Square Enix To Hold Bravely Second Livestream This Thursday

Earlier today, Square Enix announced a release date for Bravely Second in Japan, and in commemoration of the announcement, they’re going to conduct a livestream focusing on the game.

The livestream will be held on December 12th, 8:00 pm Japan time (that’s 3:00 am PST). You’ll be able to watch it via Square’s YouTube channel at this link (or via the embed above). Hopefully, it brings some information on Bravely Second.

Bravely Second will be released on April 23rd, 2015 in Japan. A demo for the game will be available in Japan tomorrow via the Nintendo eShop.

Ich bin mir ziemlich unsicher ob ich den Nachfolger will. BD war anfangs noch sehr motivierend, hab es um die 30h gespielt, aber irgendwann hatte ich keine Lust mehr drauf bzw es hat mich nicht mehr gepackt. Fand die Story auch ziemlich öde, falls ich das überhaupt beurteilen kann.

Ich fande die Story von BD sehr Interessant, aber die letzte Hälfte des Spiels hat mir den Spaß genommen ... ich hoffe die Entwickler haben sich die Kritik zu Herzen genommen. Ich hoffe es zumindest, deswegen bin ich auch extrem gehyped auf das Spiel.
Aber ich wäre nicht ich, wenn ich bei einen BD Thread nicht heulen würde, dass es noch keinen offiziellen EU Release Termin gibt

Bravely Second Introduces The New Cat Master Class

Square Enix has something for you cat-lovers out there—they’ve announced a “Cat Master” job for Bravely Second.

More information on the Cat Master will be available sometime tomorrow when the latest issue of Gangan Comics publishes, but Square shared an image of the job with Magnolia wearing cat ears (above) on their ongoing Bravely Second livestream today.

Bravely Second will release in Japan on April 23, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.

Hab schon ziemlich Bock drauf, allem voran wegen dem imo tollen Ende des Vorgängers und wegen Magnolia. Das einzige was mich stört ist Agnès' Design in den CGI-Stellen. Wie kann man ihr nur dermaßen Puppenaugen verpassen? Naja wird wahrscheinlich eh wieder nur 2 CGI-Sequenzen geben, daher auch wayne.

So Demo gespielt aber nicht durch da DeRosa mir viel zu hart ist selbst auf Easy, der war in Default schon nervig. Und grinden werd ich nicht.

So weit alles wie in Default. Gibt ein paar Ergänzungen aber die konnte ich alle net verstehen. Scheinbar baut man nun ne Mondbasis aus statt einem Dorf. Das KS ist soweit gleich was ich gut finde und der Grundaufbau auch. Die Party ist mir schonmal sympatisch, Magnolia ist witzig. Leider scheint es so das Agnes nicht dabei sein kann, mann kann jederzeit mir ihr reden. Die Animationen sind herzallaliebst. Also ich freu mich sehr drauf, hab Teil 1 geliebt

Bravely Second unveils Cat User job class

Minette Goroneze (voiced by Misaki Kuno) is an Asterisk Holder and “Cat User” job class, which specializes in brass knuckles and axes. These are some of the class’ known abilities:

Cat High Arts: Takes two items to summon a pair of cats to pull off powerful moves. At Jump Festa, it was shown in a demo as used to raise everybody’s BP by one, but has been deemed too powerful by the development team and will be re-balanced accordingly. What cats appear depend on items used. When “Death Spiral,” a move that hits several times, was used, the two cats were gray and brown, and a doodle of a cat appeared above the character that summoned them (apparently drawn by designer using their non-writing hand). Items used to summon cats are acquired through moon reconstruction.
Cat Arts: Following moves confirmed: “Consume,” “Slugger,” “White Window,” and “Book Burning.” These only take one item to summon a cat to do.
Nenneko: Makes all enemies fall asleep.
Lie Down: Raises physical and magic defense.
Dig: Not clarified.

Also revealed was the “Astrologist” class, which can be seen on the right side of the second picture at the top of the article. Virtually nothing is known about the class, save for the fact that its representative Asterisk Holder is a mysterious “elderly fortune teller” (and reminds us of Zeus).

Bravely Second is due out for 3DS in Japan on April 23.

Bravely Second’s New Cat Master Job Is Full Of All Kinds Of Tricks

Bravely Second adds more jobs to the series in addition to jobs that were available in Bravely Default. The newest job, the Cat Master, is one of the more unique ones, and it got a demonstration during Square Enix’s Bravely Second stage during Jump Festa 2015.

At the 41:20 mark of the video, we get a closer look at the new Cat Master job, with an illustration by Atsushi Okubo, known for his work in Soul Eater and also did some work in Bravely Default.

The two characters shown in the image are the Cat Master Asterisk holder Minette Goroneze, and a mysterious old man who is the Asterisk holder for the Astrologian job.

We then get a look at some footage that shows Minette introducing herself as a Cat Master, and explains that her job involves taking care of cats and assassinations.

She then goes on about how cats are great because they’ll never betray you, and she looks pretty sad when she says that they’re also good because you can live by yourself with them. She then sends her “Black Cat #1” off to go attack the party.

Next, at 43:30, they show some of the Cat Master in action with a demonstration of how they’re used in combat. The Cat Master’s main command is called “Put to Work” or “Order,” and it has all kinds of kitty-based commands that have various effects, such as putting all enemies to sleep, or increasing physical and magic defense.

They also have an ability called “Cat Attack” that lets you use various items to call out cats to do different moves, as demonstrated at the 44:40 mark. Cats will vary in color depending on the items you use as well. You can acquire these cat food items from monster drops, and other ways.

There’s an even stronger version of this called “Cat Special Attack” that requires you to use two items, and it can call out more cats for even more powerful abilities. The development staff felt that this was a bit too powerful, so they’re currently making adjustments on it.

As a humorous bit of info, development staff originally told the designer to draw the cat image as poorly as possible, to give it more of a playful look; however, he kept making it look too good, so they made him draw a cat’s face using his left hand, which is what you see in the above image.
