Der offizielle Keynote Megaton Thread

At 18.30 GMT (10.30 PST), Sony Worldwide Studios president Phil Harrison will be taking the stage at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco to deliver his long-awaited keynote - the first time that Sony has set out its stall in public since the US and Japanese launches of the PS3 late last year.

We're expecting to hear plenty from Phil about the company's online plans, and we've been promised some brand new games to look at as well as a demonstration of the future of the PS3's network service. Will it be enough to silence Sony's vocal critics? Only time will tell - but for now, roll up, ladies and gents, the keynote circus is back in town and tonight's performance should be a good 'un.

We'll be kicking off Live Text from San Francisco on this page just ahead of half six, or as soon as Ellie can think of some wry observations to make about being in a massive room with 4,000 game developers. Aber nee, bin mal gespannt, was Sony und Nintendo bringen, nachdem sich MS stark auf XLA konzentriert hat. Sony darf gerne neue Trailer zeigen, N auch, aber v.a. sollte N was zum Online-Modus sagen (und dabei gleich noch Termine für BWii und Strikers 2 bekanntgeben, aber das hat auf einer Entwickler-Messe wohl nichts verloren).

Nintendo wird ja wohl wegen der Aktien-Geschichte kaum was bringen. Sony dagegen sollte was bringen. Hohe Erwartungen habe ich allerdings nicht. Auch nicht an MS. Eigentlich ist es mir sogar fast egal. Umso besser, kann ich halt mehr positiv überrascht werden. ;-)

Ich würde die Erwartungen nicht allzu hoch stecken - zumindest noch nicht. Bin auch gespannt was Sony uns bringen wird, trotzdem sollte man versuchen einigermaßen auf dem Teppich zu bleiben, erinnert mich gerade nämlich irgendwie an die TGS bzw. E3.
Hinterher kann man sich dann sowieso noch freuen.

Wenn da mal keine Enttäuschung aufkommt, weil einige von euch den eigentlichen Sinn und Zweck einer GDC falsch interpretieren.
Scheint aber wirklich zu einer Mini E3 verkommen zu sein.

Ich hab gehört, dass Nintendo die Keynotes am Donnerstag hält, weil da diese Aktien-Limitierungs-Geschichte endet. Weiss da jemand was von?

Anyway, ändert den Titel hier doch am besten in "Phil Harrisons Keynote", das wird son Spamming, dass jede Keynote nen eigenen Thread brauchen wird.

I was really impressed with what I saw. I think they're finally getting the idea that social connectivity is important. You know, what they showed us tonight could potentially be even more popular than Nintendo's Mii and all that sort of avatar based cartoony stuff. This is really something that could push Playstation3 adoption forward

Finally Playstation is here. Like, finally I really want to pick up a Playstation3. Lots of user created content. Great stuff from the Playstation store. The exclusive game they will unveil tomorrow is amazing. Just a lot of fun stuff. They've finally got it in terms of making the user experience very friendly and fun. A lot of people are going to get on this thing and just have a ball. Wait for more when the embargo is up, that's all I gotta say.

People will respect Sony: The time has come for video game journalists to stop earning a living bashing Sony and give the publisher its due. Tomorrow morning, the company will roll out its latest PlayStation 3 initiative as well as a very innovative video game, and anyone that criticizes them for that should be beaten. This is really cool stuff

Die Keynote ist afaik schon am Donnerstag.
Aber ich weiss nicht, ob dann die Aktien Geschichte zuende ist.
