Grand Theft Auto 4

Was war nochmal genau der Zweck von dem Ding? :uglylol:

gute Frage - habe keine Ahnung ob der Multiplayer über diesen Club oder über Windows Life läuft - auf jedenfall kann man jederzeit speichern, wenn man das Teil aktiviert hat (wenn man das Teil nicht aktiviert hat, ist das speichern so wie bei jedem GTA -> also nur im Unterschlupf möglich)

auf jedenfall besteht Rockstar auf diesen dämlichen Club, der mehr Fehler produziert als alles andere ^^'

Das wichtigste mal gequotet:

Nach dem Einlegen der ersten DVD verlangt Rockstar zunächst die Installation des sogenannten Rockstar Social Clubs, der angeblich nötig für Mehrspielerduelle sei....
Die Krönung ist, dass sich die Software ungefragt in den Autostartordner von Windows einschreibt und ihr künftig bei jedem Systemstart zum Einloggen in den Social Club aufgefordert werdet.

Befindet sich Windows Live noch nicht auf eurem System, wird die entsprechende Software sofort ebenso ungefragt gleich mitinstalliert, allerdings in einer veralteten Version.

Auf Windows Live könnt ihr ebenfalls nicht verzichten, denn ohne Anmeldung bei Microsofts „Spieleservice“ könnt ihr im Spiel den Fortschritt nicht speichern, auch nicht im Solomodus!!!

Alles in allem seid ihr gut eine Stunde mit der Installation von „GTA IV“ beschäftigt, so dass wir uns eigentlich schon für diese Questerfüllung eine Belohnung oder ein Achievment im Spiel gewünscht hätten.

Unserer Meinung ist die ganze Problematik sogar schlimmer als bei Bugmonstern wie „Anstoss 3“ oder „Gothic 3“ plus des kürzlich erschienenen Addons, die bei uns wenigstens halbwegs spielbar waren.

In den vielen Jahren meiner Spielebegeisterung ist mir noch kein Titel untergekommen, den ich wirklich gar nicht zum Starten bewegen konnte und der mir ungefragt derart unnütze Programme gleich mitinstalliert, die meine Windows-Registry und den Autostartordner vollmüllen.

Das nächste GTA kann sich Rockstar für den PC gleich ganz sparen, so wie sie es sich bei der (ehemaligen) Fan-Gemeinde versaut haben...

Die bisherigen PC-Fassungen waren ja echt gut, finde ich. Und immer den Konsolenparts überlegen.

Aber bei GTA4 hat Rockstar wirklich einfach nur Dreck gebaut, finde ich.
Ich habe keine Ahnung, was sie geritten hat... aber ich weiß, was ihnen widerfahren wird:

Schlechte Abverkäufe der PC-Fassung.

Denn seien wir mal ehrlich:
Solche Maßnahmen, wie GTA4 sie verlangt, schreien geradezu nach Cracks, selbst, wenn man es legal gekauft hat.

Bei der 360 legst du das Spiel ein, es startet und los geht's.
Aber hier...?

In einem Monat wird das Spiel etwa ohne Probleme spielbar sein, denke ich... wenn nicht gar später.

und bringt einem eh nichts, wenn das game unverständlicherweise nur etwa jedes zehnte mal startet, die anderen male wird einfach mit CRITICAL ERROR:APPLICATION CRASH avgebrochen.:P

Radeon HD4850, das seltsame ist, das das spiel eigentlich gut läuft, nur ich kriegs halt nicht zum starte. xD

hättest du eine Nvidia Grafikkarte, dann gäbe es dazu schon eine Lösung, so musst du auf den Patch warten (der ist laut Rockstar fertig und muss jetzt dank Windows Live von MS nur freigegeben werden)
 
Angeblich soll der erste Patch schon erschienen sein, der mehr Fehler mit sich bringt. :-/ Vielleicht löst ja der zweite Patch die Probleme vom ersten. :ugly:

Bei mir lief das Spiel ohne Patch relativ Problemlos (vielleicht bei jedem 5-6ten Start hats nich gestartet, macht mans halt nochmal an) - nach dem Patch hab ich nen Soundbug - der taucht vollkommen random auf und irgendwelche Sounds loopen sich dann zu tote - alle restlichen Soundeffekte fallen weg und macht das Spiel damit ungenießbar (und kein Neustart, Treiberaktualisieren oder irgendwas anderes bringt da was). Ich konnte vor dem Patch die ganzen Nörgler wegen Bugs nich so recht verstehen, da das Spiel auch relativ gut lief bei mir, aber das man mit einem Patch noch mehr Probleme schafft is ja unter aller Kanone, man könnte glatt meinen es handele sich hier im Jowood.
Spiel ich eben ohne Patch und kann keinen MP nutzen und muss dennoch diesen Social Club und Live Schwachsinn ertragen - schei* Rock* Toronto - die habens echt net drauf.
 
Was Rockstar Toronto hier abgeliefert hat verdient nur eine Bezeichnung: Katastrophe.
Ich bin ja eigentlich immer bereit gewisse Dinge zu verstehen und zu verzeihen, aber bei GTA 4 platzt mir der Kragen. Das fängt mit dem ATI-Bug an, geht über schwachsinnige Entscheidungen wie Social Club, GFWL und DRM hinweg, bis zur absolut schlechten (wenn man überhaupt sagen kann dass eine gemacht wurde..) Anpassung/Optimierung/Performance. Lahme Vierkerner schneiden bei den Benchmarks von PCGames besser ab als schnelle Dualcores - WTF? Und warum wohl? Weil die Konsolen eben lahme Prozessoren haben, dafür mehrere, especially Xbox 360..

Hier sind einfach viel zu viele Sachen schief gegangen und so gerne ich GTA 4 auf einem High End PC wie meinem (E8500, 4 GB RAM, GTX280) genießen will, Rockstar Toronto hat es einfach verschi**en. Da hole ich mir viel lieber Saints Row 2, was ja bald für den PC kommen sollte...

GTA4 läuft auf hohen Einstellungen tatsächlich besser als auf mittleren Einstellungen :lol:

(aber afaik gab es schonmal irgendein Spiel, bei dem das so ähnlich war)


ansonsten läuft es bei mir ohne Abstürze und da es leider (noch) keine AA Einstellungen gibt spiele ich auf 1920er Auflösung (aber sonst etwas über Konsolendetails sprich: alles im 30er Bereich, aber vielleicht stelle ich da nochwas runter) und deshalb ruckelt es gerne bzw ich habe nur ~27 Frames (in Häusern um die 35-37 und in der Stadt 26, wobei es hiin und wieder kurze einbrüche auf 19 frames gibt, laut fraps) - die X-Box Version läuft afaik mit 30 Frames (und ist zwischendurch gerne hin und wieder mal eingebrochen, das kann ich bestätigen)


ich könnte zwar auch in 1400er Auflösung spielen, da geht es nie unter 26 Frames, aber dann sieht das Kantenflimmern so hässlich aus, aber wenn man endlich AA einschalten bzw erzwingen kann, dann werde ich aber wohl auch gerne mit Freude in 1280er Auflösung + AA spielen, dürfte um einiges besser aussehen


aber was mich momentan wirklich stört sind nicht die Frames, sondern unnötige Designfehler: wenn ich ein Spiel laden will, dann muss ich erst das normale Spiel starten und kann dann erst im Menü das Spiel gewünschte Spiel laden und die Videos am Anfang, kann man natürlich auch nicht abbrechen - das nervt mit der Zeit


ansonsten hatte ich auch keine Probleme mit dem Rockstarclub oder Windows Live (habe ja schon vorher ein Windows Live Account gehabt) - nur das Gamepadproblem, das vorher angesprochen wurde habe ich, aber da mein Gamepad eh nicht unterstützt wird (bei allen anderen Windows Live Titeln geht das -_-) ist das auch egal, da kann ich es gleich abklemmen


aber ansonsten ist GTA4 ein recht nettes Spiel, besonders die liebe zum Detail (damit meine ich nicht hin und wieder eine Matschtextur, das Kantenflimmern oder dank Konsolen-Version die hässlichen Schatten, sondern eher das internet, diverse kleine Gags, die in der Spielwelt verteilt sind, die tollen (Anschuss-) Animationen und Minispiele etc. ^^)

und in spätestens einem Jahr kann man das Spiel auch auf 100% schrauben :ugly:
(meiner Meinung nach hat Rockstar einen Fehler gemacht, indem sie die Option auf 100% angeboten haben, Bethesda macht das geschickter, da kann man das in den inis Einstellen und dann jammert auch niemand, wenn das Spiel nicht läuft - die hätten bei der PC Version die Konsoleneinstellungen als 100% Marke setzen sollen, jede wette dass das Geschrei dann nicht ganz so groß gewesen wäre (abgesehen vom ATI Problem zu beginn versteht sich :ugly:)?)

Ist es eigentlich normal das die Schatten so potthäslich aussehen (keine solide Struktur sondern eher ein Haufen von schwarzen Punkten mit vieeeelen "Licht-Lücken" dazwischen -sieht echt häßlich aus) ?
...ich hab irgendwie noch keine Möglichkeit gefuden die auf normal zu stellen.

ist bei der Konsolenversion afaik auch so, die Schatten sind so programmiert, leider (aber dafür sieht das Spiel bei Nacht richtig toll aus, wenn sich die ganzen Licher, Häuser etc. auf dem Wasser spiegeln ^^), naja, ich habe mich mit der Zeit dran gewöhnt

Was ?! Das soll also wohl gewollt sein ? :shakehead3: Ugh... was hat R* den da geritten ? Imo sieht das echt scheiße aus. Wieso nicht einfach ne solide Schwarz-Schattierung benutzen ? -das ist doch bekloppt. :( .

...ach was reg ich mich auf -ich vertick das Game wohl sowieso wieder, da es auf meinem System das bisher noch alle Multiplatformgames deutlich besser hat darstellen können als die korrespondierenden Konsolenversionen (FarCry2, COD, etc...) lahm wie Sau ist und sich Niko mit Tastatur+Maus nur wie ein betrunkener Elefant steuern lässt (und das Autofahren ist auch nicht besser).
Die riesen Stadt ist zwar ziemlich toll in Szene gesetzt, aber irgendwie versaut mir die miese Portierung grad so ziemlich jeden Spielspaß.
