With The Kings Bird the team intend for the player to experience “the beauty of flight and the power of the wind”. Described as a precision-platformer like no other, with gameplay akin to parkour with the extra ability to glide through the air, create wind bursts, and ultimately achieve flight alongside flocks of rare and beautiful birds. The game is now getting out of its pre-production stage, and an early build will be shown at PAX South 2015 and GDC 2015.

- A strong focus on the beauty of movement and nature.
- A world populated by mystical birds. A dictatorial king who isolated his kingdom for mysterious reasons. A young girl who simply longs for freedom.

In an interview, the developers list the Wii U as one of the destination platforms for the game. The developers website currently lists consoles as “console releases TBA”. If Serenity Forge are indeed bringing this game to the Wii U, it will find a welcome home on the eShop. It would also be interesting to see if the developer decides to bring more of their games to the Wii U eShop, all of which look fantastic.
