With all the Revolution hype building to a boiling point in the last few days, MTV contacted me about an article they were writing on the interest and mysteries surrounding the controller.
Stephen from MTV called and we chatted about the Revolution Controller Mockup Page and the speculation regarding the controller. Im glad to see that MTV took the time to do its research, even if we are talking about totally fabricated renditions of something we still know nothing about.
Nick Luckett, who blogs at 4ColorRebellion.com, said he started seeing mock-ups a year ago. He spotted about one a month, but when they started appearing daily, he decided to make a compendium, which he has since packed with almost 100 of the most work-safe designs (check them out at 4colorrebellion.com/revolution-controller-mockups). The page’s popularity nearly exhausted Luckett’s bandwidth, attracting, he claims, as many as 20,000 unique users per day.
Soon enough we will know what the secret of the Revolution is. But until then, take a look back through all the crazy creative mockups and take one final stab at guessing the baffling mystery of the controller. It certainly has been fun seeing all of these mockups and the cool ideas that the fans have expressed. It just goes to show that people are seriously interested in Nintendo and what its plans for the future are.
