One Piece Romance Dawn Will Go Adventuring On PSP In December

Namco Bandai are publishing another One Piece game this year—One Piece Romance Dawn: Adventure at Daybreak, a PSP role-playing game that’s adapted from One Piece precursor manga, Romance Dawn.

The game will feature a 3D world that you can explore, and a command-based battle system. Playable characters include Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji and Usopp. You can find a trailer for it here.

Jump magazine (via Tale Tale Source) reveals that One Piece Romance Dawn: Adventure at Daybreak will be released on December 20th in Japan.

Franky, Robin, And CP9 Are In One Piece Romance Dawn

Jump has more details about One Piece Romance Dawn: Adventure at Daybreak. The PSP role playing game is based on the Romance Dawn manga and features popular characters from the One Piece series.

On top of Nami and Zoro, Franky and Robin are confirmed as playable characters. Cipher Pol Number 9 are the enemies in One Piece Romance Dawn.

One Piece Romance Dawn comes out on December 20 for PSP.

Sony kündigt One Piece PSP Bundle für Japan an

Auch zehn Monate nach dem Launch der PlayStation Vita in Japan sagt Sony der alten PSP noch nicht ab. Gar nicht so verwunderlich, verkauft sich die PSP doch regelmäßig noch besser als der neue Handheld. Und so kommt es, dass es tatsächlich ein brandneues PSP-Bundle in Japan geben wird. Sony kündigte eine Limited Edition eines neuen One Piece Bundles an, die “One Piece: Romance Dawn Dawn of Adventure Straw Hat Pirates Edition”.

Das Bundle enthält eine PSP-3000 im One Piece: Romance Dawn Design sowie das Spiel selbst. Außerdem ist ein PSP-Theme enthalten sowie “Straw Hat Pirate Wanted” Poster Custom Themes und ein zusätzliches Quest. Das Bundle erscheint am 20. Dezember in Japan und soll 19.780 Yen, umgerechnet etwa 192 Euro, kosten.

Das sind aber die beiden ersten OP Games diese Gen^^ Besser als Unlimited Cruise und so sind sie ja aber die DS Spiele sind auch sehr gut^^

Thriller Bark Arc, Brook, And Zombies Are In One Piece Romance Dawn

One Piece Romance Dawn covers more of the series than the Romance Dawn chapters. The Thriller Bark arc where Luffy visits a haunted island is also covered in the PSP role playing game.

Jump also confirms Brook is a playable character in One Piece Romance Dawn. Screenshots show Brook in battle and Luffy fighting mummy-like zombies. Players will also Gomu Gomu punch Ryuma and Gekko Moriah. Both characters appear as bosses in One Piece Romance Dawn.

One Piece Romance Dawn is slated for release on December 20 in Japan.

One Piece Romance Dawn: Adventure at Daybreak covers a lot more of One Piece than the title suggests. Jump reports the Impel Down arc will also be in the PSP role playing game. In this storyline Luffy and crew break into Impel Down, an underwater prison, to rescue Ace. Jinbe, Buggy, Ivankov, and Bon Kurei will be in the game as NPCs.

In battle, you can use the Grand Chain move in One Piece Romance Dawn to assault enemies with one special technique after another. Namco Bandai also said the Thriller Bark arc is also in One Piece Romance Dawn.

One Piece: Romance Dawn Also Covers The Battle Of Marineford Arc

Namco Bandai announced another storyline covered in the upcoming One Piece role playing game. Jump reports One Piece: Romance Dawn covers the Battle of Marineford arc.

Players will fight the three Admirals in One Piece: Romance Dawn. Whitebeard and Boa Hancock show up in this storyline as NPCs that help you out. Portgas D. Ace also shows up in the Battle of Marineford as a playable character.

One Piece: Romance Dawn should’ve been simply called "One Piece RPG." Namco Bandai added more arcs than the Romance Dawn storyline like the Battle of Marineford and Thriller Bark arcs. One Piece: Romance Dawn also has chapters form Tony Tony Chopper and Sanji.

One Piece Romance Dawn Lets You Select Islands From A World Map

Namco Bandai have released a new trailer for One Piece: Romance Dawn, their upcoming PSP RPG. Be warned that spoilers are shown, all the way up to the final events of the series’ Marineford arc. (Then again, if you’re here looking at this article, you probably already know what happenss.)

More details have been released with regard to gameplay. First, you can select the island you want to visit from a world map, where you can view the episodes. It’s most likely an “episode” refers to an entire arc, although this is unclear. After selecting an episode to play, you can travel through the cities as any one of the Straw Hats.

The battle system, termed the Grand Tactical Battle system, combines turn-based battle with action-based combo. The result seems to be reminiscent of Xenogears gameplay. Attacking will cause you to accumulate Tension Points, which can be used to activate special attacks.

The game is shown to cover at least to the end of the Marineford arc. The story is told through a combination of manga-looking skills, skits (similar to those from Tales games), and anime cutscenes. There is a total of 30 minutes of animation, newly redrawn by Toei Animation, included.

(As an aside, the Boss fights show that much more story detail will be included in Romance Dawn than we saw in Pirate Warriors, as we see the Straw Hat crew take on the Baroque Works Numbers in Alabaster.)

In addition, you can customize character appearances with items such as Ace’s Hat, the Heavenly Ones’ (Tenryuubito in fandom) bubble helmet, and black angel wings. These items also change stats in some fashion. The trailer also shows that there’s some item synthesis system in the game.

Finally, the opening song is an original created especially for the game—”Eternal Waves” by TRIPLANE. One Piece: Romance Dawn will be released on December 20th.
