The Witch and the Hundred Knight: A NIS Game Through And Through

The Witch and the Hundred Knight is an interesting title from NIS. In one sense it’s something different from them, while in another sense it’s really the same old thing. Being a dungeon crawler makes it a change of pace from their usual Disgaea games, but at its core the game offers the large amount of customization the company is known for, repetitive and time consuming game play that inevitably comes with the grind, their signature twisted humor, and familiar music and art. It’s not perfect, and NIS has made some better dungeon-crawling games and roguelike titles in the past, but the game is still tons of fun once you get into the swing of things, and offered a world that I felt was more interesting then the usual settings typically seen in NIS titles.

16.04.15 - Nippon Ichi will am 21.04.15 ein neues Spiel in Japan enthüllen, wie sich einer Countdown Website entnehmen lässt. Er läuft um Mitternacht ab - in Deutschland ist es dann erst Montag, der 20.04.15, 17:00 Uhr.

Um was es sich für ein Spiel handelt, ist unklar. Release: TBA (Japan)

Offenbar handelt es sich um eine Neuauflage des PS3-Action RPGs The Witch and the Hundred Knight (jap. "Majo to Hyakkihei") von 2013, das den Titel The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival tragen wird. So ist das Logo des neuen Spiels im Code der Flash-Datei main.swf auf der Website zu finden. Womöglich wird die Neuauflage für PS4 oder PS Vita auf den Markt kommen.

21.04.15 - Nippon Ichi gibt bekannt, dass man an einer Neuauflage des PS3-Rollenspiels The Witch and the Hundred Knight (jap. "Majo to Hyakkihei") für die PS4 arbeitet. Das Spiel trägt den Titel The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival und soll in dieser Woche in der Dengeki PlayStation vorgestellt werden.

Wie Dengeki Online vorab schreibt, wird die Grafik überarbeitet und verbessert. Neue Spielmodi sind geplant, während erstmals auch die Hexe Metallia selbst spielbar sein soll. Release: TBA (Japan)

The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival debut screenshots, limited edition announced

Nippon Ichi Software has released the first batch of direct-feed screenshots from its upcoming The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival for PlayStation 4.

The enhanced port offers upgraded visuals at 1080p and 60 frames per second, as well as a new mode where players can temporarily control Metallia the witch by meeting specific requirements.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival will launch for PlayStation 4 in standard (6,800 yen) and limited editions (8,800 yen) in Japan on September 25. The limited edition will include an art book, original book cover, and special-made box. First-print copies of the game will include the “Metallia’s Sword” weapon download code.

Da meine PS3 am YLOD gestorben ist bevor ich den ersten Teil mir zulegen konnte, bin ich froh das ein PS4 Port kommt.
Und ein zweiter Teil noch hinterher ist natürlich auch nice.

Nippon Ichi Software has released a new trailer for The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival, its upcoming PlayStation 4 enhanced port of last year’s PlayStation 3 original action RPG.

The trailer introduces Metallia, the game’s “Swamp Witch” who was previously announced as playable. You’ll see brief footage of her in action.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival Is Coming Westward

It looks like The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival is headed to the West. The USK, Germany’s rating board, has rated the PlayStation 4 game as The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game features enhanced visuals, a better framerate, and also adds a new dungeon called the “Phantom Tower”. You can learn more about it here.

NIS America haven’t yet announced a release date for The Witch and the Hundred Knight: Revival Edition, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for one.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight Revival comes out on September 25 in Japan. While the game has not been officially announced for the West, it has already been rated in Germany indicating a Western announcement is forthcoming.
