das DS software lineup stampft das aller konsolen der letzten 10 jahre in grund und boden. das alleine rechtfertigt schon den preis.

...aber eine preissenkung wäre dennoch schön für die benutzer.

keine peinliche aussage, sondern meine meinung. die sw ist super aber die hw ist es nicht. und ich bezahle beim kauf der ds nicht die sw sondern die hw. die sw bezahle ich später einzelln

E3 2008: DS Accelerometer / New DS Forthcoming?

US, July 14, 2008 - It's E3 time and the rumors are spreading like wildfire. Sources tell IGN that development studio Activision is preparing to release a new peripheral designed to give Nintendo DS motion/tilt functionality. The small add-on will take a cue from Guitar Hero: On Tour and plug into the Game Boy Advance slot on the DS. One of the first games to make use of this new peripheral will be the next version of Tony Hawk.

Insiders also assert that Nintendo itself may alternatively be planning to release new DS cartridges with built in accelerometers, a possibility that could eventually negate the importance of Activision's peripheral.

In semi-related news, IGN has separately heard from trusted insiders that Nintendo could be planning to debut a slimmed down version of its handheld complemented by a dramatically reduced (sub-$100) price tag. Whether or not this made-over DS will include built-in accelerometer functionality is not known. There is a chance that the Big N will show off the updated DS at E3 2008 this week.

A redesigned DS might ship sans a GBA slot, which could explain why Nintendo might be separately developing accelerometer-based cartridges despite Activision's own efforts.

As always, until IGN can validate the information through multiple sources, readers should consider the hearsay posted in this article as rumor. We will update with new details as they become available.

Scheinbar werden heute 4 neue Spiele vorgestellt^^

So we’ve just been talking with a Sony Playstation rep regarding the upcoming Playstation E3 conference which is being held later on today.
According to the rep, Sony have some interesting things to unveil at the show. The first thing which caught our attention was 4 new PS3 exclusive games which are to be released later on in the year and early 2009. These 4 new games will be shown as well as the following games which have been officially confirmed by Sony:

Killzone 2 (PS3)
LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
MotorStorm Pacific Rift (PS3)
PixelJunk Eden (PS3)
Resistance 2 (PS3)
SIREN: Blood Curse Episode #1 (PSN)
SOCOM: Confrontation (PS3)
Buzz! Master Quiz
Buzz! Quiz TV

We’re guessing that one of the 4 games to be announced by Sony later on today will be God of War 3. For the others, we’re unsure.
The Sony rep said that Home has a few more features/additions and these will also be demonstrated. What these features are exactly, we don’t know.
A new Playstation controller is also supposed to be in the making. Apparently it has a much longer battery life (not that the current controllers don’t have a long battery life!), will be lighter than the current DualShock3, and of course will include rumble. A wireless headset is also said to be included in future PS3 packages and we’re told that we could be seeing a new PS3 bundle in time for Christmas. With Resistance 2 being released in November, there’s a very good chance that Resistance 2 could be part of the new PS3 bundle.
A new PS3 firmware is supposed to be demonstrated, displaying “In game chat”. A few more “surprises” will be detailed later today, we’re not told what, so we’ll just have to sit back and wait.
As this is not officially confirmed by Sony, we’re currently calling all this a rumour for now - we’ll see it all happen later on today.

Ich brauche von Nintendo eigentlich nur ein Action-Adventure bis Ende 2008 und von Sony ein Team ICO-Spiel vom Kaliber eines Shadow of the Colossus (God of War III muss ich nichts sehen, wird Ende 2009 zum Launch geholt) 8)

Die Frage ist jetzt nur, ob damit wirklich neue Spiele gemeint sind, oder Spiele, die man schonmal vorgestellt hat und nur nicht in der liste darunter satehen^^

Sprich Infamous stellen sie ja auch vor und das ist z.B. nicht in der Liste^^

PS: Wann beginnt die Nintnedo PK?^^
