New Lara Croft DLC hits XBL

A third DLC pack for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light heads up a bunch of new content arriving on Xbox Live Arcade today.

Titled A Hazardous Reunion, it offers "Four new challenge maps featuring mind-boggling puzzles, waves of intense combat action, and a fiery reunion with an old friend." You'll need to scrape together 400 MS Points to discover the identity of said chum.

Bomberman Live: Battlefest also goes public, costing 800 MS Points, alongside new Marvel-themed tables for Pinball FX 2 (also 800 MS Points) and the Grubbins on Ice Costume Quest expansion (400 MS Points).

Game Room Pack 012 enthält Twin Bee und Detana! Twin Bee. Angeblich kommen von Konami noch mehr Shmups wie Gradius usw.

Quake Arena Arcade dated for XBLA


Quake Arena Arcade will available on Xbox Live Arcade from 15th December, publisher Bethesda Softworks has confirmed.



It's about time too – the game was first announced more than three years ago.



Based on id Software's beloved 1999 shooter Quake 3 Arena, you'll be able to frag up to 15 of your friends in six game modes, including 'Deathmatch', 'Capture the Flag' and 'Harvester'.



There are over 30 classic maps included, 12 Xbox-exclusive arenas and a brand new Single Player campaign too.

A spokesperson for Bethesda told Eurogamer that pricing would be confirmed next week.

Mal ein paar Worte zu dem neuen Bomberman-Teil:

Ich bin eigentlich ein großer Fan der Serie, habe für das SNES und den Gameboy Teile davon und natürlich Bomberman LIVE für XBLA. Dennoch habe ich mich gegen den Kauf des neuen Bomberman entschieden. Und zwar nicht, weil es mir in der Demo keinen Spaß machen würde, sondern einfach nur, weil ich keine nennenswerten Unterschiede zwischen Bomberman LIVE und Bomberman Battlefest finden kann. Die Grafik ist gleich, der Aufbau, sogar die Geräusche in den Menüs ist wie im Vorgänger. Battlefest hätte es als 400 Points-Addon geben sollen, nicht als 800 Points-Vollversion. So warte ich nun auf einen Deal of the Week, denn zehn Euro für einen Aufguss lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach nicht.
 
Mir hat das erste Bomberman Live schon nicht gefallen. Ich habs gekauft aber nicht wirklich viel gespielt. Die 3D Perspektive stört bei dem Spiel extrem und tausende Items und Spielmodi machen das Spiel nicht besser sondern eher unübersichtlicher. Auch die höchste Kamera ist mir noch zu schräg. Es fühlt sich einfach weniger intuitiv an als ein klassisches Bomberman-Spiel.
 
Für Quake braucht man (noch) kein VPN.Kann man ganz normal herunterladen.
