Switch Nintendo Switch - Games

Hinweis

Muss mir vllt mal wieder was dazu ansehen.

Disgea 1 Complete Nin, Nin, Nin Trailer

https://nintendoeverything.com/nint...aves-ensuring-fair-play-with-those-that-dont/

“The vast majority of Nintendo Switch games will support Save Data Cloud backup. However, in certain games this feature would make it possible to, for example, regain items that had been traded to other players, or revert to a higher online multiplayer ranking that had been lost. To ensure fair play, Save Data Cloud backup may not be enabled for such games. To ensure that Save Data Cloud backups cannot be used to unfairly affect online multiplayer rankings, the feature will not be enabled in Splatoon 2.”

Broken Sword creator says “Switch has gone beyond the hardcore Nintendo fans to a mainstream audience”

Broken Sword will be back on Nintendo platforms with this month’s release of Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse on Switch. At Gamescom last month, MCV spoke with series creator Charles Cecil about bringing the game over and more.

Speaking about why the time is right for Broken Sword 5 on Switch, Cecil mentioned that the fans had been requested it. Additionally, he says that the platform “has gone beyond the hardcore Nintendo fans to a mainstream audience”.

Cecil stated:
“The fans quite rightly pointed out that it’s an ideal platform for an adventure. The Switch has gone beyond the hardcore Nintendo fans to a mainstream audience, we feel that now is the ideal time to bring an adventure to the platform – as we did for Broken Sword: Director’s Cut on Wii and DS.”

On Broken Sword 5 for Switch, Barton noted that touchscreen and Joy-Con controls will be included. After focus tests were done, some preferred playing one way over the other, so both are in. Barton added that “The user interface allows play to seamlessly switch between Joy-Con and touchscreen.”

Docked vs. Undocked

"If that's not the way [you] want to play, we don't want to then block people from enjoying [it]," Rose said. "Absolutely, you can collect all of the parts digitally. You can get the whole game digitally."

The advantage of having the toys remains to be seen. Yes, there's something very fast, easy, and even satisfying about physically swapping one weapon on the ship clipped to your controller for another with no pause in the game.

That said, I feel like a pop-up radial menu could offer the same sense of immediacy — or very close to it — without the need to take either hand off the controller. Whichever sounds more appealing to you, Starlink only stands to benefit from offering both.

"We don't want people to feel like we're trying to trick them into buying these. We want people to collect these because they're amazing, high quality, incredible tech, [and] they bring you this gameplay experience that's more intuitive than any inventory management system you've ever seen," Rose said.

And if all that fumbling with plastic isn't for you? No big deal.

"There's no hard gating," he continued. "We really want this to be the most player-friendly experience it can be."

A small group of people came by from Nintendo of America and asked if they could see the game and of course we were happy to show it to them. The game was coming out on Nintendo Switch and we hadn’t really demoed for Nintendo people yet. So they came by to take a look and there was very much a poker face as we showed them the game. Then at the end of the demo one of them went, oh do you mind if we bring back a couple more people? And we said yeah, totally, that sounds cool.

“Then they came back and they stared introducing people and were saying, this is the director of Mario Odyssey, here’s the director of Mario Kart 8, here’s ARMs, the creator of Animal Crossing…so we did another demo for the new audience, it did well, and after that they said oh do you mind we come back with a couple more people? So we started going up these ranks and meeting all of these legends and we did four or five demos for them at that E3 and ultimately at the end [Nintendo of America president] Reggie came with another group from NOA and we showed them the game. It went really well and so we thought, okay, something’s gotta be up here, this has been pretty amazing having this kind of interest from Nintendo.

“After that, we started talking with them back and forth and we got an invitation to go out to Kyoto and discuss a potential collaboration, which was kind of a dream come true. Myself and a couple of people from the team got to make that trip to do the pitch to Mr. Miyamoto and, when we arrived, he had brought a few more people than expected. He started introducing everyone else and it turned out to be the entire Japanese side of the Star Fox 1 [SNES] development team still at Nintendo. So we presented the game to them and we presented our ideas for a collaboration. It went really, really well, they loved it, and the rest is history. We started working on that and it was unbelievable to get to reveal that to the world at this past E3.”
