Unchained Blades developers FuRyu are busy with Lost Dimension, an RPGthat looks like it was inspired by Shin Megami Tensei IV. They’re also working on something quite different with the “ultra-pleasant harem game” To Love-Ru Trouble Darkness: Battle Ecstasy. The game’s official website shares more on the project.

While the game actually has a “plot” going for it, the official website details an action part where you’ll be playing as the protagonist, Rito, a regular Joe who suddenly finds himself in some sort of harem, and often landing in… unexpected situations.
While exploring dungeons, there will be a bunch of monsters to fight, including some that appeared in the anime. Rito uses “Lucky Items” to fight enemies, which all seem to have their own fighting style. You can pull off combos and fill up your meter to pull off special moves.
The items consist of close and long-ranged weapons that can be switched to go with the type of monsters you’re fighting. There’s also a “Lucky Pervert” meter called TTT (trouble touch time,) which will also have a special use.
These items consist of all kinds of wacky things, from the Octopus Knuckles, to plungers and frying pans.
As the trailer shows, you won’t only be fighting monsters, as various heroines will also be appearing to fight Rito. Certain weapons work only against heroines, while others are used against monsters.
Special challenge missions can be found in the dungeons as well, where they’ll give you objectives, such as defeat all enemies within a certain amount of time. All kinds of items can be acquired through these missions, and some of them can also be used to help enhance the… “plots” of our friendly heroines of the game.
To Love-Ru Trouble Darkness: Battle Ecstasy is slated for release on May 22, 2014 for PlayStation Vita.
