Medabots: Girls’ Mission announced for 3DS

Due out on March 10 in Japan for 5,800 yen, the game will ship in Kabuto and Kuwagata versions. Each version has a different girl protagonist and different girls that appear in the game. Character design is being handled by Sai Izumi, and Medabot design by Rin Horuma.

Girls’ Mission is an action game featuring over 20 girls and 100 Medabots. It depicts a battle-based drama where players aim to win the “Artemis Cup” Medabot tournament. Battles are two-on-two team-based fights, and whichever team causes the other’s robots to cease functioning wins. You’ll control your robots with actions linked to the A, B, X, and Y buttons. You can increase the level of friendship between the girl and her buddy Medabot as you battle, which will strengthen the Medabot as that level rises.

Through local correspondence, you can have team battles with a maximum of four people, and you can also control your buddy Medabot from the story mode. Through internet correspondence, you can participate in one-versus-one friend battles and random battles.

Players can freely interchange their robots’ head, arms, and legs parts. Each part has its own skills and characteristics. You’ll earn parts and points by winning battles. Points are used to increase the abilities of your robot.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 details Monster Synthesis

Square Enix has released a new set of details and screenshots for Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 introducing the game’s “Monster Fusion” system.

Get the information below.

Monster Synthesis

In Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3, in addition to leveling up monsters and attaching accessories, there is another way to strengthen your creatures. It’s called, “Monster Fusion.”

By joining together two ‘parent’ monsters, you can produce a more powerful ‘child’ monster. By joining together monsters born out of fusion, they can reborn as even stronger monsters.

In other words, by repeatedly fusing monsters, you can continue to increase the power of your monsters.

To perform a Monster Synthesis, choose two monsters as the ‘parents’ of the synthesis. Monsters are gender-less, so you can choose your favorite monsters.

For example, by combining Nasubinara…

…you’ll get the completely new monster Fondue.

Choose from Up to Five Monsters

You can freely choose which monster is born out of synthesis from five possible children. There will be monsters with types that are the same as the parents, as well as monsters with types different from the parents.

Monsters born out of synthesis will level up and exceed the abilities of their parents. There are a number of potential monster combinations, as well as some special monsters that can only be born through specific combinations.

Skills

Monsters born out of synthesis can also inherit skills from their parents. This is in addition to the skills it is born with. From a single skill, it can learn various special techniques and magic.

Dragon Ball: Project Fusion – New Manga in Works, Fuse Stages, Any Character

Later this year, Bandai Namco Entertainment is releasing Dragon Ball: Project Fusion to the Nintendo 3DS. This game has only been announced for Japan, but with the worldwide release of the previous handheld Dragon Ball game (Extreme Butoden), we are hopeful this latest one makes will make it’s way West as well. In the first two scans provided thanks to Dragon Ball superfan Jeremy Treevax, it explains fans will be able to fuse any character with another! In other words, not only will players be able create a fusion we’ve seen in the series (like Gotenks or Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta), but also unique ones never seen before in the Dragon Ball universe (like a fusion between Goku and Broly)! The scans are touting infinite possibilities as characters from the anime, manga, and games will be available for fusion.

Not only can players fuse characters, but they can also fuse different cities, islands, and other locales to create new stages. The example shown is between West City, where Capsule Corp resides, and some kind of floating island.

Last, but not least – there is a new Dragon Ball manga in the works to be published in Japanese magazine Saikyo Jump. This manga is in addition to the monthly Dragon Ball Super manga. This new manga begins this year and seems to be associated with the new 3DS game instead, with four sketches shown with the words “Top Secret” in the first scan. We’ve seen fusions between two characters in the Dragon Ball series, but the scan does makes it seem like there could be fusions between multiple characters and somehow already fused characters. At least from our understanding here at Saiyan Island, we’ll have to wait for more information to be sure. There are four sketches shown with the words “Top Secret”. The first has Goku, Vegeta, Gotenks, and Krillin. The second has Goten, Vegeta, Tien, Gotenks, and Gohan. The third and fourth sketches have two characters we’ve never seen before, possible the result of fusions.

3DS action RPG Ishi-Sengoku-Den Sadame coming to Europe on February 25

Ishi-Sengoku-Den Sadame, Mebius’ action RPG launched for 3DS in Japan in December 2014, is coming to Europe and PAL territories exclusively via the Nintendo eShop on February 25, publisher Rising Star Games announced.

Get the trailer and fact sheet below.

About

Translating simply as ‘fate’, four warriors are called to battle with a whirl of swords, spells and mysterious arcane abilities in this fast-paced hack-‘n-slash adventure. Cut a swathe through waves of demons as you battle against the vivid backdrop of a reimagined Warring States period of Japan. Players guide their chosen hero through dozens of stages, facing an onslaught of over twenty enormous bosses, collecting loot, enhancing their equipment and levelling up with new abilities with which to punish and slay Nobunaga’s hordes.

Choose from the sword-wielding Samurai; the ranged and stealthy Ninja; the spell-slinging Monk or the enchanting witchery of the Rogue. Each of the four playable heroes has a distinct story and gameplay style with their own abilities and skills to explore and enhance. However, as loot is shared between multiple save files and previously created heroes can be set to assist new ones in battle – not to mention the branching paths offered by the story – Sadame offers a huge amount of replay value.

Features

- Four distinct types of hero – Samurai, Ninja, Monk or Rogue – allow players to experiment with a variety of gameplay styles.
- Action mixes with deep RPG elements: new abilities, levelling up, equipment upgrades via enemy loot drops and a massive skill tree to unlock.
- Dozens of levels and over twenty bosses to test your heroes’ capabilities.
- Customize your experience via weapons, upgrades and levelling, with certain events and encounters available only to certain heroes.
- New difficulty levels unlock with successive playthroughs, while weapons and armor can be shared across multiple character files.
- Collect heroes via StreetPass and then utilise them as a support NPC. Locally saved heroes can also be selected to support!

Dragon Ball: Project Fusion Scan Reveals Minor Details of The Story Mode

The latest Dragon Ball: Project Fusion scan answers a few things that some may have questioned since the first scan. The first piece of information reveals that you don’t play as Goku this time, but rather yourself. While it’s not clear if your character can be created from the start or if you start off with one of the two characters shown on the lower left of the scan (the one with the blue cape is named Piniji).

Players will be able to meet up with characters from all over the Dragon Ball universe and can join your team.

The three scan commentators (from left to right) at the very top of the page said that if they were to have someone to fuse they would choose:

Nakajin: Frieza

Katayan: Vegeta

Yamanaka: Pan
