EA Sports/EA Canada
Matthew Kato (Game Informer): “EA has clearly put some good work in here, and I suggest you reward it with some ice time.”

99. Ninja Gaiden Sigma
PS3 Exclusive
470K
88%
June/Action
Tecmo/Team Ninja
Gavin Ogden (GamesRadar): “Once mastered, you'll find an immersive action romp full of original challenges, incredible environments and interesting characters. This game might have been around for years, but the intensity of the gameplay has yet to be bettered.”

98. Cooking Mama: Cook Off
Wii Exclusive
470K
61%
March/Other (Cooking)
Majesco/Office Create
Sterling McGarvey (GameSpy): “Simple exercises, such as rolling pasta dough, become torturous experiences, not because the game itself is challenging, per se, but largely because the controls don't feel precise or intuitive enough for the nature of the gameplay.”

97. Naruto: Ninja Council 3
DS Exclusive
470K
57%
May/License
D3Publisher/Eighting
D.F. Smith (G4 TV): “It seems like the developer started with that good idea, but couldn't figure out how to make the details work -- how to design levels that worked with the controls, instead of constantly getting in the way.”

96. NASCAR 08
PS2/PS3/X360
490K
56%
July/License
EA/EA Tiburon
Sam Bishop (IGN): “…NASCAR's underlying experience is so incredibly average. With so many amazing racing games, from sims to arcade crash-a-thons, NASCAR 08 no longer fills a niche larger than the actual sport, and while that may be good enough for die-hard fans of the sport, it's definitely not going to satisfy casual racing fans.”

95. EA Playground
Wii/DS
500K
66%
October/Other (Party)
EA/EA Canada
Chris Antista (GamesRadar): “Cynical adults will write it off, and rightly so, but the fact that each of the well designed games offers multiplayer support could mean that Playground will be around much longer than we expected.”

94. Turok
X360/PS3
500K
69%
February/Shooter
Touchstone/Propaganda Games
Xbox World 360 (CVG): “Basically, it's just extremely generic and has that 'safe' feel about its design that suggests that its spent more time with the marketers than it has the artists.”

93. Bee Movie Game
DS/Wii/PS2/X360/PC
530K
58%
October/License
Activision/Beenox (PS2/X360/PC), Smart Bomb (Wii), Vicarious Visions (DS)
Frank Provo (GameSpot): “You could argue that the reason the game is simple and short is because it's geared toward young kids. While there's some merit to that argument, it really doesn't explain why the overall design and presentation are so underwhelming.”

92. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
PS3 (other versions came out earlier and are not counted here)
530K
93%
March/RPG
Bethesda/Bethesda
Joe Rybicki (1Up): “But if you don't own a 360 or a high-end gaming PC, I have this piece of advice for you: Run -- do not walk, run -- to your local game retailer and buy this game.”

91. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Wii Exclusive
540K
75%
November/Shooter (Rail Shooter)
Capcom/Capcom, cavia
Michael Gapper (GamesRadar): “A slow start makes way for more intense action on later levels, and though it never feels like an all-out shooter or a true RE experience, it occasionally touches on both.”

90. The Sims 2: Bon Voyage
PC Exclusive Expansion Pack
540K
74%
September/Other (Simulation)
EA/EA Redwood Shores
Andrew Park (GameSpot): “Obsessive Sims 2 fans will probably want the expansion for the collection-based gameplay and the prospect of bonus want slots; casual Sims 2 fans should enjoy just getting out of the house and taking a holiday.”

89. Surf’s Up
PS2/PS3/PSP/X360/DS/GC/Wii/GBA/PC
560K
60%
May/License
Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal
Neville Nicholson (PALGN): “If you find the trick system enjoyable, or the word “combo” sends you into a tizzy, there’s certainly some enjoyment to be had in Surf’s Up, but when all is said and done, there are better options out there.”

88. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
PS2/PS3/X360/Wii/DS
560K
36%
June/License
2K Games/Visual Concepts (PS2/PS3/X360), 7 Studios (Wii/DS)
Greg Miller (IGN): “Just when you think you've seen all the rage-inducing parts of this title and believe you can finish it without embedding your PS2 controller in the wall, the game tosses in timed battles.”

87. Boogie
Wii/DS/PS2
560K
57%
August/Other (Music)
EA/EA Montreal
Gus Mastrapa (Onion A.V. Club): “Boogie is more puppet show than rhythm action game. There's fun in there for players with the patience and creativity to find it.”

86. Cars Mater-National
DS/PS2/PS3/X360/Wii/PC
570K
69%
October/License
THQ/Rainbow Studios
Jack DeVries (IGN): “The game has enough charm and movie references to be cool for major fans of the film. However, the racing is really rather basic, keeping it from being a real competitor in the racing game genre.”

85. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe
DS/PS2/PSP/X360/Wii/PC
570K
55%
October/License
Activision/Next Level (PS2/PSP/X360/Wii/PC), Artificial Mind (DS)
Kirsten Kearney (Pocket Gamer UK): “The character control for most of the game is academic anyway, as much of the gameplay is little more than a series of straightforward beat-'em-up scenarios.”

84. Burnout Dominator
PS2/PSP
570K
76%
March/Racing
EA/EA UK
David Cook (CVG): “Dominator is, truly, excellent fun and we've concentrated on the negatives because we're so disappointed it's not up to the stellar heights of previous games.”

83. Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
X360/PS3/PC
590K
65%
November/Shooter
Eidos/io Interactive
Kristan Reed (Eurogamer): “There are many many positives to come out of Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, but sadly too many things weigh against it to mark it out as a must-have in a ludicrously competitive environment.”

82. Ben 10: Protectors of Earth
PS2/PSP/DS/Wii
590K
59%*
October/License
D3Publisher/High Voltage Games
Matthew Walker (Cheat Code Central): “If you are a younger viewer of Ben 10, then this could please you for a few hours. On the other side of that, if you are viewing it from an older perspective, you might want to pass this one up and hope they deliver another installment.”

81. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
PS3 Exclusive
600K
88%
October/Action
SCEA/Insomniac
Mikel Reparaz (GamesRadar): “It's not just the visuals, either, as the game's plot is pulled rapidly along by tight writing, excellent voice acting and a genuinely funny script. That said, when viewed on a decent HDTV, this is easily one of the PS3's most stunning games.”

80. Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party
Wii Exclusive
610K
69%
September/Other (Music)
Konami/Konami
Andrew Hayward (GamesRadar): “With its ability to attract new gamers, the Wii is a perfect home for Hottest Party, which may be the most mainstream-friendly series entry in years.”

610K
71%
March/Sports
EA/EA Redwood Shores

78. Heavenly Sword
PS3 Exclusive
630K
79%
September/Action
SCE/Ninja Theory
Matt Leone (1Up): “For those looking for the next big triple-A action game, Heavenly Sword is close, but not quite there.”

77. Spongebob’s Atlantis Squarepantis
DS/Wii/PS2/GBA
630K
65%
October/License
THQ/THQ
Jack DeVries (IGN): “The single player has some cool parts, and manages to stay at the right difficulty level for the target audience, but it's still clunky and repetitive. The multiplayer is boring because it's not quite designed to work as a multiplayer game.”

76. Crash of the Titans
PS2/PSP/X360/DS/Wii
630K
70%
October/Action
Sierra/Radical
Cameron Lewis (GameSpy): “There's the usual nonsense about Neo Cortex taking over the world, but the different animal personalities are so charming, and the self-referential humor so relentlessly silly, that you're unlikely to cry foul too loudly.”

75. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Wii/DS
630K
67%
November/Other (Minigame)
Ubisoft/Ubisoft Paris
Alex Navarro (GameSpot): “The minigames are mostly decent, but few really inspire the same sort of cackling glee that the first game did.”

74. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2
PS2 Exclusive
660K
73%
June/License
Namco Bandai/CyberConnect2
Greg Miller (IGN): “Although there's a list of moves, as long as you memorize your special technique and then alternate between circle, X and square, you're going to win. While the results look good, they feel empty.”

73. The Darkness
360/PS3
660K
82%
June/Shooter
2K Games/Starbreeze Studios
Kristan Reed (Eurogamer): “…any fan of first-person shooters needs to play this game, even though the occasional duff level, and the slightly pedestrian AI disrupts the quality at times.”

72. NBA 2K8
PS2/PS3/X360
670K
72%
October/Sports
2K Sports/Visual Concepts
Jeff Haynes (IGN): “NBA 2K8 is one of those titles that barely escapes being a mild roster update. As long as you're willing to accept its flaws, you'll find an enjoyable basketball title here for your PS2.”

71. Burnout Paradise
X360/PS3
680K
89%
January/Racing
EA/Criterion
Dan Amrich (Official Xbox Magazine): “Burnout Paradise’s online and offline challenges cram in a lot of value and variety. As long as you’re willing to explore the city’s nooks and crannies, drive offensively, and take a hell of a lot of risks, you’ll find it supremely rewarding.”

70. Dirt
360/PS3/PC
690K
83%
June/Racing
Codemasters/Codemasters
Mike Jackson (CVG): “It's an arcade-style rally game with immense variety in cars and courses, it looks incredible (although still has some choppy frame rate dips) and has the most amazing crash physics. Combine the huge single-player career with the online racing and there's loads of racing pleasure to be had.”

69 bis 40
69. Tomb Raider: Anniversary
PS2/PSP/X360/Wii/PC
700K
81%
June/Action
Eidos/Crystal Dynamics
Jeff McAllister (GameShark): “Even though Tomb Raider: Anniversary has its ups and downs, it is most certainly worthy of anyone who had a chance to play the original or anyone who had wanted to.”

68. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas
PS3/PSP (other versions came out earlier and are not counted here)
700K
86%
June/Shooter
Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal
John Davison (1Up): “For anyone holding out to play the PlayStation 3 version of Rainbow Six: Vegas, the wait has certainly yielded the most generous version of the game so far.”

67. Medal of Honor: Airborne
X360/PS3/PC
710K
73%
September/Shooter
EA/EA LA
Matt Bertz (GameInformer): “Medal of Honor: Airborne sprinkles minor moments of brilliance though a minefield of questionable game design. Fans of the series will experience some memorable gunfights, but if you’re a casual gamer looking for a great World War II title, stick with Call of Duty.”

66. Imagine: Fashion Designer
DS Exclusive
710K
30%*
October/Other (Fashion Sim)
Ubisoft/Virtual Toys
Lucas M. Thomas (IGN): “All of these issues being in place, Imagine: Fashion Designer just ends up being a frustrating, unfocused and ultimately soulless product.”

65. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
PS2 (other versions came out earlier and are not counted here)
720K
75%
March/Action
Rockstar/Rockstar Leeds
Chris Roper (IGN): “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is essentially more of the same, for better or for worse. It's a nice leap over what we saw in Liberty City Stories, but it still feels "safe" by many standards.”

64. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
PS3 Exclusive
730K
88%
November/Action
SCE/Naughty Dog
Kristan Reed (Eurogamer): “Far from being just another Tomb Raider, Uncharted, at times, feels like a wish-list of all the best bits of your favourite action games of the past five years.”

63. The Bigs
Wii/X360/PS2/PS3/PSP
730K
66%
June/Sports
2K Games/Blue Castle Games
Liam Pritchard (AceGames): “Look past the annoying fielding issues and the scarcity of options and you are left with one of the better sports games to currently grace the Wii.”

62. MX Vs ATV: Untamed
360/PS2/PS3/PSP/Wii/DS
750K
70%
December/Racing
THQ/Rainbow Studios
Jonas Allen (DailyGame): “THQ's game is still entertaining on its own, but videogames don't exist in a vacuum, and gamers need to allocate their next-gen budgets wisely. Unfortunately, with its graphical and gameplay oversights, MX vs. ATV Untamed just doesn't have what it takes to keep up with the pack.”

61. Skate
360/PS3
780K
86%
September/Sports
EA/EA Black Box
Phillip Levin (Kombo): “Bottom line: the analog stick-based Flickit controls beat the pants off conventional button presses for doing flip tricks.”

60. Drawn to Life
DS Exclusive
820K
73%
September/Action
THQ/5th Cell
Bryan Stratton (GameSpy): “…while many elements of it have been executed better in other games, it's a testament to how one big new idea can make tired old gimmicks seem fresh again.”

59. Medal of Honor: Vanguard
PS2/Wii
820K
63%
March/Shooter
EA/EA LA
Matt Richards (GamingTrend): “Still, if you're an avid WWII fan, enjoy FPS games, only own a PS2, don't like Call of Duty, and/or don't mind dropping $40 for around a 7 hour journey with the 82nd Airbourne, this game could be worth picking up.”

58. Spectrobes
DS Exclusive
820K
63%
March/RPG
Disney Interactive (the Buena Vista)/Jupiter Corp
D.F. Smith (G4 TV): “Spectrobes is hampered by some downright weird design decisions, and for something you’d think would be aimed at a younger market, it’s confusing enough that even veteran gamers might wonder which button does what.”

57. Pokemon Battle Revolution
Wii Exclusive
850K
53%
June/Action
Nintendo/Genius Sonority
Michael Vreeland (Yahoo! Games): “Pokemon Battle Revolution is a deeply conflicted product - its complete lack of compelling single player content is somewhat mitigated by the impressive production values and multiplayer extensions, but in the end it's hard justifying spending $50 for an extra coat of paint.”

56. Hannah Montana: Music Jam
DS Exclusive
890K
60%
November/License
Disney Interactive/Gorilla Games
Matthew Keast (GamesRadar): “There are non-music minigames thrown in, but they’re half-assed and the music minigames, which are semi-Guitar Hero-style, are fun, but there’s no way to access them outside the story.”

55. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Wii Exclusive
900K
91%
June/Action
Capcom/Capcom
Kevin VanOrd (GameSpot): “This is the definitive version of a modern classic and a must-play, even if you've already experienced the unique thrill of Resident Evil 4 on another platform.”

PS2/Wii
920K
73%
November/License
Atari/Namco Bandai, Spike
Brandon Lindsey (Gamernode): “It's not a game most fighting game players will enjoy due to the simplicity of combat, but it's the best yet in terms of capturing that special DBZ essence.”

53. Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground
PS2/PS3/Wii/DS/X360
950K
65%
October/Sports
Activision/Neversoft
Chris Roper (IGN): “We've seen all of the good parts from the game multiple, multiple times now, and it really just feels like we're playing a large expansion pack.”

PC/X360/PSP
1M
86%
October/Sports
SEGA/Sports Interactive
Chris Buxton (PC Gamer UK): “Whatever the case, it's hard to escape the feeling that FM 2008 is treading water - it's still immensely absorbing but there's nothing to grab new converts, and some of the duff stuff is still in there.”

51. Motorstorm
PS3 Exclusive
1M
82%
March/Racing
SCE/Evolution Studios
Jim Cordeira (Gaming Age): “While it's not a killer app, the gorgeous visuals, chaotic off-road racing action and 12-player online multiplayer support are definitely worth it.”

50. Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s
PS2 Exclusive
1M
69%
July/Other (Music)
Activision/Harmonix
John Benyamine (GameDaily): “As an expansion, Encore performs adequately, with Harmonix delivering more Guitar Hero to the masses. With more effort, however, it could've been the ultimate 80s party game, a disappointing thought, given the average song list and the exorbitant $49.99 price tag.”

49. Devil May Cry 4
X360/PS3
1M
84%
February/Action
Capcom/Capcom
Shane Bettenhausen (1Up): “Although it dips into the recycling bin a bit too much, Devil May Cry 4 still remains a must-play title for action-adventure gamers.”

DS/PS2/PSP/Wii
1M
66%
October/Other (Life Simulator)
EA/Maxis
Tom Baker (WorthPlaying): “Fans of the series may find something to like here, and it fulfils the idea that handheld games are time killers rather than deep or emotive game experiences on their own.”

47. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Wii Exclusive
1.1M
90%
August/Shooter
Nintendo/Retro Studios
Brett Elston (GamesRadar): “This is the final Prime game, however, and it's easily the best, with a formula that's been tweaked and pruned to its most perfect point. Now please do something new before we all get tired of it.”

46. Carnival Games
Wii Exclusive

August/Other (Minigame)
Global Star/Cat Daddy Games
Ben Reeves (Game Informer): “Just like a real carnival, you’ll feel cheated more than once playing these virtual simulations, but the real carny scam might be trying to sell this “discount” title for $40.”

1.2M
61%
March/License
Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal
Tom Orry (Pro-G): “Judged alongside great action platformers like Prince of Persia, TMNT comes up short, but as a game made strictly for kids, it's not a bad effort.”

41. Mario Strikers: Charged
Wii Exclusive
1.2M
79%
July/Sports
Nintendo/Next Level Games
Richard Melville (Eurogamer): “Yes, it might feature the usual selection of Mario heroes and villains, but there's more to Mario Strikers than waving the remote for five minutes and then passing it to someone much younger than you, along with a jammy dodger and a glass of milk.”

40. High School Musical: Makin’ the Cut!
DS Exclusive
1.2M
66%
August/License
Disney Interactive/A2M
Dave Magliano (Nintendojo): “It leaves the game to basically a 12-song MP3 playlist with a little tap-tap-tap in between. It may be enough for younger fans, but they may be better served by purchasing the actual soundtrack.”

39. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
PC/X360
1.3M
85%
March/Other (Strategy)
EA/ EA LA

Wii/PS2
1.3M
64%
October/License
Disney Interactive/A2M

35. Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree
Wii Exclusive
1.3M
68%
June/Puzzle
Nintendo/Nintendo

Guckt euch doch mal Devil May Cry an.

:shakehead: :shakehead:

Ansonsten: interessante Liste :)

Carnival Games vor Metroid Prime zeigt so ziemlich alles, was falsch läuft...
