Microsoft confirms Forza 4 showing for E3

Microsoft has just sent out invites for a Forza 4 evening press event at E3 this year, taking place on Wednesday June 8 between 8.00pm–12.00am PST. The showing will reveal “what’s new under the hood of the best racing game of 2011 at an unforgettable event under the stars with new content you won’t see anywhere else.” We’ll be there, obviously. Hoffentlich wird die E3 PK von Microsoft besser als die vom letzten Jahr. Die letztes Jahr war verdammt schwach, die Jahre davor hatte Microsoft viel mehr zu bieten.

Meine Erwartungshaltung ist diesmal relativ gering... Letztes mal war ich ein bisschen overhyped nur um dann enttäuscht zu sein. Das passiert mir nicht nochmal. Aber ich glaub ich bin eh leicht zu überraschen, da die Spiele auf die ich mich am meisten freue eh schon alle angekündigt sind. Alles was darüber hinaus kommt: Top!

Stimmt, war nicht der erste Verrückte der bei MM am 2. Dezember 2005 um 10:00 über die Schwelle getreten ist, erst so gegen 10:15 ...^^

Anstatt mir aufzuzeigen was denn von 2005-2007 besser gewesen sein soll als alles danach, was du nicht kannst, flüchtest du dich in eine schwachsinnige Ablenkung, genauso wie du es als Antwort auf diesen Post wieder tun wirst. Lassen wir das ... E3 incoming!

ich fange damit auch kaum was an und zocke auch lieber mit kontroller - allerdings verteufel ich die technik nicht so wie du mit deiner engstirnigen fortschrittsfeindlichen haltung.

In term of what's to come for the Kinect I was given a sneak peek at titles in the works in London two weeks ago.

Unsurprisingly, sequels for the platform's biggest launch titles are in the works. Cynics will say that studios are merely fixing problems in the original versions, the result perhaps of having to rush the titles out in time for launch.

What was I shown? Well, I was shown a trailer for a game not due out till 2012 but was sworn to absolute secrecy. Apparently, Microsoft just wanted to give a glimpse of what the device will be capable of.

In fact, the game is such a secret that when I mentioned the game to Phil SpencerHarrison last week he was unsure at first whether even to admit the title existed. When I explained I had been shown it under strict Non Disclosure Agreement terms he looked relieved.

I don't mean to be a tease - all I can say is that I was left speechless. If the footage I was shown truly is "in game", as told to me by the Microsoft PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion.

And there I'll leave it. Feel free to speculate on what I was shown. I cannot, of course, confirm or deny what it was....
