Metal Gear Solid 3: The Patriots
The next game in the series announced?

For those interested, IMDb currently has a listing and preliminary information about Metal Gear Solid 3: The Patriots, the next game in the Metal Gear series. As exciting as this news is, in reality, it doesn't mean much. Why? Well, IMDb, the popular source for movie information, doesn't actually verify all of the information they put in their database. A likely scenario is that, since we all know a new Metal Gear game is on its way, IMDb probably decided to ahead and put the game in their database with the information they had and would update it as more news becomes available.
So is the name even official? Probably not. The Patriots subtitle was thrown around in the rumor mill for some time and it's probably more of a placeholder than anything else. If you're still curious about the listing, you can view by going to IMDb.com and searching for "Metal Gear." Let the rumors begin!

Glaub ich net dass des passieren könnte. Konamis stärkste Plattform lässt man net fallen. Die hätten dann auch schon gleich MGS2 für die anderen consolen machen können.
 
Die werden das Game allein schon wegen der hohen Hardwarebasis auf der PS2 rausbringen.

Metal Gear Solid 3 at E3?
Hideo Kojima shares a bit on the sequel, inside.

May 02, 2003 - A recent interview conducted by Japan's monthly Hyper PlayStation magazine with Metal Gear Solid series mastermind Hideo Kojima contains some strong hints that Metal Gear Solid 3, the next entry in everyone's favorite tactical espionage action series, will make its public debut shortly.
The interviewer states to Kojima that it seems to be the proper time for MGS3 to be unveiled. "When you think May, you think E3. MGS always has its latest information unveiled yearly at E3," comments the interviewer. To this, Kojima responds, with a laugh, "We'll soon be at the point where we can show the game. In actuality, we'd like to, just like Star Wars, release the game without revealing any information on its content until the end. Although we probably can't do that."

Beyond this, Kojima shares little on the game. With regards to the supposed "The Patriot" subtitle for the game, Kojima states "Ah, that's false." Apparently, the game will have a different subtitle, although when pressed for the name, Kojima responds, again with a laugh, "Can't say just yet."

As far as actual details on the game, Kojima is of course silent. Instead of revealing anything new, he simply restates that the atmosphere for Metal Gear Solid 3 will be a bit different from the past.

Read this as you will. Kojima unfortunately doesn't seem to say anything solid about the game being unveiled at E3, instead stating that the game is approaching the stage where it will be ready for public unveiling. Of course, the magazine is correct in its statement that Konami tends to use E3 for Metal Gear Solid-related information, although just as last year focused on Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, this year could focus on the upcoming GameCube remake of the original Metal Gear Solid.

All will be revealed in the coming weeks. What's that? You're asking if we already know if MGS3 will be shown at the show? Ha! Even if we did know (and we're not saying we don't), we wouldn't tell you!

Die E3 wird immer Interessanter, da könnt ihr euch an GT4, MGS3, Jak & Daxter2 und noch ein paar Geheimprojekten erfreuen, auf was freut ihr euch am Meisten ?
 
Was die PS2 betrifft:

- Kin
- Ghost Hunter
- Gran Turismo 4
- MGS3 (wenn´s gezeigt wird)
- Socom 2

Für Xbox:

- Fable
- Halo 2
- Half Life 2

Für Gamecube:

- Hoffentlich ein neues Zelda in "richtiger" Grafik
 
Für PS2 bin ich am meisten auf Kin und MGS3 gespannt, die anderen Konsolen gehören hier nicht rein :rolleyes:

Bei MGS2 fand ich, dass es grafisch nach dem Tanker leider teilweise etwas abgefallen ist und ein gewisses Feeling verlor. In Teil 3 sollte Snake wieder die Hauptrolle haben..., und die Geschichte vielleicht auch wieder etwas "klarer" werden...

Also ich bin ja auch PS2 (3) Anhänger ... Aber jetzt schau doch: Metal Gear Solid: The twin snakes kommt ja für Gamecube. Und Zelda the Wind Waker is Saugeil. Wenn dann der Gamecube2 erschein, kann es ja genau so passieren, dass MGS3 für GC2 erscheint! Also abwarten und Tee trinken

denke dass es eher unwahrscheinlich ist. Die hätten dann schon den 2er schon längst auf dem Cube rausgebracht. oder ent?

Nein eigentlich freu ich mich auf jedes gute Spiel!!
Und wenn es nichts hilft muss ich mir einen GC holen!
 
Ich glaube nicht an MGS 3 für Cube! Ein weiterer Sidekick vielleicht oder eine Erweiterte Umsetzung wie Substance, aber nie und nimmer Exklusiv. Man sieht ja an Capcom zu was das führen kann.
 
jepp MGS3 wird auf jedenfall für PS2 erscheinen, konami will ja auch viel gewinn machen ;) ! der 3 wird doch wieder von konami gemacht oder? denke schon von wem denn sonst!

Nach vielen Gerüchten und Spekulationen ob Metal Gear Solid 3 erscheinen wird, bestätigte Konami of America nun das der 3. Teil der Serie auf der E³ vorgestellt wird.

Dies fanden die Kollegen von ign.com herraus. Da diese News in dem Cube Bereich der Seite veröffentlicht wurden, lässt es darauf hoffen das auch eine Ankündigung für den Cube kommen wird.

Nächste Woch werden wir dann mehr erfahren.
