Despite online speculation, Nintendo has NOT made any announcements regarding the European launch of GameCube - and it still doesn't expect to reveal its plans until the New Year.
Online reports suggested than Nintendo Japan had announced that GameCube would launch here in April or May and that 300,000 units would be available by day one.
But Nintendo UK this week countered that it has not yet set a launch date, whilst stick to its long-time claims that the machine will ship in 'Spring 2002'. The so-called Nintendo 'announcement' was apparently a misconstrued comment from a HQ executive.
"There is so much anticipation out there that any small thing that is printed on the Internet becomes gospel", said Nintendo's Shelly Friend. "We don't want to announce a date until we are confident we can stick to it."
Ich hoffe jeder versteht Englisch, wenn nicht kleine Zusammenfassung. Es wird behauptet, das die Aussage mit April oder Mai nie so gemacht wurde sonder von einem HQ oder so von Nintendo von den Reportern falsch verstanden wurde. Sie würden erst nächstes Jahr, wenn sie sich mit dem Termin sicher sind ein Release Datum ankündigen. Ich tippe mit mal auf dieser Spielwarenmesse.
