PS4/XOne/PC Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition

DMC out of all major action games (excluding Dynasty Warriors) in it's type probably sells the best in Japan -- so it's good to see MS taking advantage of every situation. If NG can sell about 60,000 on Xbox1, DMC4 should do a lot more since the hardcore audience of the 360 should eat it up and hopefully attract others.

All this in a special DMC4-themed box, for just 37,800 yen! In addition to being a 4,000 yen discount over buying the system and game separately, this price is exactly 10,000 yen less than the recently announced PS3 bundle, providing some incentive for DMC fans to jump in.

Capcom's IR pages has been updated (as of Dec. 21, 2007). I don't recall if anything particulary notable has been updated since when I last posted it a few months back before the 'update'. But here it is.

Resident Evil 4 (WII) has broken 1 million units worldwide, and the new Apollo Justice (DS) game has sold 520,000 units. They state "penetration of women and casual gamers has been successful [due to DS/Wii]"

They also claim RE4 hitting 1 million on the Wii is the first time a domestic third party game has done so. Both RE4 and Apollo have exceeded expectations.

Breakdown:

RE4:
JPN - 140,000
EU - 410,000
USA - 420,000

Apollo Justice
JPN - 520,000

Lost Planet PC
WW - 310,000

Monster Hunter Freedom 2:
Japan - 250,000
Overseas - 220,000

Next, they talk about how they have won a total of 7 awards from JAPAN GAME AWARDS 2007. Making them the most kick-fuckin-ass Japanese developer. (somebody tell Kojima to go to Capcom). Apparently no other Japanese company has won so many awards. The award winners are:

Monster Hunter 2nd Freedom
Dead Rising (international award)
Lost Planet (international award)
Zack and Wiki
Devil May Cry 4
Sengoku Basara HEREOS (reads sporks thread to see how super awesome it is)
Okami

Capcom is impressed with the results over their multi-platform strategy, and they are strengthening their overseas focus with titles like Dark Void, Bionic Commando, SF IV, Lost Planet and ... ??? Okami ???

Results Intended for early 2008:

Devil May Cry 4: (Xbox 360, PS3 -- worldwide ) 1.8 million (DMC3+DMC3SE also sold, 1.8 million according to Capcom's IR pages.)

Umbrella Chronicles (worldwide) 620,000 (likely already reached)

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 : G (Japan) 500,000

It then talks about the arcade business, where they suffered losses. They also talk about cell-phone penetration, as well as other businesses like panchislo slots (DMC3).

Jetzt bringt MS auch ein Bundle, obs was bringt. Die 360 ist ohnehin viel viel billiger als die PS3. Die meisten werden wohl zur PS3 greifen.
 
Erschlagt mich, aber Farblich passt Grün (und weiß) nun wirklich nid mehr zu Rot und Blau.^^
Ansonsten mal sehen, wie das Bundle laufen wird.
 
Devil May Cry 4 gibts bei der Grotte für 48€ :)

leider nur die normale 360 Version. Ich will die SE für die PS3 :)

Wieso kostet das nur 48 Euro? Das ist ja mal krass, vielleicht kaufe ich es mir dann auch Mal, obwohl ich nicht so der Hack&Slay-Fan bin. :)
 
Was diemal wirklich interessant ist, ist die PS3/360 bundle sache. Obwohl das 360 Bundle 10.000 Yen weniger kostet, wird es interessant sein zu sehen, welches Bundle sich besser verkauft^^

Interessant? In Japan? :lol:

Ich glaube, jeder normale Gamer hier weiß, welche Version sich besser verkaufen wird ... sollte die PS3-Version sich nicht mindestens doppelt so gut in Japan verkaufen, wäre es ziemlich peinlich.
