Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma 3DS Game Slated for December 17

The November issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is revealing on Saturday that FuRyu's upcoming Shokugeki no Sōma: Yūjō to Kizuna no Hitosara (Shokugeki no Sōma: The Dish of Friendship and Bonds) Nintendo 3DS game will ship on December 17.

The magazine also reveals that the game will have a completely original story. In the game, the students of Tōtsuki Culinary Academy gather on a lone island in Europe for a cooking battle tournament.

The cast from the anime will reprise their roles in the game.

The game's official website previously streamed a teaser for the game in May.

7th Dragon III Code: VFD ‘Agent’ introduction trailer

Sega has released a new trailer for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD introducing the “Agent” job class.

Agents wield dual pistols and are specialists in hacking. They use a variety of shooting skills and surprise long-range attacks, can grant various status ailments with their high hacking abilities, lay traps, and more.

7th Dragon III Code: VFD is due out for 3DS in Japan on October 15.

Stella Glow ‘Song Magic’ trailer, screenshots

Atlus has released a new trailer for Stella Glow, its upcoming 3DS strategy RPG from Imageepoch, introducing the game’s “Song Magic.”

Song Magic is one of the core mechanics of Stella Glow. Only five people in the world know how to use it. As the protagonist Alto, you’ll be able to recruit Witches to join your party. As the “Song Stone” meter gradually fills during the game’s battles, you’ll be able to use Song Magic to debuff or damage enemies, or heal allies. You can spend portions of the game’s “Free Time” to tune a Witch’s heart and unlock more Song Magic, as well as further increase your bond with them.

Stella Glow will launch for 3DS on November 17 in North America and spring 2016 in Europe.

Monster Strike Will Summon On 3DS In Japan On December 17

Monster Strike is currently one of Japan’s most popular smartphone games, and it’s getting turned into a full-fledged 3DS title with tons of extra content. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine reports that it will release in Japan on December 17th. [Thanks, Hachima.]

The genre of Monster Strike for 3DS is RPG, and it is said to be a “a Monster Strike boosted with a sense of adventure.” You’ll go exploring and fight together with the original protagonists of and characters, including a “super next-level” monster called Kagutsuchi.

All the monsters have their own cut-ins that weren’t in the original smartphone version fo the game, and the battle system will be different as you’ll be required to hold the 3DS sideways. They are currently working on balances for the game.

The monsters will also be depicted in pixel-art fashion, with the reason being so you can see them all clearly. The game will also support stereoscopic 3D. All four main characters will have their own monsters.

Monster Strike will release in Japan on December 17, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.

Monster Strike 3DS Japanese box art, pre-order bonuses

Mixi has shared the final Japanese box art for the 3DS adaption of Monster Strike, which was recently confirmed for a December 17 release date in Japan. It will cost 4,500 yen (4,860 yen with tax).

The publisher also announced that pre-orders for the game will include an “Oragon Earphone Jack Mascot,” which you can clip into your cell phone’s earphone jack.

First-print copies of the game will include a download code for the “Starter Item Set,” which contains one “Rainbow Medal,” one “Beast God Sphere,” and one “Monster Status Strengthen Item.”

7th Dragon III demo now available in Japan

A demo for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD is now available on the 3DS eShop in Japan, Sega announced.

The demo lets players experience the story’s prologue and a battle against a powerful dragon. Specifically, it runs from Chapter 0 into the opening of Chapter 1. Different from the retail version, there is no character creation and the max level is 10. You can import your save data into the retail version, however, and when you do, you’ll be able to change the appearance, name, and job class of your character. Users with a Japanese 3DS can quickly access the demo using this QR code.

Sega also released a new set of screenshots, introducing the dragon bosses of Chapter 0 and Chapter 2, which are the Imeperial Dragons Spectas and Mayhem, respectively. You’ll also see the lower class district of “Cladion,” which is located in the game’s Atlantis setting.

Sega has released a new trailer for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD introducing the “Mage” job class.

Mages are conjurers able to induce supernatural phenomenon. As magic specialists, they’re able to unleash various magic attacks against enemies, as well as heal allies. But since their defensive power is low, it is necessary to proceed with caution.

Haikyuu!! Cross Team Match! announced for 3DS

Haikyuu!! Cross Team Match! is in development for 3DS, the latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals.

The latest Haikyuu video game features a completely original story, casting the players as the main character. You’ll choose your party members and search for teammates to join your volleyball team. Different things will appear based on who you select. By talking to more people, you’ll gain access to more requests. Perform well and they might even become potential teammates.

A release date for Haikyuu!! Cross Team Match! was not announced.

Stella Glow ‘Regnant Knights’ trailer, screenshots

Atlus has released a new trailer for Stella Glow introducing the game’s “Regnant Knights.”

Stella Glow‘s protagonist Alto belongs to the Regnant Knights’ 9th Regiment, as do his squad mates Archibald, Klaus, and Rusty. The knights are tasked with recruiting Witches to stop Hilda, the Witch of Destruction. The Witches you recruit will be able to perform Song Magic, and you’ll be able to tune their hearts to unlock more Song Magic, as well as further increase your bonds with them.

Stella Glow will launch for 3DS on November 17 in North America and spring 2016 in Europe.

Sega has released a new trailer for 7th Dragon III Code: VFD introducing the “Rune Knight” job class.

Rune Knights are swordsmen that use small knives paired with elemental and effects-based. They can heal the entire party as well as protect them from the enemy’s magic-based attacks. With the highest defense, the Rune Knight is the guardian of the party.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 has over 500 monster types

Jump this week has first details on Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3.

The game is set in the near future. The protagonist is a boy who lost the memories of his past. He obtains an unknown, multipurpose device called a “Reactor” and goes on a journey to regain his memory. The Reactor is equipped with various functions, including the ability to analyze monsters.

Over 500 types of monsters are set to appear. You’ll be able to ride every monster you make friends with, be it on the ground, in the sky, or in the water, and there are some places you can’t reach without riding there.

There will also be a multiplayer battle element, as well as types of competitions not seen in previous games.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 is in development for 3DS.
