EA Announces FaceBreaker

Electronic Arts' Fight Night games are many things -- some of the most visually-impressive titles in existence, the only boxing games that have been taken seriously in recent years, and some of EA Sports' best reviewed games.
But if there's one thing they're not, it's "funny." Since EA Chicago and EA Canada (who took over the franchise starting with Fight Night Round 3 on PS3) have established Fight Night as serious boxing brand, the company saw a gap in the market with room for a more lighthearted boxing game. Enter FaceBreaker for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii, in development at EA Canada.

Looking somewhat like a cross between Ready 2 Rumble Boxing and Team Fortress 2, FaceBreaker is a cartooney boxing game that will literally let players break each others' faces (one of the features touted by EA is "real-time facial deformation"). According to EA's Peter Moore in a press release, "Arcade boxing takes me back to my roots in this industry, and this game signals our shift to adding more approachable fun to our product lineup."

Rather than use real boxers, the developers created fictional characters such as Romeo, "a Latin lover known for his pelvic thrusts," and Molotov, "an oversized Russian demolitions expert with a penchant for fighting dirty." Players will also be able to use the Game Face technology seen in games like Tiger Woods to transfer personal photos and make themselves into characters in the game.

THQ arbeitet an Red Faction III

Die Volition Studios (Saints Row Xbox 360) von THQ arbeiten an dem Science Fiction-Shooter Red Facion III (PS3, Xbox 360). Das bestätigte Brian Farrell, CEO von THQ, in einer Telefonkonferenz.

Das Spiel soll in den nächsten Wochen enthüllt und bis März 2009 in den USA ausgeliefert werden.

ja da muss ich zustimmen.

red faction habe ich damals am pc gezockt und es war echt gut.
red faction 2 wurde dann für die xbox gekauft und das game war echt nur ein 08/15 shooter.

teil 3 kann da ja nur besser werden.

Naja sieht nicht gerade überzeugend aus. Ich denke es wird halt durch die Physik-Engine punkten. War ja immer so das man in RF sich Wege selber bauen konnte.

Bis auf das zweite Bild sehr schwach. Das würde sogar nen Cube oder ne Xbox 1 hinbekommen. Vielleicht sogar das zweite, wenn ich so an Riddick zurückdenke.

Welches game würdet ihr euch an meiner stelle zuerst holen: devil may cry 4 oder dead rising?:-? ich würde mir gern beide titel sofort holen aber ich bin derzeit leider etwas knapp bei kasse.

Welches Rollenspiel findet ihr von kampfsystem und der story am interessantesten:
blue dragon, eternal sonata oder lost odysee?

Ich hab mir diesen Monat DMC4 und Dead Rising gekauft und als RPG Eternal Sonata und Enchanted Arms in letzter Zeit.^^ Würde auf jeden Fall zu Eternal Sonata raten, falls du aber das Design aus Lost Odyssey magst und Old Skool gameplay nicht abgeneigt bist machst du damit sicher nichts falsch. Blue Dragon konnte mich in der Demo überhaupt nicht überzeugen, Enchanted Arms gefälltmir persönlich auch ziemlich gut vor allem dank dem hohen Comedy Anteil. Ob du dir zuerst Dead Rising oder Devil May Cry 4 kaufen sollst ist schwer zu sagen, ich finde das man einfach beide Spiele gespielt haben sollte da sie in ihren Genre's zur Elite gehören.

ich werd morgen mal die dead rising und die devil may cry demo zocken und mich dann entscheiden.

Man ist leider in beiden Demos stark begrenzt, aber für nen kurzen Eindruck sind die ganz ok^^

Naja wer wollte nicht schon mal zusammen mit anderen Superhelden spielen und gegen das Böse kämpfen. Der Trailer überzeugt noch nicht so ganz, aber auf den Bildern sieht der Cel Shading Look gut aus.

Das Spiel ist im Prinzip das von MS gecancelte Marvel MMORPG denn es ist der gleiche Entwickler. Mich wundert es das sie das Spiel trotzdem auf die 360 bringen.
