Gamers Nexus details newest problems with DLSS4 and NVIDIA 50 series:
Ramsch-Gaming
- DLSS4 has had little to no performance boost per wattage over the 4090
- 12VHP cables have been known to short causing permanent damage to your card
- Pixel Mosh Pitting: occasionally, the GPU might experience a minor driver hiccup, causing a few pixels to rapidly flicker or "dance" in place for a split second during high-load scenes, often when transitioning between textures or during quick camera movements.
- Memory Corruption on Heavy Loads: When the GPU is pushed to its maximum in resource-heavy applications, you may occasionally see visual corruption or strange pixelation that clears up when the load reduces.
- AI Haloing on Edges at higher resolutions. DLSS 4 might cause faint halos around the edges of objects, particularly on fine details like text, thin lines, or objects with sharp contrasts. This could be a side effect of the upscaling process misidentifying certain visual elements.
- Performance Drops with Frame Rate Capping: While DLSS 4 is supposed to improve performance, in certain games with frame rate capping enabled, you might experience subtle stutters or a slight performance drop when it tries to upscale to match the capped frame rate.
