Workin title: Last Flight

Genre: Horror - action, slasher

Developer: Bloober team

Platform:
WiiWare

Target group: teen

WiiWare service.

The game play is in real time and divided into four episodes which are going to be released every 3-4 months. Every episode starts with reviewing of what has happened in the previous one - therefore the player can start his adventure from a chosen episode.

Continuous action, changeable alliances, surprising turns of events, together with a very intuitive control system make Last Flight one of the most interesting 2009 Nintendo Wii premieres. The game is going to be presented in a cell-shading technique.

first Nintendo Wii slasher
easy to use combat system based on chains of simple gestures
huge responsiveness to player Wii Remote moves thanks to hierarchical structure of all combo-moves
combo lists constantly available on-screen during gameplay for casual players (no more need for remembering or learning them!)
4 episodes, released every 3 months
interesting plot that goes against stereotypes
black humour jokes present thorough all cut-scenes
cut-scenes stylised for short, funny and cynic comic strips
beautiful cell-shading graphics and music creating dim atmosphere

Larry Adelman is a 38-year-old American travelling to Europe to write books about cuisines of the world (he is a culinary critic). Short, chubby and bald man distinguishes himself by a sharp language and black sense of humour. At the same time, he has an optimistic attitude to life, which makes him able to stay calm and have hope in even the most difficult situation.

On the same plane, sitting next to Larry, is Anna; wearing a mourning, yet sexy dress. She is a 30-year-old beautiful Romanian girl, travelling to her country to bury her father (resting now in the coffin in the cargo hatch). In the opening we can see Larry chatting and joking with Anna, seemingly coming to like each other.

As a result of strong turbulences, Anna's father body falls out of the coffin. It turns out he was not quite dead - he is a vampire. This sudden event makes Jan (that is his name) awake and hungry after being asleep - unnoticed, he starts attacking the passengers of the plane. The plague of vampirism spreads quickly. The only person knowing how to deal with it is Anna, as she turns out to be a specialist in tracking vampires. The situation forces her to make Larry a quick course in this field.

The role of the player is to play Larry but often he will be able to switch between characters (as in Resident Evil 0).

The first regular level of the game takes place on a plane. At the end, regardless of the player's progress, the plane is destroyed and the action moves to the biggest passenger ship in the world. Next levels (2nd, 3rd and the last - 4th), are going to take place on a ship (respectively on 3rd, 2nd and 1st deck).

The game scenario anticipates making allies, which often turn out to be treacherous. The player will often not know who to trust, especially that one of the playable characters (Anna), is going to have doubts about her identity (thanks to the direct influence of her father, Jan).

The gameplay is going to be similar to slashers (e.g. Devil May Cry series), but many elements taking advantage of Wii Remote, will bring features of old school point&click adventure games.

Lashing with a special blessed whip will freeze a vampire for about three seconds (this however depends on the level of transformation of a given individual). On stopping the vampire, one needs to drive a hewn stake through his heart. The player can only have four stakes with him - should he need more, he needs to prepare them by himself.

The vampirism is based on a virus manner of infecting - different influence on various individuals, various levels of transformation - different symptoms and different strength of vampire attributes. The action is going to be very fast and the use of pre-defined views will allow for a large number of film effects.

Also, there are very characteristic people on the plane - heavy-metal band, Japanese fans, Russian businessmen - thanks to them, allies or opponents are going to have their significant character, instead of being jus mindless monsters

For the time being, only single player is planned. On completing all four episodes, apart from adventure mode, there is going to be a bonus of being able to complete the last level with a machine gun shooting stakes instead of bullets.

The graphics is going to be presented in cell-shading; this way, the presentation of slaughter on the screen will be a little bit similar to Japanese anime.
