mich wundern die Zahlen von VGchartz auch. Dass Move die PS3-Verkäufe so enorm geboostet hätte, wär ja nicht ungewöhnlich. Merkwürdigerweise sind lt Vgchartz in Europa aber bislang weniger als 300.000 Sports Champions verkauft worden - immerhin das mit Abstand stärkste Pferd im Movestall.

Seltsam auch, wieso in Amiland die PS3 nur moderat über der Wii lag die letzten Wochen, in Europa aber angeblich doppelt so hoch. Kurioserweise soll sich die Wii aber letzte Woche um über 40% (!) gesteigert haben bei den europäischen Hardwareverkäufen - und das ohne einen Systemseller.

Das ist alles schon ein wenig zu hinterfragen. Hatte bei vgchartz im Forum aber gelesen, dass die Weihnachtseinkäufe in Europa früher beginnen... was mir jetzt aber so nicht geläufig war.

Zusätzlich ist es bei 300k Sports Champions, klar dass dies zumindest der Zugtitel ist. Vlt. sind aber einige auch so schlau kaufen Move Starter Kit und tja dann vlt. nichts weiter. Haben ja die Demos. XD

Ne keine Ahnung vlt. ist auch einfach in Europa mit der 300er Marke fürs Weihnachtsgeschäft eine Hemmschwelle gefallen. Genauso wie bei der Wii, da sind auch Evergreen Titel von Nintendo welche immer ziehen...

kinect adwentures liegt jedem Sensor bei und kann nicht einzeln erworben werden.
Sind somit die kinect Vorbestellungen und da es in den USA zur Zeit nicht mehr vorbestellt werden kann ändert sich an den Zahlen wohl auch nix
Wäre allerdings schon etwas seltsam, wenn die Staaten zum Launch nur knapp 200.000 Einheiten bekämen.

Allerdings wäre es noch ungünstiger wenn bei solch einer Werbekampagne es keine frei käuflichen Geräte gäbe und der Kunde freudestrahlend in die Läden strömt um vor leeren Regalen zu steht
Somit wird sicherlich nur ein kleiner Teil der Erstliefermenge für Vorbesteller reserviert werden.

Kinect selling out, believe the hype

It doesn’t matter if you like it or not, the hype for Kinect is building, and the half of a billion dollars Microsoft is dumping into advertising is working. Oprah is on board…so is The Ellen Show. In fact, so many different celebrities from Ashley Tisdale to Justin Bieber are in the mix, and the kids and their soccer Moms are eating this up.

Some of the online stores have been sold out now for a few days, including Amazon, Best Buy, and even Costco!! Both Gamestop and Newegg show they have stock at the moment after displaying they had sold out once before. As of right now, Dell and others have plenty of stock, but for how much longer is the real question.

If you’re looking for a good place locally to pick up Kinect, Gamestop is still taking pre-orders in store for the time being, but they said to hurry before they shut it down. I asked about a midnight launch and the manager said they didn’t think they were going to have one, but stay tuned for more info on that.

Your local Costco is another great place to purchase Kinect since they usually discount it a little and have a great return policy (you might want that if it’s a FAIL!). I was actually just at Costco and they told me that they will be getting the Kinect sensor in-store, as well as the Xbox 360 bundles. The in-store price is $139.99 for the Kinect sensor and $389.99 for the 250GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle.

A tip for buying at Costco: Use your Costco American Express Card (don’t have one? Sign up in-store, it only takes a few minutes). You’ll get a small percentage back, plus a 90-day damage and theft protection plan, not to mention an added year to your warranty.

Some people are already banking on the hype and stocking up on pre-orders to resell on eBay, Craigslist, or the Amazon Marketplace. Kinect Preorders On Amazon Jump To $250

How much would you pay to get your hands on Microsoft’s Kinect motion sensor on the day it becomes available?

It turns out that Kinect may be selling well as the regular stock of the standalone Kinect appears to be sold out at BestBuy.com and Amazon. According to analysts, Microsoft began mass-producing Kinect back in August and ramped the volume to 2 million units in September, which is in line with previous reports that Microsoft expects to sell about 4 million units this Christmas season.

The numbers suggest that there should be enough supply to sell a Kinect device to everyone who wants (and can afford) one. So it is somewhat surprising that Amazon itself does not list the Kinect as available anymore. Instead, the interested buyer is forwarded to a list of sellers who are, at the time of this writing, offering the standalone Kinect device, which has a suggested retail price of $150, for prices between $250 and $280.

I don’t quite expect an Ebay frenzy after Kinect is released given the potential supply and we may not see Kinect selling for thousands of dollars (anyone remember the $15,000 PS3?) in online auctions, but a price of $280 is certainly a sign of confidence, even if one has to wonder whether a $300 4GB Xbox 360/Kinect bundle isn’t the better choice: Keep the Kinect for yourself and give the Xbox 360 away as a Christmas present.

In fact, it is reasonable to assume that there will be far fewer Kinect standalone units available than bundles as the high price of Kinect will, conceivably, drive buyers toward a bundle purchase. At $150, Kinect is perceived to be substantially more expensive than, for example, Sony’s $99 Move controller bundle. While Microsoft may be criticized for the high price, it could be a well-calculated gamble that may turn into an example of business brilliance: Many buyers could, in fact, perceive the 4 GB bundle for “just” $300 as the better deal – or upgrade from an old Xbox 360 to a new 250 GB version for $400 and get the 250 GB console for only $250.

While we do not know Microsoft’s exact production numbers of each SKU, we are taking an educated guess that Microsoft is making a business decision here and will be shipping more Xbox 360/Kinect bundles than standalone units. Your best chance to get a Kinect sensor at launch may be the purchase of a 4 GB or 250 GB bundle. If you haven’t preordered a Kinect sensor, but want the device on the first day of availability, you may want to budget at least $300 for a bundle (or shell out $250 or the standalone device.)

Amazon’s best seller list indicates that interest in the Kinect sensor alone has faded, which is conclusive because of the lack of availability, as the device is listed at rank #138 in the video games section. The 250 GB Kinect bundle is listed at #10, the 4 GB bundle at #41 and the standalone 250 GB Xbox 360 console at #46.
That trend, by the way, is exactly the opposite of what we are seeing with Sony’s PS3 Move controller – which has launched already and may not be directly comparable as a result: There is more interest in standalone devices than a PS3/Move bundle. The 160 PS3 is the most popular PS3 product at position #22, followed by the PS3 Move controller bundle for $99 at position #26. The PS3 Move 320 GB console bundle is at #40.

Could that be a sign that the success of the Move controller (apparently there have been 2.5 million units sold) did not translate into many more PS3 sales? Possibly. Could the current trend be a sign that Kinect will sell quite a number of Xbox 360 consoles? We think so.

In fact, we believe that this could turn into the best Christmas season for Microsoft yet and it has a good shot at outselling the PS3 and especially the Wii, which has dominated Christmas sales in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Von den selben Personen von denen die Wii immer als Casualconsole gebasht wurde, wird jetzt Kinect, dessen Lineup aus 100% Casual-, Party-, und Kindersoftware besteht, bis aufs letzte verteidigt und jede noch so kleine Kinectnews gefeiert.

Das soll einer verstehen.

Leute denen Technik egal ist und was hippes brauchen, haben sich eine Wii zugelelegt. Nun bringt der Technologie-Weltmarktfüher aus Redmond das Produkt des Jahrtausends, dass unser Leben veränderen wird.

Die XBox360 selbst ist Core Pur. Mit Kinect kommt die Zukunftstechnolgie für lumpige 199 $ ins Wohnzimmer. Top Notch, Leadig Edge für Jedermann...

Die Wiee hatte auch ihr Gutes. Viele wurden ans Gaming rangeführt und spürten den Core Gamer in sich. Diese sind nun auf die XBox360 umgestiegen, weil Core Gaming auf der Wii nicht existent ist, Mit Kinect holt auch MS auch noch die verbliebenen Wii-Casuals ins Boot, die sich verbessern und ubgraden möchten. Hinzu die Technikbegeisterten und verbliebenen Casuals auf den Markt.

Bewegungssteuerung ist für echtes Progaming, wie Maus und Tastatur auch, ungeeignet. Controller ist Core, Bewegungssteuerung Casual, daher soll und darf man keine Core Spiele für Motion Gaming erwarten...
