First look at Samurai Warriors 4-II

Famitsu has gone up with its online preview of Samurai Warriors 4-II, Koei Tecmo’s newly announced followup to Samurai Warriors 4.

The game is not a sequel to Samurai Warriors 4, but rather “another Samurai Warriors 4” for players to enjoy.

New to the game is military warlord Ii Naomasa. He is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi and uses long spear in battle.

The “Infinite Castle” mode from previous Samurai Warriors games will also return. The character and weapons growth systems, as well as conversation events, action parts, and other areas have also seen upgrades.

A number of new stages are also set to appear, including, Koshu, Osaka Castle, Honzugawa Gate, Oshu, and Kuisegawa. Each stage has been carefully modeled after their real world counterpart during wartime, right down to the seasons and weather patterns.

Samurai Warriors 4-II is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on February 22 in Japan. It will be available in standard, download, and Treasure Box editions.

Samurai Warriors 4-II Helps You Level Up Weapons And Horses Through Synthesis

Koei Tecmo are working on a new expansion for Samurai Warriors 4, which will feature a new general and some more playable characters, and the Survival Mode from Samurai Warriors 2. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine tells us what else is new in Samurai Warriors 4-II. [Thanks, Zaregoto.]

The “Musou Military Exercise” will have playable scenarios, where you’ll also get to partake in choreographed routines, to go with offline and online cooperative play as well.

The create-a-warrior mode is also in Samurai Warriors 4-II, and will have an additional image data upload feature to go with it. Weapons and horses will level up better depending on synthesis, so if you use the same attributes, they’ll become even stronger.

As far as skills go, they’re learned through books found in the battlefield. There’s a set of skills that will be available from an early stage in the game, and you’ll progress from there as you level up and acquire better, more powerful skills.

Samurai warriors 4-II will release in Japan on February 11, 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

Samurai Warriors 4-II has a bath towel costume

Famitsu this week details a new chapter set to appear in Samurai Warriors 4-II.

The “Gathering of Flowers Chapter” sees Ii Naotora’s request for ‘wanting to become a cute girl’ granted, as Gracia teams up with Koshosho to fulfill it. Naturally, it will feature female warlords in full force, as well as a bath scene.

By clearing both this chapter and Koshosho’s chapter, you’ll get the battle ready bath towel costume, just as it appeared in the chapters’ event scenes.

Despite its make, the bath towel costume is said to be considerably strong.

Samurai Warriors 4-II is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on February 11.
