NAja, ich finde nicht, dass GH ein Partygame ist, das ist eher etwas in der Mitte, abgesehen davon bleibt es ein geniales Spiel. :)

New title 'Arkadian Warriors' sells briskly, while new 'Arcade Hits' gobble up many top-10 positions.

This week, Hack-N-Slash Arkadian Warriors debuts in the #1 position, dominating other new release, Gripshift, and XBLA hits.

In just 3 and 1/2 days, Arkadian Warriors debuts with the highest sales ever for the VGChartz.com XBLA Sales charts. After corrections to the whole of the chart, Arkadian Warriors debuted higher than closest competitor 'Undertow' by almost 100%.

Hybrid Puzzle/Racer Gripshift also has a decent start, at 1,900 units. Despite already being on the PSP handheld console, and Playstation Network (for PS3), the developers of Gripshift have high hopes for their first XBLA entry.

And rounding out the top 10, 4 of the 5 new XBox Live Arcade Hits chart strongly in the top-10, with Marble Blast Ultra, a game nearly 2 years old, taking a strong increase over last week.

Other misc. notes:

Accuracy on these charts is going up, and will be very, very good in the next few weeks. With the fall Xbox 360 Dashboard update, trial games are no longer tracked. For new releases, this means that sales are going to be coming 100% from games sold, not just achievements. So we can be fairly certain new titles are going to have great accuracy. They're still estimates, but they should be very close (within 10%) of actuals.

And for the reasoning behind lowering the games by roughly 23% overall: since we now have near-actuals to compare sales on (via actual userbase rather than achievement base for new games), I have found out the totals were a bit high on new releases, and older games. Therefore I adjusted most of the numbers. After adjustments, accuracy increased even more vs. Major Nelson/Microsoft actual positioning. This week, 7/10 titles were in Major Nelson's top 10, and 9/15 were in his top 10. The lowest title was 'Asteroids & Asteroids Deluxe' at #20, taking out the freebies and Arcade titles.

TOKYO (AFP) - Worldwide sales of Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3 are expected to reach 11 million by the end of this fiscal year, a senior executive said in an interview published Saturday.



Sony Computer Entertainment's chief executive Kazuo Hirai told the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper he was confident of fulfilling that goal despite stiff competition from Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's XBoX 360.

The PlayStation3 "is starting afresh as a console to play games with. Although pricing strategy is important, now we would like to put our strength in the number of software games," he said.

Sony cut the price of the PS3 by 10 percent in Japan to 39,980 yen (356 dollars) and launched a new slimmed-down version, ratcheting up the competition with its rivals ahead of the crucial year-end sales period.

A recent report said the PS3 video games console had outsold Nintendo's Wii in Japan in November.

The company has also announced that PS3 sales in North America more than tripled in the crucial Thanksgiving holiday week after a 100-dollar price cut.

Hirai told the Yomiuri he would like to see Sony's game division "escape as soon as possible from the red and return to the black in fiscal year 2008."

Spiele gibts ja genug für die PS3 und man hat mir gesagt die haben auch ne gute Qualität. Heisst also sie wollen jetzt mehr Quantität statt Qualität. Crap füllt eben die Regale schneller auf als Qualität. Sehr klug.

Ninjabreadman wird's jetzt wohl auch für die PS3 geben, woohooo.
