"Several New Games Revealed
Nintendo lists off more than a half-dozen new GCN titles on the way.
March 22, 2002 - Nintendo of America revealed a batch of new GameCube titles in development today from the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, California. A number of unknowns -- previously announced, and a few popular franchises made the cut. Here's the full list, courtesy of the company.
· Evo -- Take Two
· Mafia -- Take Two
· Reign of Fire -- Bam!
· Acceleration -- Xicat
· Extreme Downhill Racing -- Acclaim
· Gothic -- Xicat
· Mage -- Bam!
· Mary Kate & Ashley Tropical Trouble -- Acclaim
· Shade -- Metrod 3D
· Top Angler -- Xicat
All of the aforementioned games will debut in the second and third quarters of this year, according to Nintendo. The list also included a GCN version of Shantae from Capcom, but when contacted the developer commented that no GameCube incarnation has moved forward yet. It did note, however, that the project is under consideration.
IGNcube will have more on each of the above games in the coming weeks. For now, though, at least note that they're coming."
