Rumour Two – Don’t You Wish Capcom Rumours Would Stop!

Am I getting a feeling of déjà vu here? Well let’s look at the latest rumour going with Capcom shall we. Now I know you have heard this rumour before but it has crept to my attention that Nintendo are big level discussions with Capcom bosses about a buy out of the company or at the very least to have them become a second party developer. So why am I reporting on this rumoured buy out again even though Capcom denied the rumour? Well apparently the deal will be finalised and announced at this years E3 show in Los Angeles. That’s not all I know about though. Apparently Capcom will be finishing and releasing Devil May Cry 2 and Mega Man games for the Playstation 2 because they are very nearly finished. Dino Crisis 3 will also get its proposed X Box release in the spring but will not be exclusive. This is because the game is apparently being ported to the Cube as we speak. That’s excellent news because that was one of the only X Box titles I was looking to play. As for Devil May Cry, the sequel will remain PS2 exclusive as the third instalment is already under works for a little Purple Box of joy alongside Onimusha 3.

Rumour Rating – 6/10

Rumour Bite – Now take this with a pinch of salt. It has come to my attention that Sonic will be playable character in Mario 128. Apparently the game will have use the same technology used in Resident Evil 0 where you will be able to switch between the two characters. Sonic and Mario won’t just be teaming up though, expect Bowser and Doctor Eggman to be up to no good as well. Take with a pinch of salt. Rumour Rating – 5/10

Rumour One – Zelda 2 Details

Surprisingly this rumour has come to my attention more than once and I am pretty sure there may be some truth in it. Well let’s start from the beginning shall we. I started hearing a few rumblings from a source inside Nintendo that a Zelda sequel was in the works for a 2004 release. After reading what he had to say I scoffed at it as I thought that the next Zelda game wouldn’t be out to the Gamecube 2 is released. After I scoffed at the rumour, a week later I read about Mr Miyamoto telling Famitsu that a new Legend of Zelda game will be released in Japan in 2004. As you may think I apologised to the guy who sent me the information and asked if he had any more info on the game. He replied with some information on the game. Apparently this new Zelda game has been in development for a very long time, from 2001 I believe. You see Wind Waker began production as soon as Majora’s Mask finished and when it was unveiled to the gaming public it got quite a cold reception. Well Nintendo become worried that the game might not sell as well as they were anticipating after the reaction it got, therefore a new Zelda game started development a few months later, a realistic one! My friend also told me not to expect to see the game at E3 but to wait to Spaceworld! I’m sure your saying – But Chris Spaceworld has been cancelled! – Well read the rumour bite below.

Rumour Two – E3 Rumours Round Up

This will be a permanent part of the Rumour Mill until after E3 is over. There have been some very interesting rumours floating around about more special collaboration projects between Nintendo and other third party developers. The most interesting has to be the joint effort between Square and Nintendo. Remember the Mario RPG game released on the SNES? Well I have heard that Square has been hard at work on a sequel to the game for a while now. The first showing of the title is scheduled for E3 along with a GBA counterpart. Yes, a GBA version of the game is in the works and will have link up to the Cube version. Unfortunately, whereas the Gamecube version will be brand new, the GBA version will be simply a port of the SNES original with a few added extras. So what other collaborations are planned? I have heard that Sonic Team are working on Sonic Adventure 3, which will also be unveiled at E3. I have heard that a certain plumber will make an appearance in the game one way or the other.

Rumour Bite – After announcing a September European release for Product Number 03, I have the displeasure of announcing that Capcom may be deciding to delay the game. Expect the game to hit shelves this December or next January. Evidently this may be the only game of the Capcom five to be released in Europe this year.

Rumour Bite – Wondering what Factor Five’s two games are? Wonder no more as the games will be Thornado (X box and Gamecube) and Star Wars Rogue Leader 2 (Gamecube Only).

Final Rumour – More Miyamoto Hints

Miyamoto has been dropping a lot of hints about games on the Cube, hasn’t he? Here are a few more morsels that have come to my attention – Mr Miyamoto said that Nintendo are strengthening their relationship between themselves and Namco and Sega. What could this mean? Well I have heard that a Sonic and Mario platformer is well in the works with both Sonic and Mario joining together to defeat both Bowser and Dr Eggman. Take with a pinch salt though. Namco are currently working on a few exclusives for the company as well which should be up and running at E3. I don’t know about you, but I feel support for the Cube is growing, not decreasing. All the companies that matter is backing the Cube and that can only be a good thing.

Rumour Two – E3 Roundup

Since the last time I was with you, Mr Miyamoto has dropped a lot of tasty morsels of information to us. So lets look through the rumblings he presented to us. First of all I can confirm that Donkey Kong Racing is definitely still in development. The game (once being developed by Rare) is being developed by NCL and a secret second party developer. How do I know this? Well Nintendonewsonline got a five-minute interview with Mr Miyamoto at the DICE Convention. It makes an interesting read, and Mr Miyamoto confirms to the site that Donkey Kong Racing is in development. Read the full interview at nintendonewsonline.com. Other pieces of information point at the Zelda sequel using a realistic type of graphics instead of the cell shaded graphics. There will also be a new franchise unveiled at E3. I honestly don’t know what this franchise could be, but if it is as good as Pikmin I’ll be very happy. There are other rumours, but you’ll have to wait two weeks to see what they are.

Rumour Two – Metal Gear Crazy!!

Over the last fourteen days, there has been a lot of confusion over what’s going on with the Metal Gear series. I’ll tell you what I have heard from insiders and try and clear up all the confusion just for you fine readers. Am I not too good to you all? Well, what I have heard is that Konami intend to bring the whole Metal Gear series to the Game with two exclusive Metal Gear games. The first to be released will be a remake of the very first Playstation Metal Gear Solid; this will be exclusive to the Gamecube and will also include all the VR Missions as well. Next will be a port of Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance, from the X Box version followed by Metal Gear Solid Three for all next generation platforms. Finally Metal Gear Solid Four will be Gamecube exclusive or possibly (I was told not to rule it out) a launch title for the Cubes successor. It all depends when the third instalment of the series is finished. So what will be at E3 then I hear you ask. You can expect for the exclusive remake and Metal Gear Solid. You will have to wait for the Fourth one though.

Rumour Three – Sega Loves Us

Sonic Team does anyway because IGN have reported that multiple titles for the Cube are in the works including a new Sonic game. Seeing this rumour I decided to see if I could dig out any more information and this is what I have found out… At E3, Sonic and Nintendo will be announcing, at the very least two, collaborations between the companies. What could they be? I don’t have a clue but that’s not all. A sequel to Virtua Football, Super Monkey Ball 3 and Virtua Fighter Quest will be showed off at the event as well. Possibly Skies of Arcadia 2 and a secret online title will crop up.

So after all the talk of what was going to be going on at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition, I got given to me an e-mail address which should give me some information. I then used this e-mail address to ask about E3and to my shock I got a response. Not ground breaking but it does confirm a lot of the titles at the show. Here is the response I got:

“Although it's no secret that Nintendo is working on a ton of great upcoming titles for the Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance, I'm not sure what we'll have to show off at E3. It's pretty common knowledge that we are coming out with F-Zero, Mario Golf, Wario World, 1080º: Avalanche, Kirby's Air Ride, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Metroid Prime 2, Pikmin 2, and others, but I'm not sure what will be available for public viewing. Nintendo's always had a few tricks up our sleeves, so expect the unexpected.”

Was it just me are did I see Metroid Prime 2 in that list? I haven’t even finished the first game yet!!! Metroid Prime 2 will be the bomb! I can’t wait for this show. It’s also interesting that I was told to expect the unexpected. I’ll go out on a limb here and say that Nintendo will be revealing online plans at the show plus I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cube’s successor will be there if it is going to be released as early as people say it is. See Rumor 2 if you haven’t heard. I then replied asking about third party support at the show and this is what he had to say:

“Last year we have numerous licensee titles in our booth, so hopefully we'll learn more about titles like Dead Phoenix, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, The Italian Job, Killer 7, Metal Gear Solid, Soul Calibur II, Viewtiful Joe, and other anticipated Nintendo GameCube games. I know that Capcom, Activision, THQ, and other major players in the game will have a strong presence at E3 next month.”

Interesting to see that Capcom was mentioned for having strong support at the show. I though they were backing away from the Gamecube? It’s nice to see that third parties will have strong Nintendo presence at the show. Oh I can’t wait!

 ich glaube seit Megaton :angst: legen viele Nintendo Spieler kein wert mehr an Gerüchte  aber hört sich doch Interresant an ;)

Rumour Bite – Now take this with a pinch of salt. It has come to my attention that Sonic will be playable character in Mario 128.

Was daran alles wahr ist :-?
