CryEngine 2 läuft auf Konsolen

05.10.07 - Die CryEngine 2 von Crysis (PC) läuft bereits auf Konsolen. Das bestätigte Cevat Yerli von Crytek im Gespräch mit GameInformer.

Allerdings befindet sich eine Konsolenversion von Crysis nicht in Arbeit. Derzeit will man abwarten, wie Crysis (PC) bei den Fans und Kritikern ankommt. Wenn es in den Tests durchschnittlich 5 Prozent besser abschneidet als Far Cry, denn wäre das ein Argument für eine Konsolenumsetzung.

Da die Engine bereits läuft, sieht Yerli keinen Grund, weshalb man das Spiel dann nicht umsetzen könnte.

ich glaube die wollen die tester damit erpressen... enwtweder das sie es besser bewerten um auch eine konsolen umsetzung zu ermöglichen oder umgekehrt...
finds lächerlich sowas von der bewertung abhängig zu machen

Das ist doch schon längst bekannt, meine ich. Crytech macht mom nen X360 Game ;)

Das haben die nicht gesagt, sie sagten nur, dass man mit der Ps3 mom experimentiere, mehr aber auch nicht und von nem Projekt war auch nicht die Rede. Ausserdem war damit auch nicht die CryEngine 2 gemeint.

Mom ist nur ein X360 Game offiziell. Ob das Game die CE2 nutzt, weiss man nicht.

nö, von der möglichkeit macht kaum ein entwickler gebrauch. normalerweise auch kein prob, aber bei heavenly sword hätt ich mich schon drüber gefreut(das hat recht lange ladezeiten, vor allem, wenn man bei einem bosskampf scheitert, kann das nerven) :neutral:
 
Naja, es wird wohl kommen, wenn Crysis hinter den Erwartungen zurück bleibt, Verkaufszahlentechnisch. Hm, nunja, ich brauch das Spiel nicht wirklich, hab schon damals Far Cry mal gar nicht gemocht.

Edit: Ist nicht EA Publisher? Wenn die da ihre Finger im Spiel haben, dann wird eine Konsolenversion sicher kommen, jetzt da anscheinend die Engine auch keine Probleme macht.

hmm...HS wird doch beim erstmaligen starten auf die festplatte installiert. ich weiß noch wie mich das genervt hat. das hat ca. 3 minuten gedauert.
diente das nicht dazu die ladezeiten zu verkürzen??

More fuel to the Crytek/PS3 rumor fire

After speaking with members of the Crytek team at today's GDC expo, it seems that the previously unconfirmed rumours of Crytek working on a PS3 "project" have some weight.

There is no concrete information guys, so calm down; however, when asked if they were working on any PS3 projects, the jovial German smiled knowingly and said "I really wish I could tell you more right now", with his colleague adding "We are always working on lots of different things".

These reactions are given depth by the news last July that Crytek was looking to hire a number of PS3 developers.

Whether bringing the much coveted PC title Crysis over to the PS3, or licensing the engine out to other PS3 development studios, the prospects are exciting - so let's hope there is more than a little truth to these rumours.

We'll keep you updated with more on this story, and any others that emerge from the GDC ground floor, as it comes.

EGM Rumors: Parasite Eve, Konami PS3 Exclusive

You know you love 'em. With an absolutely giant fall and winter on tap for the game industry, the rumors are flying through the air like Christmas fruitcakes in December. The latest batch was delivered courtesy of Electronic Gaming Monthly, so check out all the newest reports...and bear in mind, none of these are officially confirmed, but they're still awfully fun to read and contemplate.


First up, Parasite Eve fans were surprised and disappointed to learn that the long-awaited third installment would only be going to mobile phones. But fear not, Square-Enix is apparently working on a brand new, fully-realized Parasite Eve, although we have no idea which platforms will be included.

Secondly, Epic Games and Sony have resolved their differences regarding the Unreal Tournament 3 license (UT 3 is actually a timed exclusive for the PS3 and PC, coming later to the Xbox 360), and they might be collaborating on a PS3 exclusive title.


Thirdly, while Hideo Kojima remains hard at work finishing up Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, he's also working on another PS3 exclusive. No word on what it might be, but evidently, it's certainly not Zone of the Enders 3. And lastly, a rumor that has already been debunked: you've probably heard about it by now; that Sony is planning to release a Wii-like controller for the PS2 before Christmas. The idea seemed a bit strange in the first place, though, and Sony was quick to shoot it down.


Sony sent Game|Life a response that was quick and clear:


"This rumor is absolutely not true. There are currently no plans to add motion-sensing capability to the PlayStation 2 controller."


Well, anyway, the other rumors are still a go, as far as we know. We'll be looking into that that third Parasite Eve as well as the supposed PS3 exclusive being worked on by Kojima and Co. As for Epic and Sony getting all buddy-buddy...we'll believe it when we see it.

Ich hoffe das mit Parasite Eve stimmt wirklich. Ne NextGen Version wäre echt der hammer.

Die EGM hat schon mal in den Gerüchtet berichtet, dass Kojima, neben MGS4, an einem neuen PS3 Only Game arbeiten soll (und damals hieß auch schon, dass es NICHT ZoE3 sein soll).

Kojima!!! :aargh: Hoffentlich stimmts... immer her mit den Spielen. :D

ZoE mag ich aber eh nich besonders, darum is mir n neues Spiel gerade recht.
 
Man könnte es vielleicht auch als verzweifelte Suche bezeichnen sowas ist halt immer Auslegungssache. :p
