Level-5's New Game Is...

Nope... it's not "Sengoku Baseball Team." It looks like Level-5 will be teaming up with Jiro Ishii, director of 428 -- you know, the Chunsoft sound novel that got a perfect score in Famitsu. The new project, being worked on by both Ishii and Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, will feature a time travel theme. Hino describes it as "a large scale game" and "a title that could become a popular series for Level-5."

A name? It seems that Famitsu didn't provide one. As for platform, Hino apparently said "Centered on a system that's not yet in this world, it will expand to other systems. It will be this image."

Das sagt Hino doch bei praktisch allen Eigenentwicklungen: I11, Ninokuni, Layton, Sloan and McHale, Cardboard Senki - am Ende ist es dann in der Regel ROID.

Naja, noch nicht, offenbar. Ich bin allerdings gespannt, Level 5 hält sehr viel vom Spiel.

Gute Frage. Sinnloses und/ oder schlecht übersetztes japanisches Marketing-Geblubber oder so - nehme ich zumindest an.

Es gibt wohl immerhin einen Titel, ein Logo, ein Artwork, und ein paar rudimentäre Infos zum Entwicklungsteam - das Spiel wird unter Leitung von Jirou Ishii, seines Zeichens ex-Chunsoft und einer der wenigen Designer mit einer 40/40-Wertung der Famitsu, bei Level5 Tokyo entwickelt - einer neu gegründeten Außenstelle von Level5. Und wir haben zumindest einen Hinweis auf die Plattform. Vielleicht taucht auch irgendwann demnächst ein Scan mit besagtem Logo und Artwork auf.

im interview erfährt man sogut wie nichts zum spiel " alles noch top secret"

Ishi and Hino would not discuss what platform the came was being made for, but Hino seemed to imply that Time Travelers would be released for the 3DS when he said, "We're creating this game for hardware that doesn't exist yet."

Though Ishi would not offer details on platform or genre, he did say the game would do something that no one else has. "...I have an idea about time travel that has never been done before, even in movies or books."
