Info from the new Nintendo Power
April 25th, 2006
Fahid from CodenameRevolution was nice enough to let us know that he had a ton of info from the latest Nintendo Power issue. Have a look at all the details below!
UPDATE 1: The Tony Hawk Revolution IS CONFIRMED. (It was on a single page instead of the two page preview, our apologies). It is Activisions first title for the coming Revolution. Title is called Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam. Screenshot is only concept art.
UPDATE 2: Bob Ross Revolution game is pretty much confirmed by Nintendo Power.
UPDATE 3: A picture is shown of the fan who stood out at GDC with the Iwata drops Bomb sign, Nintendo Power comments with A Nintendo superfan displays his excitement at GDC. Hell have to wait until E3 for the real bomb to drop.
UPDATE 4: SpongeBob Squarepants confirmed and its entitled SpongeBob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab Screenshots are shown however they are for the Gamecube Version only.
UPDATE 5: An SNES vs. SEGA skit debate was done. Its interesting but was there to give an idea to fans how the console wars was back then. Many games were mentioned such as Revenge of Shinobi or A Link to the Past. I expect many of these games mentioned to be on Revolutions Virtual Console.
UPDATE 6: IGA, producer of the Castlevania series was asked about doing a Castlevania title for Revolution, the following was his response: I cant say that Im working on Revolution. Im really busy with the DS game right now. I really like the controller, thought, so if time allows and if Revolution is well-received, then I would love to work on it.
UPDATE 7: Nintendo Power interviews Yoot Saito, creator of Odama and asked about Revolution and how he might use the Revolution controller, the following is his response: Oh, yes, I have many things to say about this. But I just cant comment right now. You know: confidentiality agreements and all. But wait for my next title. I swear that Ill create something that youre going to like. And I look forward to sitting down with you to discuss it at length when the time comes!
UPDATE 8: A Kid Icarus NES review was given. Regarding the games future all it mentions is Until Pit makes his triumphant return one day, Kid Icarus will live on in the hearts of old-school gamers, who may, at least, revisit Angel Land of Revolutions virtual console.
UPDATE 9: A really small section in the Review area has a question for NP Reviewers about what they are looking forward to seeing at E3, the following are Revolution related responses:
Chris Hoffman: Last year, Mr. Miyamoto announced he was working on a brand-new property for Revolution. Hopefully itll be at this years show. I also hope that Capcom debuts its Phoenix Write sequel.
Steven Grimm: I cant wait to indulge in all things Revolution, but Im really hoping to see the Donkey Kong concept thats in the works. Nintedo tapped DK for the brilliant jungle Beat; what might DK do next?
Andy Myers: At DICE, we heard Miyamoto mention another secret regarding the Revolution controller. More than seeing the new Mario or Smash Bros. games, I want to know what that secret is.
Steve Thomason: I want to get my hands on Mario for Revolution more than anhything else.
UPDATE 10: Next Month (July Issue) Preview: With the DS hitting its stride and the Revolution on its way, Nintendo is making alot of noise. Watch for big news on both. The first preview is Revolution Evolution and states the following: The next console is taking shape. Well have feature coverage on Revolution titles, and early announcements from E3. Also an interview with Reggie Fils-Aime will be available. A picture of the Revolution controller is also shown. The cover will have Zelda DS.
UPDATE 11: In the Dont-Miss Calendar section it states Though May doesnt have a ton of games in store, itll still be a megaton month: the New Super Mario Bros. game shakes up the present while E3 shakes up the future.
UPDATE 12: Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam details for Revolution: The game is an exclusive for Nintendo Revolution and DS. It states By using the Revolution controllers motion-sensitivity, racers will be able to turn and boost without touching a button. The game will also feature button combinations to pull off tricks that recall the controls for the Tony Hawks Pro Skater and Tony Hawks Underground titles A full feature with screenshots and more details will be available in the July Issue. The game is developed by Toy for Bob and published by Activision. Four Player Split-Screen multiplayer feature. Eight new racers. Eight huge environments are real-world locations (includes Machu Picchu in the Andes and the hills of San Francisco). Boost Meter in game, thrust the controller forward for boost.

man sprach nämlich von einem drittel der starttitel bei nintendo!
und da es 20 titel sind kommen wir auf 6 2/3 titel von nintendo...
also können wir mit 6 oder 7 nintendotiteln rechnen!
