ign hat ein paar infos zum action-adventure hit auf dem gba:
December 16, 2002 - Infogrames' European office today announced the upcoming release of Sega's Action RPG for the Game Boy Advance, Shining Soul. Infogrames will release the game to the European markets in February 2003; the publisher has a similar distribution deal with Sega in Europe as THQ does in the US.
Shining Soul was released earlier this year in Japan; the game puts players in the role of one of four different character classes: Warriors, Archers, Dragonutes and Wizards. The game features realtime combat with role-playing elements, and also allows for up to four players to cooperate in the adventure through the use of the link cable.
But as for a stateside release? Sources at THQ informed us today that it currently has no plans on releasing Shining Soul to the US market. THQ's current publishing agreement will end in March 2003 when it releases Crazy Taxi, Jet Grind Radio, Space Channel 5 and the as yet unnamed Yu Suzuki Pack (a compilation of arcade games including Out Run Afterburner, and Space Harrier). After that, it's up to Sega to either release its future GBA games on its own, continue to pair up with THQ or find a new publishing partner for its US releases.
Whatever happens, thanks to the upcoming European release of Shining Soul, we're one step closer to a US release. Check out English-language screenshots of the game in action by hitting the link below.
