dried fish," but in slang can refer to a woman who is proper in public but lazy at home.

Digimon World: Next Order introduces “Black Knight” Digimon

Kenji Watanabe, a designer responsible for creating a variety of Digimon, has designed a new Digimon for Digimon World: Next Order called the “Black Knight,” the latest issue of V Jump reveals.

Dubbed the “Enforcer,” the Black Knight is a Digimon similar in appearance to Omnimon Zwart, and is shrouded in mystery.

The magazine also reveals a new character, whose name is currently unknown, who wears a knitted hat and carries a Digi-Egg. The protagonist and friends will meet him on their journey. (He totally looks like the protagonist of Digimon World 1.)

There’s also information on a new system called “EXE-Volution” that lets your two partner Digimon revive and “evolve” through the power of friendship when the Digimon are in a pinch.

Get tthe details below.

Story

This adventure is set in the near future…

Earth’s major cities have been ravaged by giant, terrifying creatures known as Gigants. Across the globe, military forces from every nation attempted to counter the attacks but, to their horror, failed miserably. In a twist of fate, it was reported that a boy named Ichiya Amakaze defeated a Gigant. The boy defeated the Gigants using a mysterious power called the Yorigami. This victory was short-lived, however. Ichiya lost control of his power and tragically destroyed the city he tried so hard to protect. After this fateful experience, he fell unconscious. Ichiya was then detained and sent to a safe location where his fate would soon unfold…

What are the Gigants?!

- Gigants are mysterious, alien life-forms that have invaded Earth. Gigants of various shapes and sizes have been discovered, and they generally take upon forms of beasts from legend. However, unlike those mythical beasts, Gigants do not harbor a brilliant, celestial aura. Whatever aura they do possess is something much more vile…

Key Features

- Guided by Fate! – Play through three different points of view to uncover the mystery behind what’s happened in this world. Players must battle against Gigants and a myriad of other characters.
- Keep Your Eyes Open! – Fight skyscraper-sized bosses in battles with 3-Way views! For special boss battles, each of the characters will utilize their special abilities! Varying from close to long range on the field, strategically plan attacks from each characters’ position!
- Slash Beat Mode! – The rhythm-based battle action system, Slash Beat Mode, allows characters to unleash their hidden power of transformation by offering their body to their Yorigamis. If timed correctly with the rhythm-based commands, the enemy will receive a tremendous amount of damage.
- Evolve Tree System! – Level up your characters’ stats with the Evolve Tree System! Master all three branches of the tree (Physical, Command, Item) to bring your character to new heights!

Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories announced for PS4 [Update]

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals Granzella’s Disaster Report 4 revival to be Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories for PlayStation 4.

Famitsu has a four-page feature on the survival action game revival, including an interview with producer Kazuma Kujo.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories was once scheduled to launch for PlayStation 3 in 2011, but was cancelled in wake of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

A trailer for Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories is due out this Friday, November 27.

Further details have yet to leak.

Thanks, Famitsu.

Update 6:03 a.m.: New details have come in from Famitsu. Disaster Report 4 Plus: Summer Memories‘ release date is listed in the magazine as “pending.”

Get the information below.

The game is set in a certain metropolis. The protagonist has come to the big city in search of a job. The player can choose whether the protagonist is a man or a woman, as well as their goal, at the start of the game. The game depicts a one-week survival story and features the concepts of hunger, expired foods, and even toilets.

Details from interview with Kazuma Kujo:

- The main reason the game was originally cancelled was because they couldn’t get it to come together.
- Over the years since the game was cancelled, time has been devoted to upping the quality of the game system.
- Granzella’s new company Gz Studio is developing the game. It’s made up of staff from the Irem days.
- The “Plus” in the title signifies that the game is being rebuilt. The original version of the game is being used as a base, but everything is being completely revised from zero.
- It’s not that you escape a week after the earthquake, sometimes you go back to the same place two or three days later.
- Situations at the same locations will change as time progresses. (For example, when cranes begin reconstruction.)
- The degree of how the protagonist’s decisions influences post-development has greatly increased.
- If you eat expired foods or don’t use the toilet, it will impact your performance.
- Since it’s being developed for PlayStation 4, Kujo wants to put in an element that lets players feel like they’re connected somehow.
