Resurrection F Costume DLC Details

A few weeks ago, it was announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC Pack 3 would have Golden Frieza as a playable character and Jaco the Galactic Patrolman as a master. While no news has been announced on whether the new the new version of Goku and Vegeta will be making their way to the game through DLC, it’s been confirmed their costumes will!

The new 2015 movie, Dragon Xenoverse: Resurrection F (Fukkatsu no F), is officially opening in Japan this Saturday, April 18. Fans who see the movie will be able to obtain Goku and Vegeta’s costumes for their created character through DLC codes that will be handed out as bonuses. The new patch, version 1.06, that was just recently released, was so players could play against those who had the DLC costumes without experiencing a crash.

Now, how can those who don’t live in Japan get the costumes? We’d venture to guess they will be available in DLC Pack 3, however, at this point in time that hasn’t been announced. Saiyan Island will, of course, keep you up-to-date with details once they are available. Alternatively, if you have knowledge in PS3 data manipulation, then you can be like the smart and slick SergioM3 and equip the costumes now! PlayStation and Xbox owners have the data already, it’s just locked! Most of us don’t have the knowledge to manipulate data on video game consoles, so for now all we can do is enjoy the video below until Bandai Namco Entertainment allows us to officially obtain them.

Vegeta’s costume is called the “Whis Symbol Battle Suit”, while Goku’s costume is called “Whis Symbol Gi”. Both are comprised of upper body, lower body, hand, and feet equipment. Spoilers, the costumes are called “Whis Symbol” because it is Whis who provides the insignia on the upper body of the costume in the movie. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku’s hair will also be available for created characters.

The latest issue of V-Jump Magazine has revealed more information for Dragon Ball Xenoverse‘s upcoming Resurrection of F Pack, which is the last pack to be included in the game’s season pass. In addition to Frieza’s Golden Form, this pack will add both Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku & Vegeta as playable characters as well.

In addition to Xenoverse, Goku in his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form will be joining the Japanese arcade-exclusive Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale. His moveset will consist of powerful attacks like his Dragon Burst and Burst Kamehameha.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse‘s Resurrection of F Pack will be releasing in Japan sometime this April for all platforms. Check out the scan below:

SSGSS Goku / Vegeta to DLC Pack 3, New Skills List

It’s Jump magazine official! Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (SSGSS) Goku and Vegeta have been confirmed as playable characters for those who purchase DLC Pack 3 or own the season pass for Dragon Ball Xenoverse! They join the previously confirmed Golden Frieza in the pack along with a host of other new content.

It’s worth noting this news is for the JAPANESE version of DLC Pack 3. Bandai Namco America and Europe announced several weeks ago, Jaco the Patrolman would also be included as a playable character along with clothing/accessories for the Turtle Hermit. These were both DLC pre-order bonuses for Japanese players. Also, Goku and Vegeta’s costumes from the movie are special bonuses outside of DLC Pack 3 in Japan. No word has been mentioned on how those can be obtained for American and European players either at this time.

Additionally, a release date has not yet been announced for Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC Pack 3 in Japan, America, or Europe so Saiyan Island hopes share the news with you as soon as Bandai Namco Entertainment announces it.

Now, as for what the Japanese version of DLC Pack 3 contains, it is as follows:

3 New Playable Characters: SSGSS Goku, SSGSS Vegeta, Golden Frieza
2 New Masters: Jaco the Patrolman and Elder Kai
5 new quests
13 new skills
1 new outfit: Gohan’s green tracksuit
1 new accessory: Resurrection ‘F’ villian Tagoma’s scouter
7 new Z-Souls

Along with news of DLC Pack 3 comes information on the skills of the three new playable characters thanks to the great SergioM3! This information comes from the hidden data of a recent Dragon Ball Xenoverse patch. Saiyan Island considers this rumor since these list of skills are not confirmed by an official source such as Bandai Namco or Jump magazine, however, as far as we know, SergioM3 has been on point so you can consider these as good as in, until proven otherwise!

Assuming true, there are 9 new skills between the three playable characters. Now, we don’t know if these 9 will be part of the new 13 skills for our created character, although, they certainly could be. Saiyan Island’s guess is 4 of those 13 will definitely be by the new Master Jaco – Elite Shooting, Elite Beam, Hero Pose, and Super Elite Combo (you can see them in the video here) – but again that’s just our guess. Of course we hope to let you know as soon as DLC Pack 3 is released or if the skills are officially announced!

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku

SSGSS Goku will have four super attacks, two ultimate attacks, an evasive skill, and a z-soul. The super attacks that he will have are Super God Shock Flash, Burst Kamehameha, Super God Fist, and Maximum Charge. The ultimate attacks he will have are Super Kamehameha and Warp Kamehameha. His evasive skill will be Spirit Explosion and Z-Soul will be “The futon Flew…and so can you”. Five of those are old skills currently equipped to different variations of Vegeta, while the three new are as follows:

Super God Shock Flash – Super Attack – An effective move against strike attacks. Stab your opponent then blast them away.

Burst Kamehameha – Super Attack – Press the button again while the Ki wave is connecting to do additional damage. You’ll need ki for the extra attack.

Warp Kamehameha – Ultimate Attack – Appear in front of your opponent with Instant Transmission and attack with a super powerful Kamehameha!

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta

SSGSS Vegeta will have four super attacks, two ultimate attacks, an evasive skill, and a z-soul. The super attacks that he will have are Counter Burst, Final Blow, Big Bang Attack, Maximum Charge. The ultimate attacks he will have are Final Flash and Super Galick Gun. His evasive skill will be Explosive Wave and Z-Soul will be “I’m the strongest on Earth”. Five of those are old skills currently equipped to different variations of Goku, while the three new are as follows:

Final Blow – Super Attack – Charge forward faster than the eye can see! Behold an intense strike attack if you can effectively get close to your opponent.

Counter Burst – Super Attack – An effective move against ki attacks. Effectively stop your opponent’s Ki blast, and you’ll counter with an even more powerful Ki blast.

Super Galick Gun – Ultimate Attack – Attack your opponent with a super powerful Galick Gun! This move becomes more powerful the more you charge it

Golden Frieza

Golden Frieza will have four super attacks, two ultimate attacks, an evasive skill, and a z-soul. The super attacks that he will have are Death Beam, Emperor’s Edge, Emperor’s Blast, Maximum Charge. The ultimate attacks he will have are Death Ball and Emperor’s Death Beam. His evasive skill will be Psychic Move and Z-Soul will be “You must die by my hand”. Five of those are old skills currently equipped to different variations of Frieza, while the three new are as follows:

Emperor’s Edge – Super Attack – set off a vertical explosion near your opponent

Emperor’s Blast – Super Attack – Spin and attack with a powerful Ki wave. Use when you think you’re about to be flanked.

Emperor’s Death Beam – Ultimate Attack – Fire Ki blasts from your finger tip based on how much Ki you have stored up!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Free Movie Costume DLC Pack (EU/America)

Remember the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F costumes of Goku and Vegeta lucky players of the Japanese version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse could download? Well, now Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a free movie costume DLC pack for players in Europe (EU) and America and they come without having to enter the messy DLC codes! Just to be clear, the Movie Costume DLC Pack differs from DLC Pack 3, which is still in the works and does not have a release date yet.

The contents of the Movie Costume DLC Pack are as follows:

Whis Symbol Gi, which is Goku’s costume
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku’s wig accessory
Whis Symbol Battle Suit, which is Vegeta’s costume

Just like the Japanese version, there is no Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta hair (and we’re not sure why), but it’s hard to complain when it’s free. We should note that we’ve heard conflicting reports on the ‘free’ status. Some have told us the pack is available to those who have the game’s DLC season pass, while others have mentioned a season pass is not needed. Saiyan Island suggests to head over to the PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam store and give it a try to see for yourself, when possible.

Speaking of PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, as of this writing, the DLC is only available for Xbox platforms, however, we fully expect it to make its way to Steam and the PlayStation platforms once the respective stores update. The video below at the 28-second mark by AnimeGamesOnline shows the official release date, for North America at least, is May 5, 2015 (5/5/2015).

Max Level Increase to 99

Dragon Ball Xenoverse has been out for almost four months across the globe. In preparation for DLC Pack 3, which releases tomorrow, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced and already performed maintenance so if you tried to play online earlier and experienced some difficulties, that was the reason.

Upon completion of the maintenance period, connection issues during battles will improve and other technical updates will be made to enhance the overall experience and balance of the game. One of the exciting additions as part of the update is, to our delight, the max level custom created characters can be leveled up to will increase to 99. Assuming 3 points per level, that means players will have an additional 42 attribute points to assign to their character. Joy! Here is the full list given when checking the update history for this update, 1.07, for the game.

Added data for Resurrection “F” pack (DLC Pack 3)
Added World Tournament functionality
Increased level cap to 99
Added new chat phrases
Added new Event Quests
Fixed bugs relating to knockback combos online
Rebalanced several skills
Rebalanced several Z-souls

When we checked it was not up, but we believe the World Tournament mode should be operational soon. If Bandai Namco has any other exciting surprises left in store for Dragon Ball Xenoverse, we hope to let you know right here on Saiyan Island!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Score Bonus Campaign for Limited Time

Training, or grinding as some fans like to call it, to level 99 in Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a challenge! Luckily, Bandai Namco Entertainment is here to help as they have announced players can earn more experience points for a limited time. The Japanese branch of the company states fans will have until June 23, 2015 at 9:00 PM JST to earn a 25% score bonus.

From our understanding, that means if you were to earn 10,000 points for a parallel quest normally, until the time mentioned above week you can earn 12,500. For those who may not remember, score is used to level up your character so if you’re already at level 99, it may not be of any advantage to you. Bandai Namco notes the quest score will not affect the ranking grade.

Combine the score bonus with the tips mentioned in the video below and player should be well on their way to being a top-notch warrior. Good luck and happy training!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse: Give Bandai Namco, Dimps Your Feedback!

Bandai Namco Entertainment wants your feedback on Dragon Ball Xenoverse! They’ve setup a survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H56SQWS in regards to marketing and localization so click on away and share your thoughts!

There are questions on what you thought were positives and negative in the game. Yesterday, we at Saiyan Island posted our Dragon Ball Xenoverse Review, here are our positives and negatives!

Positives
-Ability to create and customize a character
-New take on Dragon Ball Z story
-Music
-Attack Clashes
-Battle Damage for Characters
-Multiplayer
-Spectator Mode in Endless Battle
-Dialogue in Quests
-Ability to present costumes and skills
-Rewards were clearly listed
-Rewards were usable attacks/items in battle, not pointless pictures in a gallery!
-DLC Pack 3

Negatives
-Remove randomness from rewards. They should be tied to rank and the the expectations to achieve a rank should be clearly defined.
-Delay of Level 99 Implementation. This should have been achievable without a patch.
-Only 1 custom created character selectable at a time. We want to pick any and all characters we’ve created from the selection screen.
-Limited transformations. We need more and they should allow for hair style and aura color selection. Character transformations (like Frieza and Cell) should not be split.
-Missing playable characters and stages. Everyone and every stage in the story mode should be selectable for free battle.
-Unbalanced characters. They should be balanced, otherwise everyone always picks the strongest.
-No Training Mode or COM-vs-COM
-World Tournament never opened!
-DLC should be distributed more logically and there should be no pre-order exclusive DLC.

New, Additional Features and Content We Want
Listed below are new features and content we at Saiyan Island would like to see in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The game hasn’t been announced, but with the success of Xenoverse 1, it’s something we expect! The survey doesn’t ask what additional things we, the fans, would like to see, but question 10 has a free-form textbox that says If you were “Extremely Satisifed” or “Extremely Dissatisfied” with any of the items above, please let us know why you feel that way where you could possibly share your suggestions. With luck, they could be passed on to Dragon Ball Xenoverse developer Dimps!

-Original Dragon Ball story and characters
-Dragon Ball Super story and characters
-More Dragon Ball Z characters from series and movies
-Ability to turn off time limit
-Ability to pick different stages for local multiplayer and endless battle
-Allow uneven battles from the start (1-vs-2, 2-vs-3, etc)
-Allow free for all (all players fighting for themselves, rather than teams)
-Permanent stage destruction
-Ability to select if items can or can’t be used in a match
-Equipment should not be tied to stats
-More variation in character creation, similar to sports games. Use sliders, rather than pre-defined looks (for example, we wanted to make a skinny Male Majin in Xenoverse, but it wasn’t possible)
-More hub worlds in addition to Toki Toki City. It would be neat if players could actually build their own hub world with fellow player residents and fight with other, enemy players to protect it!

Bandai Namco Is Not Shutting Down Dragon Ball Xenoverse’s Servers

A bit of a scare hit the internet yesterday, as some people attempting to log into Dragon Ball Xenoverse were greeted by an error message received a message saying online service for the game had ended. People who tried to play were told that the Auto-Patrol, Multi Lobby, and Timespace Delivery features, as well as the ability to register favorites, were all offline. Fortunately, that error message was just that, an error.

Bandai Namco took to Twitter to address Dragon Ball Xenocerse players’ concerns. It confirmed that the servers will remain online and that the message people had received was wrong. Those trying to log into the game now should have no problem playing online.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse Is Going To Host An Online Martial Arts Tournament Event

Bandai Namco got Vegeta, the Prince of Saiyans, to make an announcement for an upcoming online Martial Arts tournament for Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The trailer gives us some details on how it’ll go down.

Keep in mind that the announcement and video was made for Japan, so we’ll likely get our own announcement for the West. According to Vegeta, er Bandai Namco, they will host a training for the upcoming Martial Arts Tournament from August 19th until the 23rd.

The practice session will let you basically get a taste of the tournament, so you can get an idea of how it works. The practice “beta” session will let you take on opponents online to get ready for the main event. You can choose to go with your own custom characters or any of the other characters from the game.

From August 26th until 30th, the “Preliminary Tournament” will take place. During this phase, players will get to participate and rank up for a few das in order to make it on top of the rankings. The ranking is decided by points, and if you manage to be one of the top players, you’ll qualify for the main tournament.

Additionally, those who quality for the main event will get their names posted on the official website, along with a special item and icon next to their name for bragging rights. The main part of the Martial Arts Tournament will take place on September 5th, and will be in elimination fashion, similar to the Martial Arts Tournament from the series.

The video says that the main tournament will decide on the best player in Japan, and it’ll also be live-streamed online for fans to check out. Bandai Namco are currently planning on a second Martial Arts Tournament event as well.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse: 2nd World Tournament, Update

Dragon Ball Xenoverse hit retailers worldwide back in February 2015 and the game received its last update in June of 2015. That was until earlier this month when developer Dimps pushed out update 1.08. The update notes list “Adjusted stamina reduction value of attacks when boost effect wears off during transformation” as the only change. It doesn’t seem like much and fans started speculating what it meant. Could there be bigger updates in store for Dragon Ball Xenoverse, like Dragon Ball Super characters be making their way to the roster? We aren’t sure about that since there is a Dragon Ball game set to be announced later this year.

The immediate reason for the update looks to be the World Tournament! Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the 2nd World Tournament in Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be taking place next month. For those who don’t recall what the world tournament is, take a look at the trailer below. Keep in mind, the trailer was for the first world tournament, which took place September 2015. The dates for the second World Tournament Finals are below. We did not see Bandai Namco announce when the qualifying round for the finals will take place, but we assume it will be next week. If memory serves us correct, the qualifying round for the first World Tournament lasted a few days. In that time, players would build ranking up by winning as many fights as they could with the 4 top players qualifying for the final round.

European Finals

- Xbox 360 – Apr 2nd, 12:00 PM CET
- Xbox One – Apr 2nd 1:00 PM CET
- PlayStation 3 – Apr 2nd 2:00 PM CET
- PlayStation 4 – Apr 2nd 3:00 PM CET
- Steam – Apr 2nd 4:00 PM CET

American Finals

- Xbox 360 – Apr 3rd, 6:00 PM PDT
- Xbox One – Apr 3rd, 7:00 PM PDT
- PlayStation 3 – Apr 3rd, 8:00 PM PDT
- PlayStation 4 – Apr 3rd, 9:00 PM PDT
- Steam – Apr 3rd, 10:00 PM PDT

If your created character is not already at level 99, you can train for the World Tournament by playing Parallel Quests! Until April 4th at 2:00 AM PST, players will earn 50% more Experience Points and Zenny by clearing online Parallel Quests!
