Crackdown 2 Brings Keys to the City, New DLC

ATTN Crackdown fans, Ruffian Games has just announced a set of new DLC for Crackdown 2 which aims to provide you aspiring Agency, uh, Agents with even more frantic fun. Probably the biggest of which is the return of a certain set of keys. Veteran Agents may remember these keys being available in the original Crackdown, so they know exactly what to expect here. However, for those of you who don’t know, the Keys to the City in Crackdown are basically legalized glitches, letting players rack up their stats to the maximum level, spawn weapons on the fly, become invincible, and whatever else you could possibly think of. But that’s not all, Ruffian Games if also giving out more free (yeah, I said FREE) DLC for those Crackdown 2 owners amongst you. Check out all of the details after the jump!
  • Keys to the City: Made notorious in the first “Crackdown” expansion as the ultimate cheat mode, Keys to the City returns to “Crackdown 2” and puts an even bigger set of tools at your disposal, including God Mode, Infinite Ammo, Fly Cam, spawning of weapons, gadgets and more, the ability to freeze the time of day, and pushing all skills to the maximum to become faster, stronger and more lethal.
  • Level 6 Reward: Fans who reach Level 6 on all Agent skills will be rewarded with the new Thruster Ability. Thruster Ability is like having jetpacks for your boots, giving Agents built-in vertical propulsion to activate flying with the Wingsuit no matter where you are in the game.
  • Vehicle Tag*: Once you’re done taking down the Freaks and the Cell, join your friends for a thrilling new multiplayer mode where up to eight Agents can compete in these six arenas: Speed is the Quay, Industrial Action, Maim Street, Skid Row, Beachhead and The Sum of Human Knowledge.

And wait, that’s still not all! A batch of paid DLC is also coming your way with the price of 560 MS Points, in the form of:

  • Two New Vehicles*: Access two new vehicles: the wall climbing aquatic mini-tank called the Agency ATV and the Squad Chopper, which allows four players to jump in and man their own weapon, including the proximity mine launcher, precision rocket launcher, twin machine guns and nose machine gun.
  • Five New Toys*: Whether you’re soaring to greater heights or orchestrating a massive explosion, get creative with the following new toys: The Mass Driver (turreted gravity bending weapon), Portable Launch Pads (allows Agents to create their own launch pad jumps), Stickler Grenade (bouncing grenade that sets off smaller explosive charges as it bounces), Thrusters (allow vertical thrust), and Mags on Characters (allow Mag Grenades to be attached to characters).
  • Two Avatar Awards: Deck your Agent in the latest gear. “Toy Box” offers two Avatar Awards to customise your Xbox LIVE Avatar with the Xbox Green Suit (must complete the Rocketeer Achievement) and Green Helmet.
  • 10 New Achievements: Pacific City never sleeps and neither do the exploits. Industrious Agents will be rewarded with 10 new Achievements and 250 Gamerscore:
1) Beyond the Infinite
2) Run Get to the Chopper
3) Rocketeer
4) Tac Loc Takedown
5) Burnt Offerings
6) Mile High Club
7) Never Give It Up

9) Wing a Ding Ding
10) Hung Out To Dry

3) Agent Orange
4) May Contain Nuts
5) Minti-Sting
6) Mega Agent
7) Haz Mat

CRACKDOWN 2 DELUGE GAME DLC VIDEO AND SCREENS.

Way back in July the Deluge DLC was teased. It was all set to give us "new game modes to expand the play" and "a completely new way to play the game you've already got." Since then though we haven't got much information...or any information but now suddenly a video and three screens turn up without any explanation.

I still don’t have price or release date but with the video and screenshots we’re sure to find out soon, hopefully. Screen dump;

Crackdown 2 ‘Deluge’ DLC Pack Drops November 16th

Ruffian have released details on Crackdown 2’s second DLC pack ‘The Deluge Pack’.

Here’s the PR and three screens from MS. Details on vehicle, weapons and co-op improvements included:

“Crackdown 2” “Deluge” Game Add-on Unleashes Explosive New Co-op and Competitive Content, Coming this November

“Crackdown” Windows Phone 7 companion game “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst” delivers first of its kind integration between Xbox 360 and Windows Phone 7

On Nov. 16, Xbox 360 exclusive “Crackdown 2” will get its most riotous, challenging and fun addition yet with the release of the “Deluge” Game Add-on, available for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The new Game Add-on delivers a heart pounding, frenetic new co-op arcade mode called “Deluge” which pits up to four players against increasingly more challenging waves of denizens from Pacific City. The Capture the Orb mode, which introduces a “Crackdown” twist to capture the flag, will have you hurtling buildings and dodging rockets as you race to score, as well as several updates for “Crackdown 2” affecting weapons, vehicles and more.

The “Deluge Pack” will be available in both trial and premium versions. The trial version includes the complete sixteen-player Capture the Orb mode as well as a single player, sample version of the “Deluge” cooperative mode. The premium version consists of all Deluge content including the complete Deluge co-op mode, new achievements, avatar awards, as well as the sixteen-player Capture the Orb mode for 560 Microsoft Points.

The “Crackdown 2” “Deluge Pack” also delivers a first-of-its-kind integration for Xbox LIVE members, directly tying activities and accomplishments earned in the new Windows Phone 7 game, “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst,” with the Xbox 360 game. A new take on tower defense games, “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst” is a “home defense” game that uses Bing Maps to allow you to choose your home territory anywhere in the real world and defend it from an onslaught of Freaks and Cell Terrorists. By building lethal Agency bases at your home, neighborhood coffee shop, favorite geographical feature, and so on, your accomplishments in “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst” will unlock bonuses in Deluge mode that call in support, such as rocket-equipped Agency helicopters, extra Peacekeepers, and exclusive power-ups. Likewise, scores in Deluge can unlock new weapon upgrades in “Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst,” which will be available this November.

“Crackdown 2” builds exponentially upon the sizzling, action-packed gameplay of its predecessor, including the all new 4-player co-op and 16-player multiplayer modes. With formidable new enemies called the Cell and the Freaks standing in the way of the Agency’s goal to restore order, players return as genetically enhanced Agents in “Crackdown 2” to once again bring peace to Pacific City – by any means necessary.

"The homage to Crackdown in the [May 21 event] reveal screenshots was… I know there was some, like, ‘Did we accidentally sneak that…?’ It wasn’t accidental. Definitely.”
"For me, the natural progression for a game like Crackdown – and you see this showing up on our stage – is in these living, open worlds that live in the cloud.”
