MGS 4 coming to the 360 rumor is staying alive

The guys over at vg resource center are adding fuel to the Metal Gear Solid 4 coming to the 360 rumor. Supposedly, they received an email from an anonymous source at Konami stating that Xbox 360 owners would be seeing MGS 4 roughly six months after launch. In effect, a timed exclusive for the PS3. The email also goes on to say that Konami has

"been working with Microsoft so the 360 and PC versions will both take advantage of Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live, with such features as achievements and the ability for 360 and PC owners to play against each other in multiplayer"

Interesting isn't it? Just from that sentence we're going to have to call bullcrap on this rumor, especially since they're claiming to allow PC and Live players to play against eachother. How many games have fully integrated this feature and how much of an undertaking would it be? The undertaking would be massive and is especially odd since MGS 4 would have initially been a PS3 exclusive. There's definitely a chance that we'll be seeing MGS 4 on the 360, but only a 2% chance it'd be integrated into Live for Windows. Sorry everyone, we're going say "blah" to this Konami contact.

Ich denke auch, dass es so kommen wird, früher oder später! Capcom hat es schon erkannt, dass man mit 360-Games viel Geld machen kann, jetzt muss es nur noch Kojima / Konami einsehen :cool: Wobei bei mich die MGS-Reihe eh überhaupt nicht interessiert...

A recent blog entry by Brucie Schneider-Johne, Microsoft Germany's Product Manager, again re-emphasized Microsoft's overt goal to bring the Metal Gear Solid Franchise to the Xbox 360 by naming it, along with Final Fantasy, as titles they wish to add to their portfolio.

According to official sources Metal Gear Solid 4 is now slated to be a timed exclusive and will be joining Virtua Fighters, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and a number of other Playstation signature titles on the Xbox 360. Official announcement will be made at this years E3 show where Peter Moore, Vice President of Microsoft's Entertainment Division, will be unvieling his newest tatoo featuring the Metal Gear protagonist Snake.

Gerade MGS3 fand ich total scheiße...

ich fand, das teil 3 vom spielerischen her vielleicht nich die krone der schöpfung war, aber die story was besser als die story in irgendeinem anderen game! und die oddysee, die man in dem game mitgemacht hat, war unglaublich

Ich finde die verbliebenen PS3 Exklusivspiele nicht gerade reizvoll. Der FF Teich ist jetzt schon ziemlich leergefischt und die Fanchise nur noch langweilig. Und mit SC habe ich ein gute Alternative zu MGS, zudem ich Stealth spiele nicht mal so mag. Also: Ich will Kotor3 und Jade Empire 2...

Das Spiel hat mich nich nie interessiert und das wird es auch in Zukunft nicht. Nichts desto trotz freue ich mich natürlich darüber wenn einige Fans der Serie das ganze auf der XBOX 360 spielen können.

Ist zwar ohne Zweifel ein Aprilscherz, aber MGS4 wird so gut wie sicher auch auf die 360 kommen. Finde es ist nur noch eine Frage der Zeit bis der Port angekündigt wird. Ob mich dieser wirklich reizen würde sei mal dahingestellt, denn seitdem auch noch bekannt ist dass wieder die gleichen scheiß Synchronsprecher von Snake und Cambell drin sind ist das Spiel hochkant aus meinen Most Wanted geflogen. War nach den vielfachen Downgrades sowieso schon ziemlich weit unten bei mir. Die Sache mit den Sprechern hat dem Spiel für mich den Rest gegeben. Ein PS3-Kaufgrund weniger und auch auf der 360 nicht unbedingt etwas das ich kaufen würde. Es sei denn a) das Spiel wird spielerisch und grafisch wieder zu dem als was es angekündigt wurde und b) es wird eine deutsche Synchro geben. Da ich aber weder an das Eine noch an das Andere glaube....... Tja....

Verstehe das Problem von einigen nicht. Diejenigen die es nicht interessiert brauchen sich es ja nicht zu holen, und im Zweifelsfall hat man halt immer noch einen potentiell guten Titel für die 360 mehr.

Also ich würde mich riesig darüber freuen.

Das hat noch Zeit. Planmäßig zum MGS4 Release im Feburar/März 2008. Falls allerdings bis dahin schon eine MGS4: Subsistence Version für die 360 angekündigt ist verschiebt sich das ganze mindestens auf 2009..
