ever before and they are going to deliver even more experiences in the future. Not only the look is more realistic but also the reactions if you shoot someone for example. First Person Shooter is the most popular genre in the world. It takes place in the several war's in the history, in the special forces of the united states or other countries and in the future. Many gamers in the world have been playing together now in clans and teaming up for different competitions to win prizes. Video games have created a really big social network on a virtual way.
Because of the more realistic look and the better reactions in physics, politicians have been accusing video games. The reason? In 2002, a 19 years old boy killed thirteen teacher of his school, a police man and two pupils before committing suicide, known as the amok run of Erfurt and in 2007, a gunman killed 32 people and injured 30 more before committing suicide too, making it the deadliest school shooting in modern U.S. History. This massacre took place in the Virgina Tech University in North Virginia. Both times, the media said... that these people had been playing video games when they started killing.
The question is now... are video games the reason why people start killing?
In my view there can be a little chance that people start killing because of video games but i am certain that there is one more reason which is even a bigger cause than video games. The society.
Due to today's youth focusing on famous clothes, a cool image and acceptation under their friends. The problem is, a boy living in less social standards can't afford such clothes. That means he won't be a cool guy in the views of other people and so he won't get any respect. In the end he is bullied around by people of his school till he is done with the world. On the one hand not only school is a big problem but also the own family, on the other hand most time the parents don't know what is happening to their son. In relation to the Virgina Tech massacre some time ago...obviously he was hiding it in front of his parents so they couldn't do something when it happened. So nobody should accuse the parents for everything, nevertheless one thing what parents should do is to control what their son plays and they should try to check if their son is really happy. I am convinced that there are more problems in the society why young people started killing than in video games. Above all I think that many young people break up school because of the bullying and then they don't even know what they can do for a living in the future. They don't want to life anymore... taking revenge for all the bullying in the past.
In contrast to the reasons above, for many young people, video games are the last chance for them to escape a world full of problems. The bad thing, they don't know that they are going to get much more problems. This is one scenario what will maybe happen to them: First, it will start with small things like that they will start to ignore school or that they won't clean the own room anymore. Due to all the problems, there is a chance that they will get really addicted to video games. When parents don't realize that their children have a problem at this time its going to be much worser than you might imagine In the worst case they will start to forget to eat or to drink and they get badly ill. After all i am sure that one thing is really going to happen... sometimes they don't get what they want and in the end they realize that their life is... in a bad condition. They are going to give up or they start to change something. We already now what will happen if they give up.
To sum it all up, I would say that video games aren't the problem or possibly just a very small part of the problems why people start killing, then again video games are maybe the last silent scream of a young boy or a young girl who needs help. Although they were involved in the amok run of Erfurt, people found out at last, while accusing video games for the Virgina Tech Massacre, that the boy wasn't even playing games at all. So everyone should see, that this is mostly a bad preconception. Therefore I would say that the society is the main reason why people start killing.
The last thing I can say without any regrets....when I was young then i was one of these people too.
I know how they feel and I know how it feels like to think that your life gets out of control. But I have managed to solve the most problems by myself without any help and now i am standing here, still changing my life and still playing video games but mainly for business...
