I think everyone, has recognized the growing interest of languages in the Sidewatchcorner of CW. So I came on the idea to create an english thread.
In this thread everyone is allowed to write down something. It doesn't matter what. You can write something about the latest news or about you and your daily happenig or your hobbys etc. Discussions are also wished.
In this thread it's not just allowed to correct someone, it's even wished to correct someone . In my opinion this could be a nice thing and im sure some of us will improve their english skills a bit : )
Since I've created this thread, I think that I should start and im going to tell you something about my life and what I'm doing right now. Since i didn't speak english about a year I'm convinced I'll have some problemes with the language and that's why I would be really thankfull for every tip oder correction.
Two weeks ago i finished my civilwork (is there in word for "Zivildienst" in english?) I worked 9 months as a janitor in a old people's home.
To my duties and responsibillites belonged building up furniture for the occupants, changing electric bulbs when they were broken and repairing other small things when it was necessary. Sometimes I evend had to carry out the garbage :kotz:
At the moment I'm looking for a study which fits to me and gives me the possibillity to live my dreams later. But this is more difficult than I ever believed.
Today I will go to the library to borrow two books. One in polish, the other in english. I'm doing this to improve my skills in foreign languages.
Later I'm going to visit my friends and drink some beer in a pub. ;D
