Resident Evil 5 Collector´s Edition kommt! :o


Mark your calendar for Friday the 13th, March 2009. A fitting, and worldwide, release date for Resident Evil 5. Capcom is promising that it will be the "hardest and scariest" Resident Evil yet. The best looking too. Lines were long at Capcom's E3 meeting room for a hands-on play of it. It was the longest wait for gameplay time that I had seen at the show. The game was also given a prominent showing during Microsoft's Xbox 360 media briefing on Monday.

Capcom noted that a collector's edition will be released, although specific contents are unknown. You can expect to pay $89.99 for the collector's edition. Resident Evil 5 will be released on the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3.

Trusty Bell(Eternal Sonata) Limited Edition?

Bandai Namco's kept players waiting for this one, so the PS3 rev of Trusty Bell demands a mega pre-order bonus item. The game appears to be getting just that. Today, Bandai Namco detailed the pre-order bonus, known as the Trust Bell Navigation Disc.

A flier that's being distributed to retailers.

The disc, which will be given to those who pre-order Trusty Bell Chopin no Yume Reprise, includes the following content:

Aya Hirano Interview
The voice actress for the Polka character speaks about Trusty Bell and her voice actor work.
Beat's Treasure Picture Hall
Beat, another character from the game, shows off "scoop" pictures he's taken of the other characters -- the kind of stuff you won't see in the game. Each picture is accompanied by a comment from Beat.
Illustration Museum
Focusing on newly created illustrations
Audio Commentary
Polka, Chopin, Waltz and Fuga speak discuss the charms of the Trusty Bell world.

Zumindest in den USA wird es eine aufwändige Collectors Edition zu Resistance 2 geben (Europa = TBA). Der Preis ist mit 79,99 USD etwas höher als bei einem normalen PS3 Spiel angesetzt. Folgende Sachen werden dabei enthalten sein:

* Resistance 2 Spiel auf Blu-ray
* Bonus DVD mit "Hinter den Kulissen" Video, Video Kommentar von Insomniac Games und das "Twisted History" Video
* Exklusiver HVAP Wraith Multiplayer Skin (fürs Spiel)
* Vorschau auf den kommenden Roman "The Gathering Storm" zu Resistance (Teil 1)
* Exklusive 5.5" Chimera Hybrid Actionfigur mit Bullseye Waffe
* Doppelseitiges Resistance Artbuch, welches das vom Krieg zerrüttete Amerika aus zwei Perspektiven vorstellt

Außerdem wird es demnächst noch den Roman "Resistance: The Gathering Storm" zu kaufen geben, der die Hintergründe zur Spiele-Serie beleuchtet. Das Buch ist bislang zwar auch nur für Nord-Amerika angekündigt, dürfte aber über kurz oder lang auch via Panini bei uns erscheinen.
