Scheint ohnehin unnötig. Es gab im Vorfeld so viel Hype, aber inzwischen scheint sich kein Aas mehr groß für Killzone zu interessieren. Und die Charts hat's wohl auch nicht in Brand gesetzt...

da kommt schon noch genug.
lass erstmal ms über ihr lineup für 2009 reden.
was seit ihr eigentlich alle so ungeduldig?
oder glaubt ihr ernsthaft das ms ausser halo: odst keinen einzigen exklusiv-titel für das weihnachtsgeschäft 2009 haben wird?
so naiv kann man doch nicht sein.
 
Ich denk mir eher MS wird mehr und allgemein auf die Gesamtplattform Xbox360 und PC setzen. Und da kommt ja dieses Jahr mehr als genug. Mir reicht schon Mass Effect 2 welches hoffentlich dieses Jahr kommen wird.

Im Endeffekt geht es MS ja auch nur um grösstmöglichen Profit zu machen und diesen machen sie ja auch am PC.

Jep, es ist schon wieder so still geworden - hätte ich nicht gewusst, dass es erst noch erscheint, ich hätte gedacht, es wär schon erschienen und alle hätten es durch und wieder weggelegt und vergessen.
 
Sony CEO Stringer Will Replace Chubachi as President

Sony Corp. Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Howard Stringer will replace Ryoji Chubachi as president, tightening his control over the maker of the PlayStation 3 and Bravia televisions as it faces a record loss.

Stringer, 67, will also take over the running of the main electronics business from Chubachi from April 1 while retaining his existing roles, Tokyo-based Sony said today. Chubachi, who joined Sony in 1977, will become vice chairman in charge of product safety, quality and environmental issues.

Chubachi’s removal from the mainstay operation gives Stringer more leeway to reorganize Sony as the global recession erodes sales. Sony is cutting 16,000 workers, including 8,000 from the electronics division, and is forecasting a record full- year operating loss of 260 billion yen ($2.7 billion).

“The Japanese can’t take decisive actions toward their comrades during hardship,” said Yuuki Sakurai, general manager of financial and investment planning at Tokyo-based Fukoku Mutual Life Insurance Co., which manages $54 billion in assets. “As a non-Japanese without such loyalties, Stringer is better positioned to conduct the large-scale restructuring that Sony has to do.”

Sony rose 2 percent to close at 1,668 yen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange before the company’s announcement, while the Nikkei 225 Stock Average climbed 1.5 percent. The stock fell 69 percent in 2008, after rising for four straight years.

Non-Japanese Head

Stringer, a Welsh-born U.S. citizen, became the first non- Japanese to head Sony when he replaced Nobuyuki Idei in June 2005. Before joining the electronics maker in May 1997, Stringer was president of CBS Inc., where he stayed for 30 years, and chief executive officer of media and technology company TELE-TV.

Chubachi, 61, spent much of his 32-year career at Sony working in the recording media business and was instrumental in the development of the 8-millimeter video camera, according to Sony’s Web site. He became president in June 2005.

“Chubachi personifies Sony’s enthusiasm for hardware, while Stringer represents its software focus,” Fukoku Mutual’s Sakurai said. “The company has now concluded it can’t focus on both.”

Sony said it will combine its VAIO personal-computer, Walkman and PlayStation businesses in the Networked Products & Services Group to focus on creating gadgets that can work with each other and connect to the Internet. Kazuo Hirai, who’s in charge of the game business, will head the new division.

The Bravia liquid-crystal-display televisions, Cyber-shot digital-camera, and audio and video operations will come under the New Consumer Products Group. Hiroshi Yoshioka, who now heads the TV unit, will take charge of the division, Sony said.

Software, Technology

The electronics maker said it will also create a software and technology team and a manufacturing and procurement team across divisions to bolster connectivity of products and services and save costs.

“Sony has gone into emergency mode,” said Naoki Fujiwara, chief fund manager in Tokyo at Shinkin Asset Management Co., which oversees about $6.1 billion. “They know they have no time to waste and have to push even harder on their accelerator to speed up restructuring.”

Eidos six-month financials show dramatic cut in losses

Eidos showed heartening results for the six months ending December today, with revenues increased 26 percent and losses dramatically reduced compared to the previous period.

Sales were up to £80.3 million for the half-year period, compared to £63.4 million the previous year

Losses fell from £81.4 million in 2007 to just £1 million in 2008.

“The first six months of trading this year were characterised by an incredibly competitive and increasingly challenging retail environment,” said Eidos boss, Phil Rogers.

“The changes made at Eidos over the past year, coupled with the continued hard work and determination of our employees and external partners, means we are well placed one year into our three-year strategic plan to produce higher-quality, must-have games to entertain our consumer.”

jo nur darf man hier nicht vergessen, dass MS ihre XBL Gold Abos da auch mit zurechnet^^
