Harmonix hatte versprochen, Schlagzeug-Experten in Rock Band 2 den Übergang zum richtigen Instrument zu ermöglichen. Das will man wohl mit diversen Geräten von Drittherstellern ermöglichen, so eine Andeutung des Teams. Laut Bill Harris wird einer der Controller im Rahmen eines Previews in der Game Informer genauer beschrieben.

Becken, wie sie das Drum-Kit aus Guitar Hero: World Tour bietet, werden beim Standard-Schlagzeug-Controller von Rock Band 2 nicht enthalten sein, schließlich unterstützt der Titel auch die Instrumente des Vorgängers. Wer dennoch nicht darauf verzichten will, kann sie dann wohl separat erwerben - oder gleich zum Ion Drum-Kit greifen. Das wartet mit vier Drum-Pads, einem Pedal sowie drei Schellen auf. Für ambitionierte Drummer vielleicht eine lohnende Investition, denn das Gerät fungiert auch unabhängig vom Spiel als elektronisches Schlagzeug.

Anderen Angaben zufolge wird es außerdem eine limitierte Sonderausgabe des Gitarren-Controllers geben. Die basiert auf der Fender Stratocaster und ist genauso groß wie das Original. Bei allen neuen Klampfen sollen zudem die Anschlagknöpfe deutlich verbessert worden sein, auch lärmen die Noten-Knöpfe weniger, wenn man sie drückt.

Rock Band 2 Bundle on Xbox 360 Getting Delayed October Release?

While the Rock Band 2 game and individual instruments are set for an exclusive Xbox 360 release on September 14, it now appears that Harmonix's Special Edition bundle will not make it to stores until October 19, a full month later.

The official Rock Band store and retailer GameStop both list the bundle as shipping on October 19--the same day the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Wii versions are set to arrive.

The Special Edition bundle--which includes the microphone, drums, guitar and game disc--costs only $199.99, while the separate instruments and game add up to an MSRP of $249.96.

Many fans who were planning on enjoying the early release while saving money with the bundle are upset about the apparent delay.

"I think it was a mistake to do it this way," said Rock Band community member Pandemonium. "People who were on the fence about whether they should buy the bundle and upgrade their controllers or just buy the game are now less likely to buy the bundle.. I think they are going to lose money."

The first Rock Band instruments originally shipped only in bundle form, with the separate peripherals arriving in stores months after the initial release.

Shacknews has contacted developer Harmonix, publisher MTV, and distributor Electronic Arts for comment, but has not yet received a reply.

Und? Wo ist es? Sollte doch gestern (14.09.) in Amerika rauskommen, und das an nem Sonntag :D
Echt super wie sich dieses absolut falsche Darum hält, jede Seite hat den 14.09. eingetragen und nen EU Release ist auch nicht mal bekannt. Was läuft hier eigentlich? Aber hauptsache es gibt schon DLC für RB2 aufm XBL Marktplatz (neue RB1 Lieder werden nun auch unter RB2 geführt) und es gibt für RB1 den Patch die RB1 Lieder für RB2 zu nutzen. Aber wie wenn RB2 wohl garnicht mehr dieses Jahr rauskommt?
Echt eine Frechheit.

Und es wird auch auf der offiziellen Rockband Homepage angepriesen. Ganz toll. Also heißt es wieder bis Mai 2009 warten. Mir tun ja auch schon die PS3ler, PS2ler und Wiiler leid, die RB1 jetzt erst gegen ende September bekommen. Also irgendwie zieht es mich immer mehr zu GH:WT rüber, da dies wohl wirklich im November kommt, und das dann auch Weltweit! Bis jetzt kam jedes GH pünktlich.

Das Spiel hat ja mal wieder ne sehr gute Setlist (viel besser als die von GH IMO) muss aber leider warten bis die PS3 Version erscheint :/

Ach ja, das Ion Drum Rocker Drumkit, das in den USA stolze 300$ kostet wird bei uns ebenfalls im Saturn und Mediamarkt erscheinen. Für 300€.
So eine Frechheit.
