Xbox360 Microsoft @ E3 2011

"Kinect Me" and "Kinect Fun Lab" Revealed at E3?

Some new names have popped up on Brazil and Australia's Classifications Boards -- Kinect Me, Fusion Genesis and Crimson Alliance. The latter two are Xbox Live Arcade games, with Crimson Alliance being developed by Age of Booty developer Certain Affinity. There was also further confirmation of Hole In The Wall and Fruit Ninja Kinect, both also Xbox Live Arcade titles.
There is no indication as to what Kinect Me is, though it could be related to the rumor that Microsoft will announce the ability for Kinect to create an in-game character based on a body scan. It's unclear whether this means auto-creation of an Xbox Live Avatar or a more realistic model of the players actual body.

A source at Siliconera also claims that 'Kinect Fun Lab' will be a Microsoft E3 reveal. Again, we don't know what it is, whether that's its final title or if it relates to Kinect Me. At a guess, it could be a bunch of fun tools packaged as a Live Arcade title including the painting software which we haven't seen since Kinect's unveiling as Project Natal in 2009.

Not long to wait now until all becomes clear. Microsoft open this years E3 with their conference on June 6th at 9:30am PST.

Microsoft's E3 briefing will air on Spike, Facebook and in HD VOD on Xbox Live

A few years ago we were happy just to get a few trailers in high definition from the E3 videogames conference on our Xbox 360s, but this year Microsoft and Spike TV have teamed up to bring the company's entire briefing in HD (via video on-demand) to the console. It will air live on Spike TV June 6th at 12:30 p.m. ET, with streams also available on GameTrailers.com (in high definition), Facebook, MTV.com, Spike.com and Xbox.com as well as being broadcast in Times Square. You can bet we'll be back to liveblog the proceedings yet again but if you want to get your own eyeful of Xbox 360: The Future Revealed (hint: Gears of War 3, Forza Motorsport 4 and Kinect) there will be plenty of ways to do it.

Full stereoscopic 3D hitting Xbox 360

Full stereoscopic 3D is set to hit the Xbox 360, Eurogamer can reveal.
This stereo 3D support works exactly like the PlayStation 3's 3D effect. In other words, full-on HDMI 1.4 stereoscopic 3D in the 1280x1470 twin 720p framebuffer configuration.
This would mean a 720p image per eye.
When asked for information on this planned improvement, a source familiar with Xbox 360 development hinted at an E3 announcement.
"They'd be mad not to do it, is all I can say," said our source. "The machine is not only very capable, it's more capable than the PlayStation 3 of doing stereo, assuming you don't have one of the old crappy ones with the composite leads... assuming you have a HDMI Xbox.
"The bottleneck is more on the graphical throughput for rendering out in stereo."
So, when will Microsoft announce full stereo 3D support for the Xbox 360?
"E3 is coming up," is all our source would offer. "Microsoft is going to have to go on stage to say something, aren't they?"
Stereoscopic 3D gaming is one of the PlayStation 3's most-touted features.
It was unlocked on the machine in June last year with a firmware update, making it the only console on the market with support for full stereoscopic 3D gaming.
A number of PS3 games run in 3D, including Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 3.
A handful of Xbox 360 games have launched under the "stereoscopic 3D" banner, including Crytek's Crysis 2 and Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops.
But they all render using 3D techniques based on the principle of two distinct images crammed into one 720p framebuffer.
"We're a fully 3D-capable console today. We support 3D games that are in the market today," Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg told VG247 last year.
"The capability is there. The question is whether or not the consumer demand is there. That's the unanswered question. We're not a consumer electronics company that's trying to sell 3DTVs, so we have the benefit of waiting until the market responds. We're going to take probably more of a pull than a push approach."
Microsoft told Eurogamer this afternoon that it "does not comment on rumour or speculation".

Was dann kommt?

My pass for Microsoft's E3 press conference just arrived, and it's the first multiple choice badge I've received for any event.

The Mad Libs-style pass comes with blank spaces for various things including: "Status," "Favorite hero," "Accessory of choice," "Master of," "Motto," and "Today's Perk." The accompanying stickers allow for attendees to personalize their passes, with references to Gears of War, Tomb Raider, Batman, and the Star Wars Kinect game announced at last E3.

Most interesting, however, is the inclusion of multiple stickers that reference Microsoft's blockbuster Halo franchise. While nothing has been announced at this time, it's been rumored the publisher may be ready to reveal its next big title in the Halo universe. We've been hearing everything from an HD remake of 2001's Halo: Combat Evolved, to a game that fully utilizes Microsoft's hands-free Kinect.

While a simple "choose your own adventure" sticker badge isn't confirmation, it's certainly opening the floor for some good old fashioned speculation. Microsoft's conference kicks off E3, taking place on the morning of Monday, June 6. If I can figure out what my perk is that day, we'll be there.

Na hoffentlich gibs ne Halo ankündigung :)
