Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II
Attention all Hunters - a new mission awaits you, should you choose to accept it. To begin your assignment, you must land on Planet Ragol via an alternate spaceship known as the Nintendo GameCube! Coming this Fall, the award-winning series from Sonic Team will mark a major first for the Nintendo GameCube and become the first online title. With Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II, you'll enjoy loads of exclusive new features for even more spellbinding, intergalactic gameplay than ever before.
In this latest version, you essentially get two games in one. Current PSO fans will feel at home with Episode I, which includes all the content and gameplay from the original PSO and PSO ver.2. You can test your nerves of steel in Challenge Mode, dive into a player-vs-player deathmatch in Battle Mode, or even take in a little Lobby Ball while chatting with your team. Your favorite characters, levels, and quests are all there - and looking better than ever on the Nintendo GameCube.
Episode II brings a new full-length adventure to the Nintendo GameCube, so you can continue your mission in brave new territory. You'll face real-time combat with enemies that are more menacing, more fierce, and more powerful than you've encountered before on Ragol. New levels, like the breath-taking mountain and beach stages, give you expanded areas of gameplay and deep, lush worlds to explore. You'll also be given all-new quests to complete, additional weapons to master, and lots more rare items to find.
There is also a new split-screen, 4-player mode for intense offline gameplay. You can team up or compete with up to three of your hunter friends on the same console. Choose between Episode I and Episode II stages for intense multiplayer action in a variety of different modes.
An upgraded character creation mechanism gives you seemingly infinite customization options, including choice of hair style, skin color, clothing, face, and even height and width. The three main character classes of previous PSO games are available here, each with a new, fourth being to choose from. There are also two brand new classes, giving you a slew of new characters to select and mold into your identity of choice.
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II is still in development and is set to launch this Fall. Further data on your new intergalactic mission will be revealed at a later time - report to the Nintendo GameCube section of Sega.com for game updates.
