hier noch ein paar englihe infos

Locations: St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada
Role: Developer
Stock Info: None
Classification: 2nd Party (Nintendo)
Notable Titles/Series: Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (PSX, PC)Eternal Darkness (N64, now rumored to be a GameCube title)Too Human (cancelled for PSX, now a GameCube title)
Current Reputation: The general consensus seems to be, "Silicon Knights looks promising, but I'm waiting to see more proof." Their biggest and most recently released game, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, was a big success and really helped out the Playstation in its early years. SK's next game, Too Human for PSX, was cancelled just before completion, but was considered to be one of the most advanced 32-bit games ever designed. Their current project, Eternal Darkness, is coming out early 2001. The company is known for mature-themed, intricately scripted adventure games. The only drawback is that, being a small company, they really haven't produced enough software to be measured by yet.
Profit Potential: Very good. A lot of Nintendo 64 owners are looking for good games geared toward an older audience, and Eternal Darkness will fill that need perfectly. We can only assume that the trend will continue on GameCube.
Relationship with Nintendo: As good as it gets. SK originally began its work on Eternal Darkness as an independent developer, but Nintendo was so impressed by their work that they offered to buy a portion of the company and make it a second-party, just like Rare. Silicon Knights will be making games exclusively for Nintendo systems from now on, and the Big N seems willing to support them with just about any game idea they come up with.
Mainstream Strengths: Silicon Knights works on a game until it's finished, just like Rare. You can expect the same level of consistency and quality.
Association with Nintendo allows them to take more creative risks and have priority access to development kits, system microcode, etc.
Extremely good press relations make them an open company, easy to talk to and eager to share information to us reporters, and subsequently, to you readers.
Specializes in highly graphic, mature-themed games, filling in a huge gap in Nintendo's traditional software offerings. Also quite capable of producing RPGs and other highly story-driven genres.
Mainstream Weaknesses: Silicon Knights is still very much a wild card. With their fairly short history and small library of games, it's hard to evaluate their technical expertise and market appeal in the long-run.
If you're not interested in RPG/adventure games involving zombies, vampires, serial killers, and similar macabre elements, or if you think complex stories tend to bog games down, you're probably not going to like anything from Silicon Knights.
Value in US Market: Major. Eternal Darkness is poised to redefine the horror game genre with some significant departures from the same old Resident Evil formula. With Silicon Knights probably eventually working on an RPG, or at least related genres with heavy RPG elements, the company could very quickly gain a huge following for itself in the U.S.
Value in Japanese Market: Probably great. Japanese gamers are traditionally into mature-oriented games like Castlevania and Resident Evil. Although Silicon Knights is based in Canada, their subject matter should go over very well in the Land of the Rising Sun.
