Xbox360 Kommt Xbox 360 Ultimate mit HD-DVD?

Meint Ihr es kommt dann noch ein externes Blu-Ray-Laufwerk für die 360?? Die Chancen sind ja stark gestiegen!!

Na wenn das zu teuer wird kann man sich ja gleich ne PS3 kaufen. Wenn es nicht deutlich günstiger wird scheitert auch dieses mögliche Projekt.

In a rare abstention from its tried-and-true rumor response mantra "Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation," the software giant is denying it has any plans for an Xbox 360 with an internal HD-DVD player.

"We have reiterated multiple times since launching the Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player that we have no plans to integrate an HD-DVD player in to the Xbox 360," a spokesman told GameSpot. "We feel that offering the drive externally is the best way to give consumers the ultimate choice to create their own high-definition experiences."

Dieses Dementi kommt aber zu einem sehr sehr merkwürdigen Zeitpunkt. Denke es wäre eine Ultimate gewesen, aber jetzt kusieren schon gerüchte, dass M$ in wenigen tagen/wochen das HDDVD addon komplett einstellen wird.

Well, if the talk around the office at Warner turns out true the wake this announcement has caused hasn't even come close to hitting yet. My guy at Warner says a lot of the talk coming from the upper level guys at WHV is going something like this:

1. Toshiba ending HD DVD stand alone production within 8 weeks.

3. P/DW will be allowed out of their contract.
4. Universal will be canceling production of HD discs with a BD launch date as early as Q3 2008.

Gut so. 3 Versionen der 360 sind genug und ein HD Laufwerk braucht man also Zocker eh nicht. Wie die PS3 beweist bringt es keinerlei Vorteile außer der geringeren Lautstärke. Die Spiele sind weder länger, noch besser und sie laden auch nicht schneller.

Mag zwar sein, aber die CES war ja noch gar nicht.
Insofern verwundert es mich etwas, ich würde erst morgen mit Klartext rechnen.

HD DVD Promo Group Cancels CES Press Conference

It was among the most highly anticipated press events of this year's Consumer Electronics Show, but following today's announcement from Warner Home Video, this Sunday's press conference from the HD DVD Promotions Group has been cancelled.

Organizers sent out a note to members of the media and invited guests late Friday, attributing the cancellation to the timing of Warner's announcement. A rep for the group told us this evening that the press conference will not be rescheduled, but that the group will still have a presence at the show from its booth on the convention floor.

Dochdoch, aber für das Geld was die haben wollen drehe ich den Film lieber selbst
Die einzige Blu Ray die ich gekauft hat, hat 21€ gekostet,dafür kann ich ne Woche im Puff übernachten

MS hat immer gesagt dass sie keine 360 mit HD DVD Player bringen weil sie die Kunden entscheiden lassen wollen. Höchstens Toshiba hat vielleicht eine nachbauen wollen.
