Revo news on April 20th A load of crap
April 13th, 2006
A post on Matt Casamassinas (IGN) blog
Yes. Get ready. Prepare yourself. Buckle up. Because ladies and gents, this is the day that 50 NDAs expire.
And that is, by the way, a load of crap.
Where did this rumor come from? Seriously. Stop e-mailing me about it. I have not signed any NDA that expires on April 20 and unless Nintendo is planning to spoil its E3 presence three weeks early, I seriously doubt anybody else has, either.
I am in talks with publishers about posting some of their Revolution stuff prior to E3. I like to think Im fairly in-the-know where these titles are concerned. And I cant recall any company that is planning to reveal its Revolution game on April 20.
Red Steel has been the exception to the rule.
Nintendo has a stranglehold on all Revolution games to the point, in fact, where titles are very likely to be exclusively shown at Nintendos E3 booth. Meaning, third parties wont be featuring any Revolution game at their respective booths, if hearsay is to be believed.
By the way, Im pretty sure I know what the other secret feature is. Just thought Id throw that out there.
Please murder April 20.
April 23, meanwhile, daaaaaammn
Yeah, thats a joke. Do not start an April 23 rumor.
It looks like the April 20th deal is
well
not a deal. We reported on the matter that the 20th may harbor new Revo game info, but I kept quiet on the subject because I didnt think anything was coming. The only thing I am sure of is that Game Informer will be launching a new online aspect to their website which makes it easier to get information. We may see some new Red Steel stuff through their service, or we may not. I think this is where the April 20th deal spawned from.
Also worth mentioning, isnt it just pure evil to tell your readers that you are pretty sure of the final Revo secret? We all go through the torment, rumors, and discussions of what it may be on a daily basis. Now we have someone that obviously is in the know a lot more then you and I, and they have to tease us with that little bit of knowledge. Evil with a capital E I tell you!
