Battle.net Subscription Fees Explained

If you recall, we know that Russia, South America and Korea will have a different billing structure than the "West" (meaning America, Europe and South-east Asia, in essence). Talk of monthly or even daily or hourly fees have been mentioned, and fans are understandably confused. Western fans are also afraid there might be some sort of monthly fees for us as well, or undue fees to change names on your account etc.

Benzenn, a WoW-CM in the US (but they all seem to cross-moderate nowadays anyway) has explained things further, and whatever questions he leaves, we will sort out - after the break.


First off, make sure to read the aforementioned articles to know a little of what's going on. In short, all these three regions share one denominator: The game will be available at a low price to fit the local's pockets, but will come with limited Battle.net access. Limited in terms of time (and sometimes region), and after the limit, a monthly fee applies, and/or they can buy an unlimited version upgrade. Whether or not people will be able to play single player after the time runs out (and not paying monthly fees) is not decided. The cost of the game + unlimited version upgrade is basically the same as buying the regular box in the West. Having explained that, let's head over to Benzenn. Ich rechne erst 2 Wochen vor Release mit der 2. Betaphase. Wäre schön früher aber so hab ich Zeit Starcraft 1 durchuspielen und muss nicht SC 2 MP üben^^

Patchserver sind wieder online, neuer Patch, scheinbar.. sind Ultras rausgeflogen und dafür Lurker wieder drin (3 wochen vor release loel), server noch off, aber werden wohl noch on kommen heute/nacht.

Hab zwar kaum Zeit auch noch SC 2 zu zocken aber passt freu mich^^ Ultralisken raus? Warum das. Naja hab nie Zerg gespielt.

ne sind noch drinne, haben irgendwelche leute gedacht wegen patchfiles.. lurker sind jetzt zwar drin.. aber werden auch ned im patchnote aufgeführt.. also wohl nur die modelle drin.

Rally points now behave as a move command, instead of an attack move command.
Enabled the ability to manually add a StarCraft II character friend using the player's character code. Character code is a server-assigned numerical code that is displayed within the Add Friend panel.
Battle.net Achievements & Rewards have been updated.
All Quick Match modes are now available: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and Free For All.
All A.I. difficulties are now available for play.
Cooperative matchmaking versus A.I. players is now available as a play mode.
Enabled cross-game social features between World of Warcraft and StarCraft II.
Balance Changes

ZERG
Infestor
Frenzy spell removed.
Infested Terran spell added.
Overseer
Infested Terran spell removed.
Ultralisk
Now immune to stuns and mind control.

Just a quick update on beta for you. We are still in the process of applying the patch to European servers and anticipate that beta phase two will be available late tonight (by the end of the day US time). We'll provide another update if anything changes.
