[h=3]Epic Games working on a new IP[/h]As Fenix takes a break from the events at the catastrophic events at Sera, Epic games moves onto other pastures with a new IP as indicated by their recent job posting for a gameplay programmer. Though the job has been removed it still exists within Google's cache http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...l=in&client=firefox-a&source=www.google.co.in, here is a screen shot of the post.

The posting is for the same team which was working on Gears of War 3 which means Cliffy (to be married) Blezenski is already ramping up for his next project.

Remember how the next iteration of the Unreal engine was showcased with a Blade runner-esque tech demo, maybe the guys see potential and have decided to give it a whirl as a full fledged game.

After all Gears of War also started out as a tech demo and each successive iteration of the engine was showcased with Gears assets.

Epic Games is searching for an experienced Technical Artist to work on multiple new and existing IP's across multiple platforms. You should have a combination of strong creative/visual aesthetics and technical knowledge (the job is roughly a 50/50 split in these areas). You should also be experienced in every aspect of the content creation pipeline, as well as be able to think outside the box to come up with techniques that work better or faster. Your goal will be to attack the more complex issues that arise when we push the technology envelope, both in production on current hardware, and prototyping for next-generation hardware.
