PES 2008 Images & Features From Official Playstation Magazine
This months issue of OPM (Official Playstation Magazine) features some never seen before images of PES 2008 as well as unveiling some new features and additions to this years game. The images seem to be from the same build that was shown-off by Konami earlier in the month with the official announcement of the game. But new screenies are always a treat when it comes to WE/PES! Without further ado, here are those pics.
Some of the new features in the game look fantastic and definetly add to the realism eperience that has made this game such a cult hit with soccer fans. The article focuses on the PS3 version highlighting that it's a completely new game built from from the ground up. The new proprietary adaptive system or AI known as "TEAMVISION" is also mentioned and given the double thumbs up by the writer. The images also show the new shirt-pulling feature that has been talked about for a while. The W.E.N.B. team is curious as to how that is gonna look and feel like in-game!
"Out favourite improvements are two small things that we've been requesting for years. The first being the ability to decide which players attack and defend set-pieces.... You can also designate how many players (and which ones) stand in the wall on free-kicks". Another feature fans will be ecstatic to hear with is the remastered edit mode that is said to be "massive."
OPM claim to have an in-depth preview in the next issue. We will have all that info and more in as its released. Stay tuned with W.E.N.B. for all the latest WE/PES fans.

Stimmt, die neue Engine wird erwähnt, aber es ist nicht davon die Rede, dass sie PS3-exklusive. Die Bilder scheinen von der gleichen Version zu sein, von der schon die ertsten Bilder stammen:

Zock gerade wieder den 6. Teil auf der 360 und muss sagen, die technische Seite ist doch die reinste Frechheit, bei jeder zweiten Strafraumszene mit mehr als 5 Mitspieler bricht die Framerate ins Bodenlose. 
Mit ABstand das schlechteste PES auch vom ausbalancing her.

jopp, sehe ich genauso... Gameplay war imo ne Verschlechterung zu Teil 5, und dazu kamen für 360-Besitzer ja noch so einige Kürzungen (Stadien, kein Editor etc.)... mit Teil 7 kanns zum Glück fast nur besser werdenZock gerade wieder den 6. teil 6 habe ich vor knapp 1 woche verkauft, also die x360 version.
habs mir aber gestern zusammen mit der psp gekauft.. da rockt es, genauso wie aufm PC
naja 7 kann nur besser werden (x360) ;-)

PES 2008 to be playable in August, all versions to be the same
According to French gaming website Jeux-Video, a number of details were revealed regarding Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 during the IDEF event in Cannes, France. Konami expects a playable version of the soccer sim to be available on August 22nd which will most likely be making an apperance at the Leipzig event. Konami also noted that the Japanese version should be identical to the European version and there should be no technical differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 incarnations.
