Film Godzilla - Eat your Snickers b*tch

The brief test footage (the film hasn’t actually begun filming yet) started with some smoke and then showed a city that had been completely destroyed by something. As the trailer moved forward, the famous “I am become Death” speech by J. Robert Oppenheimer — “We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture… ‘Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.’” — played over the scenes of devastation, implying that the movie will use the effects of a nuclear bomb or something along those lines as the creator of Godzilla. In the middle of the footage, we see a multi-legged monster that has already been killed. Then, as the trailer comes to a close, we get a shot of a new design for Godzilla. The footage ends with the classic Godzilla scream.


The design is somewhere between the first U.S. adaptation of Godzilla and the classic design. If you were hoping for a guy in a rubber suit, you will be sadly disappointed. It’s definitely not the classic look for the monster.

What the footage does get right is set up the monster as a force of utter destruction. Who knows what the actual movie will look like, who will be in it, or what kind of story it will be. It’s too early for me to say if the movie will be any good, but the teaser does fill me with a good deal of hope.

Das ist doch mal wieder ein Blockbuster mit einem großen unartigen Monster. "Godzilla" kommt im Mai 2014 in die Kinos.

Die müssen dann aber schon demnächst mal langsam anfangen zu filmen, wenn die das bis Mai 2014 schaffen wollen. Und das der Film düster wird begrüße ich, aber dann wirds wohl doch kein Monster neben Godzilla geben?

Nach dem Emmerich-Zilla bin ich berechtigterweise noch etwas skeptisch. Der neue Film kann aber eigentlich nur besser werden.

P.S.: Ich hatte gerade noch die Rückkehr des King Kong bestellt und habe jetzt das Broccoli-Gif gesehen. Herrlich.

Emmerich-Zilla war eigentlich recht nett, nur hat das Vieh den falschen Regisseur und das falsche Skript erwischt.:hmm2:

Wär ja wieder bei Godzilla dabei, aber Emmerichs Godzilla fand ich maximal ok. Kannte aus der Kindheit einige wenige der alten Tohos.

Hätte da schon Lust einen neuen zu sehen, dauert aber etwas.

hier kommt also das bild her. Schauen wir mal ob diesmal der Focus nen bissel besser auf Godzilla liegt und das es Godzilla ist und nicht nur Jurassic Park - The stand-alone T-Rex Film wird.

Auf dem SDCC Godzilla Panel wurde allerdings gesagt, dass das nicht das finale Godzilla Design ist. Das werden wir garantiert erst im Kino sehen. Auch in der Werbung und im Trailer wird man Godzilla selbst wohl nicht sehen. Wäre ja auch ein Mega Spoiler.
